New exclusive movie production deals with Greg Berlanti, one of Hollywood’s most prolific and successful producers, and Reese Witherspoon, Academy Award® and Emmy Award®-winning actress and producer; Berlanti will produce an initial four movies focused in the young adult space, while Witherspoon's Hello Sunshine will produce at least two films^[1] WarnerMedia Entertainment indicated that the service would have 10,000 hours of content.^[2]

AT&T chairman and CEO, Randall L. Stephenson has not ruled out adding live content from Turner Sports in the future (such as the NBA on TNT, Major League Baseball on TBS, and NCAA March Madness).^[3]

On August 1, 2019, WarnerMedia announced its long-term deal with BBC Studios after HBO Max acquired the exclusive streaming rights to all 11 seasons of the revival Doctor Who, Luther, The Honourable Woman, Top Gear, and the British version of The Office. HBO Max will also stream the future seasons of Doctor Who after their initial run on BBC America.^[4]

On August 12, 2019, HBO Max is currently in conversations to secure the streaming rights to the All Seasons Of CBS sitcoms The Big Bang Theory and Two and a Half Men. The rights to The Big Bang Theory alone—which has thus far never appeared on any streaming service—were expected to fetch $1 billion, but Deadline notes that the deal for both of these CBS shows could reach as much as $1.5 billion..
