The notability tag

[edit]

I come across here since the ongoging edit warring between two editors, Kathyrncelestewright (talk · contribs) and Critic11 (talk · contribs) at The Emperor's New Clothes arises my curiosity on the subject. According to my quick research from Google news, she is a very notable academic given that she is featured in over 220 news articles, referring to her "renown expert on Children's literature". The article needs expansion, not the notability tag (now removed).--Caspian blue 16:14, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you -- I didn't want to be having an edit war, but Kathyrncelestewright (talk · contribs) was editing the entry in a biased way. I believe she tagged scholar entries out of revenge. Critic11 (talk) 16:21, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Vital data

[edit]

I added External links LCCN and GND via Wikidata.

LCCN gives DoB 1945-05-13, middle initial M. (no birthplace)
GND gives apparent fullname Maria Magdalena Tatar (no birthplace)
BNF, the French national library, gives DoB and PoB 1945-05-13, Pressath (Allemagne) (Germany), fullname Tatar, Maria Magdalene, and naturalized 1956

Our source for birthplace Hungary states only that her family moved to the US from Hungary in the 1950s.

I added all of the BNF data to the article and rewrote her as born in Germany, later emigrated from Hungary. --P64 (talk) 20:31, 11 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
