Good thing I googled before I started Okanagan Mission, which is the well-known historical name of this mission was; the Okanagan Mission link I'll leave un-redirected as that's the target of the proposed move/rename. Apparently the organization managing the site and its relics uses Father Pandosy Mission, perhaps to distinguish from Okanagan Mission as a neighbourhood of modern Kelowna, and formerly as its own small town around the site of the mission, somewhat distinct from Kelowna proper; now a blip in in the urban landscape. The mission is extremely historically important in various ways so I gave it a "mid" rating in the Canada/BC wikiproject. NB Okanagan Mission, British Columbia should be for the Kelowna neighbourhood, maybe, as it was historically distinct as a community; or it could be Okanagan Mission, Kelowna as a city neighbourhood, though that looks odd (to me anyway).Skookum1 (talk) 05:11, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Comment I gather the context of the title is the "Father Pandosy Mission Museum"....and side-comment that I'm sure the good father wouldn't have presumed to name it after himself; in fact it had a saint-name dedication if I'm not mistaken, which is its proper, though not most well-knokwn name. Its organizationsl name today is relatively new and not yet widespread (so far as I know)..Skookum1 (talk) 05:12, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
