The specifications cited are completely infeasible. The indicated HP and TQ for the GSX-R 1100 version of the vehicle are several times more per liter than even the best tuned Formula One engines. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.127.175.4 (talk) 02:56, 14 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

They are not infeasible for a 1100 superbike engine. Last GSX-R 1000 engines have ever greater HP. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suzuki_GSX-R1000#Specifications JuanR (talk) 14:34, 29 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Motorweek had more details on it. It cost something like $58,000. here is the online link: http://www.motorweek.org/reviews/two_wheelin/campagna_t_rex_14r — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.22.110.139 (talk) 17:30, 18 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

What is the point of this between the last two model specifications - "cost to buy is 230,530"? 204.17.31.126 (talk) 16:13, 9 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It's a good idea to read some or all of the following:

Picture in Wikimedia

[edit]

The two first pictures in wikimedia are not Campagna T-REX. They are modified T-REX by the firm Aero 3S. I don't think they should be there.[1]Jsgou2 (talk) 15:14, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If they are modified/customised t-rex then they do belong in the t-rex category. You should however tweak the image descriptions so it is clear that they are not stock vehicles. --Biker Biker (talk) 15:21, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much. I think I did the modification right? (I'm still learning the do's and dont's) But when accessing to the Wikimedia it still only states that it is a T-REX. Is it possible to tweak that?Jsgou2 (talk) 15:29, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, that's perfect. --Biker Biker (talk) 15:31, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You could put the two images into a sub-category like "Modified Campagna T-Rex" and make that category a member of the main T-Rex category. However, for just two vehicles I think it is overkill. It is good enough that the descriptions say they are modified. --Biker Biker (talk) 15:34, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It would be the best idea I thinkJsgou2 (talk) 15:55, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Well I have here many interesting modification did to T-REX by clients, that would populate that folder? Also, the T-REX is supposed to be all caps, is there a way to modify that? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jsgou2 (talkcontribs) 15:52, 18 October 2011 (UTC) Jsgou2 (talk) 15:54, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
No, see Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Trademarks. Except where absolutely necessary for clarity, Wikipedia changes trademark capitalization to match Wikipedia's house style. By all means, upload more images to Commons -- as long as you have the rights to license them as CC-BY-SA or public domain. I found four freely licensed photos on Flickr we could upload, but I can't tell by looking which ones are stock or custom.[23][24][25][26] --Dennis Bratland (talk) 18:54, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much for your time, I'm starting to get the hang of it. From the picture you found on Flicker, #1 and #4 are actually an older model (2005-2006) which was running on a 1200cc motor and actually has a sound system and a full windshield. And, Campagna Motors don't offer these options. #2 is a 2006 with a canadian front end, the fender have been removed in order to fit custom wheels and there is a windshield. #3 is a 2007 totally stock. Therefore, #1,2,4 might be considered as customised. The Aero 3S is a much more drastic modification I can say. I am searching for some more pictures. Jsgou2 (talk) 19:26, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
http://www.flickr.com/photos/4elevenpix/5572180843/in/photostream/ There is also the V13R (new since spring 2011) which is a different model made by Campagna Motors, and in the past there has been the VT-Rod that was the concept of the V13R http://www.flickr.com/photos/jalopnik/287967415/ and the TR Thunder which was a limited edition in 2003 (7 were made) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jsgou2 (talkcontribs) 20:16, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Can't use those though. They have "all rights reserved" and "non-commercial use only", and "no derivative works". We can only use the "attribution" and "share alike" restrictions. --Dennis Bratland (talk) 21:48, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Can we use these? http://campagnamotors.com/media/15793/4.jpg and http://campagnamotors.com/media/15790/v13r-main-picture_web1.jpg? They are presently owned by Campagna Motors but we would allow them for the use on Wikipedia. I am not really good with all the licencing and media posting yet on Wikipedia. Thank you for your help. Jsgou2 (talk) 14:44, 21 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. Short version - you can donate the photographs if you give irrevocable permission for the photographs to be used for any purpose - including commercial use. If that's OK then upload to WIkimedia Commons together with the appropriate confirmation of permission using the OTRS system. --Biker Biker (talk) 14:48, 21 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I think I succeeded? http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Campagna_Motors_TR_Thunder.jpg and http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Campagna_Motors_V13R.jpg. I think they would deserve to be talked of in a different section. What do you think?Jsgou2 (talk) 19:01, 21 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

V13R (new model by Campagna Motors)

[edit]

There is a new model made by that came out, during spring 2011, the V13R which is somewhat similar since it has 3 wheels as well but a Harley Davidson engine instead of the Kawasaki engine and there is no top. [1] Would it be a good idea to create either a new section? Or a new page? [2] Jsgou2 (talk) 15:57, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

http://www.flickr.com/photos/4elevenpix/5572180843/in/photostream/ it would be a nice picture to add? Jsgou2 (talk) 20:08, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Beware that spring 2011 in the Northern hemisphere is autumn 2011 in the southern hemisphere. Better to say a particular month or at least second quarter. Cheers.  Stepho  talk  21:52, 19 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Oops thank you, it was actually soft launched during the first quarter of 2011. Jsgou2 (talk) 14:35, 21 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
http://campagnamotors.com/media/15790/v13r-main-picture_web1.jpg would you think it would need a new section?Jsgou2 (talk) 14:35, 21 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No. Wikipedia is not a reliable source. See WP:CIRCULAR. What we can do is ask if the Wikipedia article provinces any citations (in this case the answer is no) and then follow those citations ourselves and use them as sources for this article. This is a good example of why an uncited article is worse than useless, and it's generally a good idea to delete uncited content on sight. --Dennis Bratland (talk) 18:46, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, can I be citing theses sources as a source for the specs?

Evolution and Updates

[edit]

Since the first ever concept of the T-REX, there has been numerous updates and upgrades to either to the design, motorisation, and the parts. I think it would be relevant to show the evolution and the change over time of this vehicle. Jsgou2 (talk) 19:44, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Appearances Citation

[edit]

Hi, I have the citation for the different appearances
Rob Dyrdek Fantasy Factory : http://www.mtv.com/shows/fantasy_factory/season_1/episode.jhtml?episodeID=150162
Criss Angels Mind Freak: http://www.aetv.com/criss-angel-mindfreak/season-6/grand-canyon-death-jump/

CSI:NY with Danica Patrick: http://www.cbs.com/shows/csi_ny/episodes/40208 (she is doing a photo shoot with the T-REX during the show, but I don't know if I can refer to copyrighted youtube videos...)
Jsgou2 (talk) 19:52, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If these are just examples of product placement, there's no need to mention them. More or less following the guidelines in WP:WPACT, we need more reason why a particular appearance mattered. Did it (veritably) affect the design, sales, or other tangible aspect of the vehicle? If notable critics or commenters said that the pretense of a particular model on a show was important in some way to that show, then it could be mentioned on the Wikipedia page for that program. --Dennis Bratland (talk) 15:27, 19 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The appearances in Rod Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory and on Criss Angel's Mind Freak are the top 2 appearances that actually increased the sales and awareness of the vehicle after their representation. And I was also just completing the "citation needed" part in what is already there. Jsgou2 (talk) 14:24, 21 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
How do I verify that sales were affected? --Dennis Bratland (talk) 15:58, 21 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Article restoration
