Thikriwala is a village in Kapurthala district of Punjab State, India. It is located 9 kilometres (5.6 mi) from Kapurthala, which is both district and sub-district headquarters of Thikriwala. The village is administrated by a sarpanch, an elected representative of the village.[2]

Demography

According to the report published by Census India in 2011, Thikriwala has 76 houses with the total population of 401 persons of which 216 are male and 185 females. Literacy rate of Thikriwala is 77.84%, higher than the state average of 75.84%. The population of children in the age group 0–6 years is 31 which is 7.73% of the total population. Child sex ratio is approximately 550, lower than the state average of 846.[3]
