The name is definitely "DuCôté", but in the press one should look for Ducote. Cake (talk) 09:17, 25 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again, MisterCake! I thought I'd take a quick run at this after working on John Heisman. I think I got it in one pass. Just two notes this time:

  • I guess it's safe to say that Ducote (no accents, lowercase c) is his common name, and there's no need to put the name with accents throughout.
  • I was having a little trouble with Auburn's only points came when Ducote circled around end for 17 yards and lateraled to William Donahue. I've linked "lateraled" to lateral pass but I'm not too sure about "circled around end". (Sorry, I didn't look at the source, it was a bit big for me.)

Keep up the good work! - Reidgreg (talk) 20:17, 18 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. Linked end run. Been unsure how to type a long o in the pronunciation guide-thing. Duh-coat-ee? Duh-ko-tee? Cake (talk) 02:36, 19 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome, and thanks for end run. Sorry, I didn't even look at the respell. I usually just use IPAc, but I should learn to use both. I believe for the respell template, you get the same vowel from goat as from code (the matching IPAc symbol is right beside it on the chart at Help:Pronunciation respelling key). So on respell that'd be "KOH" instead of "KO". I've made the change. - Reidgreg (talk) 12:23, 19 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Suppose I feared koh would be pronounced like kah or possibly cough. Ducote has several family members still around from southern colleges and the military. Also a few wrestlers. Got to e-mail a man training in Gabon and entertain him for a second on how his ancestor could play just about any football position. Cake (talk) 13:13, 19 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
