Calling London

[edit]

I don't recall his 450 splash ever being called "Calling London". I always heard them just refer to it as a 450 splash. TJ Spyke 21:57, 27 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't remember them ever using this name either. In fact, someone removed the name "Cosmic Cyclone," which I actually thought I remembered Josh Matthews using on an edition of Velocity when London was going through that "grey fur coat and stomping" period. WikiFew 16:42, 24 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It used to be called that on his ObsessedWithWrestling.com profile, that is where everyone is getting it from. I don't remember it ever being called that either. I'm taking it out, seeing as the only verifiable source I have heard of for it no longer calles it that. The Hybrid 05:48, 25 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I reverted your edit as you this discussion is about the 450 splash and you removed info from the shooting star press --- Paulley
OOOPS, good catch ;) Sorry about that, I'll take care of the right one now. The Hybrid 04:19, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

SSP Name

[edit]

In ROH, London's top rope SSP was clearly called the London Star Press, so please stop removing that information. If you don't believe me, go look up London vs Danielson 2 out of 3 Falls or London vs Styles at Night of the Grudges; in both of those matches, the announcers clearly refer to it as the London Star Press.WikiFew 05:28, 25 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You are absolutely right. The article says London Calling for the top rope version and London Star Press for the standing one, but that's not quite right, is it?83.233.58.55 19:05, 15 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Paul London's name

[edit]

I don't know how reliable of a source on tv.com is for biographies, as looks like biographies can be edited users with Level 2 registered on Tv.com

Registered users on imdb.com can not freely edit instead reports are sent to database managers.

List name as Paul Sanchez Garcia London, the Talent Agency having a business relationship with the actor appears to be a stronger source. ▪◦▪=Sirex98= 23:55, 15 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Note on Acclaim Talent

[edit]

As of 2/12/08, the link to his profile there no longer exists. Upon double checking, he is no longer listed at the Acclaim Talent website on either the general talent, commercial/editorial models or the Hispanic models pages. It is likely that the company either dropped him or he did not re-sign with them. Thewrestlingbabe1 (talk) 01:09, 14 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Crappy Photos

[edit]

I just noticed recently that a lot of pro wrestlers are getting crappy new photos on their Wikipedia articles. They all look like they were taken candidly by a cell phone and are just crappy. Why is that? Do we suddenly not have the rights to use their nice photoshoot images taken by WWE? This one and Brian Kendrick's are probably the worse I've seen so far, but then there's also Chris Benoit, Steve Austin, and others. Cale 06:06, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

They are free use, and are favored over the fair-use WWE pictures. All the WWE Pictures are getting deleted as we speak. --  Mikedk9109  (hit me up)  18:57, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
We are all pained by the crappyness of the photos, but by law we must use these over the WWE ones. -- THLRCCD 19:00, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
They are not even that bad, and your telling the creator (me), that I have crappy photography skills? --  Mikedk9109  (hit me up)  19:09, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It was more of a generalization; not a comment about this particular photo. Sorry if I offended you. -- THLRCCD 19:14, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Wait, you've met Paul London? -- THLRCCD 19:17, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I have. --  Mikedk9109  (hit me up)  19:21, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Cool. I would ask questions, but since I'm the one always complaining about these pages being used as a forum... -- THLRCCD 19:23, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
There's nothing wrong with your photohraphy skills, but a picture with a more neutral look would be better. I bet many casual WWE fans wouldn't even recognize London from that picture.83.233.58.55 19:03, 15 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

London's Ancestry

First WWE TV Aperreance

IMDb is not a reputable source. NiciVampireHeart (talk) 04:37, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It is correct. Paul London was the fan that Ric Flair punched in the face. It is a widely known fact in the wrestling world. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.192.33.230 (talk) 15:13, 5 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dating Ashley

[edit]

I added in a reference for it; however, I was unable to post the link to ashley's actual myspace blog because it is blacklisted. However, in the reference I posted there is a link to the blog, so there shouldn't be any problems with the reference. NiciVampireHeart (talk) 04:37, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

On Ashley's MySpace page updated on 2/14/08, all references to London had been removed and she had posted a blog concerning spending Valentine's Day alone. She is also listed once again as single. I also conferred with a source close to him that has confirmed they are no longer a couple. Active Roster

[edit]

Why isn't he on the active roster? Vermon CaTaffy 8 (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 21:02, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He was injured. As it said in the article - he had a foot injury. Sorry, I know this reply was a bit late. ♥NiciVampireHeart23:43, 5 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He was on Raw on 2/4 when it was in Austin, but didn't do much during the match. His foot is still not 100 percent healed and he hasn't done any other shows since. Thewrestlingbabe1 (talk) 01:04, 14 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

GA Review

[edit]

This review is transcluded from Talk:Paul London/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the review.

  • Just glancing at the lead, it feels far too short. That said, taking a closer glance I can't think of much to add. Perhaps a mention of personal life?
  • "He made his debut in the independent circuit on 7 April 2000, competing in promotions throughout Texas." - his debut involved him competing in multiple promotions on the one day? Reword, I think.
  • "London made his debut in Ring of Honor (ROH)" - he went from studying at Texas Uni to appearing on ROH? There must be something in between (how'd they choose him (or however it works))?
  • which led to both London and Shane brawling" - brawling implies them fighting against each other? If so remove the "both". If not, then I have no idea what it's saying...
  • "London competed in ZERO1 for several months, beginning in January 2003, before turning down a contract." - a bit confusing; wouldn't he have needed a contract to compete in the first place?
    • In the universe of pro wrestling, wrestlers can compete for promotions in dark matches (or try-outs) without contracts. I read the source, it stated that Zero-one is a japan promotion, and japanese promotions call wrestlers from North America to wrestle for their promotion without a contract, so when he wrestled a couple of shows, they were impressed and offered him a contract, which he turned down.--SRX--LatinoHeat 18:34, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Well, the reference is used to say that he worked at Urban Outfitters and that his brother is a music video director. Could we leave that info out? I can replace the brother one with this if it's considered reliable. Also, on a side note, is this reliable? It mentions how he began working for TNA in it. ♥NiciVampireHeart15:16, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That's about it - please leave me a talk page note when done. Cheers, —Giggy 08:19, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Paul London

[edit]

Londons recent fued against Lance Cade and Chris Jericho is relivant and is Pauls biggest fued in a LONG time. Please add that to his profile. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 222.153.175.137 (talk) 03:57, 10 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have added sorry for taking so long to do it.Mvpisthebest (talk) 18:17, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Current injury....

[edit]

Paul London has been off of TV due to an injury at a house show match against Lance Cade. Its the same match that Cade broke his nose in, and that was acknowledged on TV. London on the other hand, was bleeding from the mouth, nose and ears. Why isn't this mentioned in the article. as it sounds like a pretty serious injury.75.45.193.234 (talk) 22:01, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Because you havem't provided a reliable source to back up that information. ♥NiciVampireHeart17:20, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

London to TNA

[edit]

[1] It is possible that Paul London will appear in TNA 76.16.93.27 (talk) 23:44, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's just speculation at this point. Just because they're interested in him, doesn't mean he'll appear. ♥NiciVampireHeart16:22, 18 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
