Katie Hill is an American nonprofit director, political activist, and Democratic candidate running to represent California's 25th congressional district in the United States House of Representatives in the 2018 election.[1]

Education and early career[edit]

Katie Hill was born and raised in the 25th District, partly in Santa Clarita and partly in the Antelope Valley. She completed her education at California State University, Northridge, with a B.A. in English and a Masters in Public Administration. She spent many years as the executive director of People Assisting the Homeless, a nonprofit that is the largest operator of homes for the homeless in California.[2]

In this capacity, she has claimed a role in crafting two Los Angeles County measures to assist the homeless: Measure HHH, which passed in November 2016,[3] and Measure H, which passed in March 2017.[4]
