Please fellow users (some most definitely "users"), player was on loan until 5 February 2014, only signed permanently from Atlético Madrid in that day. Thus, that is what the box should reflect, one on-loan Olympiacos spell followed by a permanent Olympiacos spell. Thank you --AL (talk) 19:26, 6 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move 1 June 2019

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: no consensus. Editors are split between using the footballer's common name (Roberto) in parenthetical disambiguation and using his full name as natural disambiguation. There is no consensus on whether the mononym is sufficient to distinguish the footballer from other footballers with the surname Roberto. Roberto Jiménez GagoRoberto (footballer, born 1986) – Commonly known as "Roberto". Redirect for Roberto (footballer) exists to another footballer commonly known as "Roberto". – By reviewing the previous RM, the Spanish footballer per majority of sources used either uses just Roberto or Roberto Jiménez (never uses the Gago surname). It is not common usage for Gago to be used and in English football, other Spanish footballers are known by having two names - the forename and the paternal family name. Since there's already another Roberto Jiménez, dab would be necessary if there is move consensus. And speaking of sources, another page, Matthew Longstaff, is not currently WP:COMMONNAME per BBC and club websites as Oliver McBurnie was moved yesterday. • Support, per nom. Frankly, this should be done to countless similar Spanish footballers. Generally, they go by one last name unless they have an extremely common first name.--Ortizesp (talk) 00:23, 4 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
