Make my day
[edit]"She has written a frankly bemusing series of radio programmes"..

- What about these programmes makes them "Franky bemusing"? TheRetroGuy (talk) 14:17, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
This made me laugh. Thanks, whoever did the edit. Noisms (talk) 11:33, 17 April 2010 (UTC)
- Amusement aside, this is a “frankly bemusing” comment for an encyclopædia, as it appears to be P.O.V. - it definitely needs to be clarified if it can be explained in the article; if not, surely it should be deleted? I hesitate to do so, as there may be something which justifies it (never myself having heard them). Jock123 (talk) 07:23, 3 June 2010 (UTC)
Plagiarised by the Daily Mail
[edit]Is it insulting or is it flattery?
My contribution on 16th May 2010 was copied almost word for word by the next day's Daily Mail!
Wikipedia article edited on 16th May 2010 at 0925/0832 hrs BST:
[edit]'On 16th May 2010 she stood in briefly for Andrew Marr, for the Sunday newspaper review, when he was late in arriving to present the Andrew Marr Show.
This led to a slightly awkward scene when he turned up halfway through and there was a confusion as to who was fronting the show.'
The next day's Daily Mail:
[edit]'She was standing in briefly for Andrew Marr, for the Sunday newspaper review, when he was late in arriving to present his show.
This led to a slightly awkward scene when he turned up halfway through and there was a confusion as to who was fronting the programme'[1].
Future editors beware.... Daily Mail reporters in the area, looking for free news!

Susanna picture
[edit]Hello, I was wondering why there is no photograph image of Susanna Reid on her wiki page? Other notable newsreaders, like Fiona Bruce, have images so it seems fair Reid should have one. If needed I can find a relatively recent one that isn't a fake! Nesta8 (talk) 16:13, 12 November 2012 (UTC)
- That's fine, but you may want to familiarise yourself with the image use policy before you upload one. Paul MacDermott (talk) 16:40, 12 November 2012 (UTC)
Was she playing down her looks?
[edit]- Replying to Nesta8 regarding Susanna Reid posted on my Talk page earlier today
Hi-- a small thing about recent Susanna Reid edit; it does say she played down her looks in the referenced article, here is the quote; "Playing down her looks, she laughs and replies: “I can’t believe there haven’t been lots of fabulous women living in Croydon between me and Kate.”
Best wishes — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nesta8 (talk • contribs) 15:26, 16 February 2013 (UTC)
- Sure, Nesta8. That is exactly what I read and interpreted. My point is that it is the opinion of the interviewer and not what Susanna Reid said. Do you see what I am getting at? –

Inappropriate sexual content
[edit]I've removed a lot of the trivial tabloid smut about her in the article. I don't think her "flirtations" or her showing her knickers are relevant to an encyclopedia article and I think it degrades the article in quality. It's pure media speculation, and as far as I can see she has a certain style and is like that with most people anyway. Nesta 8 seems obsessed with speaking about her as some sort of sex object rather than a journalist. Keep your fantasies off wikipedia please..
-- agree fantasies have no place in this encyclopedia. But, she is a notorious "flasher" and surely this has an impact on when she is hired and why. Is it worth noting?
Please dont say "well she was unlucky". She flashes repeatedly. Some other presenters do as well, and some don't, it is obviously part of her professional "style".
The Mail (among other tabloids) reports that according to The Sun she will host a relaunched version of Daybreak, which is being renamed Good Morning Britain!. I've removed the claim from here though, because a) it was added without sources, and b) it would better to wait till ITV officially confirms what's happening. Paul MacDermott (talk) 12:47, 1 March 2014 (UTC)
- Rumours persist about a move to ITV, but Googling the topic produces no confirmation of this yet. I'm sure if people wait for a while, something reliable will turn up to confirm whether or not it's happening. Paul MacDermott (talk) 17:23, 2 March 2014 (UTC)

[edit]This image has been added to the article a couple of times by the Wikipedia user who drew it, User:Роман Сергеевич Сидоров, and a couple more times by an IP user. I don't see a need for the drawing when the page already has a clear photograph of the subject, though. Should the article include it? Belbury (talk) 09:21, 18 September 2024 (UTC)
