AREA21 image

Hello, i want to ask will be on the page AREA21 some picture? I would be glad if did. I know its hard with copyrights. But is there any chance? If yes i want really upload it on Czech wikipedia :) Thanks bye.

@Fajsik: Heya! I too would love a picture for AREA21, but with the copyright policies we'll need someone to snap a photo in an AREA21 performance to have it uploaded here. Until that happens, I'm afraid that the profile will have to remain pic-free. We just have to be patient and wait for now! aNode (discuss) 10:45, 29 March 2018 (UTC)

About the death of Avicii

He actually cutted himself with a broken cup StudySandra (talk) 09:22, 13 May 2018 (UTC)

@StudySandra: Reports here said it was a broken wine bottle that caused it. https://consequenceofsound.net/2018/05/avicii-killed-himself-with-a-broken-wine-glass-report/ But if you do find a reliable source to back your claim up, feel free to edit the Avicii page! Being a new user (welcome btw!), you must remember to comply with Wikipedia WP:V policies. So even if what you think you're saying is true, a reliable source (Billboard, Rolling Stone, all those big websites) must be provided as a reference to back up what you say, or else other experienced users will most likely revert your additions. If you need any advice feel free to ask! aNode (discuss) 09:43, 13 May 2018 (UTC)

Permission from Reddit

Hello. I'm afraid the permission you got from Reddit is insufficient, because it only grants us the ability to use the image on Wikipedia. However, we have many projects and a free license which allows anyone to use our content downstream.

Could you please ask the user to choose a free license? Reddit users are by and large savvy, so s/he will probably understand the request.

You can see a boilerplate that we have here: c:COM:ET. Thanks. Magog the Ogre (tc) 23:20, 22 May 2018 (UTC)

Alright, I'll get straight to it! Will update you when I receive the new permissions. aNode (discuss) 05:07, 23 May 2018 (UTC)

Article Improvent Help : Maurice West

Hello, Sir. Currently I'm working on an article about Maurice West . I'm very new to wikipedia, which became a problem to improving this artice. Hope, you'll look up this article & improve if possibe. TIA — Preceding unsigned comment added by SazidKabir (talkcontribs) 07:25, 21 June 2018 (UTC)

@SazidKabir: Yeahhh, man! I'll be happy to help out, maybe I'll fill in his discography releases in the draft section soon. I was also new back then, but I learnt a lot by observing what other users did and comparing my edits with other accepted ones in those big pages, so perhaps you can do the same ;) aNode (discuss) 08:15, 21 June 2018 (UTC)

Just as a note

When a page needs to get moved from one place to another, it's really not a good idea to just copy/paste it, as you did with Nova (RL Grime album) and its draft version. If the page cannot be moved for technical reasons, either use {{db-move}} or request it at WP:RM/TR. Cheers, and good job on the new article! Primefac (talk) 19:41, 11 August 2018 (UTC) (please ping on reply)

ANode and @MicroPowerpoint: I just wanted to ask, what did you say at Draft talk:Nova (RL Grime album) (before it was deleted) under the contested deletion? I didn't get a chance to see it before it was deleted. Ss112 01:45, 12 August 2018 (UTC)
I didn't understand what you said in the first place as it didn't make sense why you wanted it to not be deleted. Micro (Talk) 02:04, 12 August 2018 (UTC)
@MicroPowerpoint: I knew the page was going to be deleted eventually, I just wanted the histmerge to happen as well because both you and ANode edited it and ANode attempted to move the content to the mainspace before the draft was approved. Apparently cut-and-paste moves are not important to preserve in the page history, though, so...don't really know why I bothered because now I'm being slandered because of it. Ss112 02:27, 12 August 2018 (UTC)
The redirect's history was trivial and unimportant, a histmerge was not needed. ANode's copy and paste edit was reverted so a proper move could be done. You were being "slandered" because the only reason why you would want the histmerge is for it to appear as if the page was created by you, as said by Z0. Micro (Talk) 02:32, 12 August 2018 (UTC)
@MicroPowerpoint: I don't even know who you are and nor do you know me, so for you to speculate on my motives is rather unjustified and out of nowhere. Do you make it a habit to go around and insinuate you think you know why somebody did something? Also, the redirect was created by me. It might have been overwritten by a move, but the fact I did is still there—just hidden from public view because the draft was deleted by an admin. Only a newbie believes it would appear all that is on a page was "made" by the user whose name is first. Are you a newbie? Either way, sure, you can believe an editor who's subject to editing restrictions from moving music-related pages over me if you wish. Ss112 02:40, 12 August 2018 (UTC)
That was a lot to take in, what an escalation of defensive behaviour. I'm just repeating what Z0 said. Go talk to him, again, if you want to resolve this. Micro (Talk) 02:50, 12 August 2018 (UTC)
@MicroPowerpoint: You probably shouldn't parrot what other users say then, lest it be misattributed as your opinion. From your comments here and elsewhere, it would appear you are very against apparent misattribution. As for being defensive, I'd really like to see what you'd say if somebody came around and started saying negative things about you without knowing you. Ss112 02:54, 12 August 2018 (UTC)
Ok, ima just leave now, this seems to be getting out of hand and like its just gonna escalate. Micro (Talk) 03:01, 12 August 2018 (UTC)
Yes, do cease the bickering on my talk page, and discuss on the RL Grime talk page instead. This is leading nowhere, and my points are explained validly. aNode (discuss) 03:03, 12 August 2018 (UTC)
@Primefac: Yeahhh, that was definitely my mistake. When I did request for a move at the technical moves area, the editor pasted an AFC template at the draft which would have taken (2 months? for a quick approval), so I tried my luck with a C&P which didn't work out. Will let it run its full procedure and won't repeat this next time!
@Ss112: There were 4 main topics, first was a general link dump for the references, second was me stating how edit conflicts made me and Micro lose what we wrote, so we decided to use the in use template, third was Micro posting an Endgame thread and asking if anything else needs to be settled before publishing, and last is my '99% ready' post which asks for a personnel section in the future, and thanking Micro for a good job for his work in the article. You should have requested me to backup the code at the talk page for you to see, I would have done it! aNode (discuss) 02:33, 12 August 2018 (UTC)
For what it's worth, going through the AFC/draft process isn't required, especially if you're confident that you have a decent article. The RM/TR post was appropriate since there was content in both locations and a page swap and/or G6 were necessary. Oh well, live and learn! Primefac (talk) 05:05, 12 August 2018 (UTC)

Hardwell*

Check spotify for the credits as Magnomite. ITunes won't give a credit page for it neither would ASCAP. ~denzeditor

@Denzeditor: Yeah, I can check and verify it by myself, but that would count as original research wouldn't it? I'll need a more reliable source to verify the alias, and "EDMReviwer" is a blog thus it isn't reliable. (I'm considering to tag the ref for reliability on the Hardwell page). But looking at your edit summary about comparing Allure to Tiesto, we are talking about Hardwell's page, not Tiesto. Other things exist isn't a way to say something should happen on Wiki just because it's present on another page. Plus, Tiesto made one whole album under Allure here, and that would count as a previously active alias. Hardwell just made one track under Magnomite, and there's no promise that he will create more. I'll remove the alias until it becomes notable (means more releases by Magnomite). aNode (discuss) 04:48, 14 August 2018 (UTC)

I can compare Tiesto if I want too, second, if he wasn't going to create anymore under "Magnomite" he wouldn't make a facebook account for it, if he was really going to release one song. Check the spotify credits again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Denzeditor (talkcontribs) 20:46, 15 August 2018 (UTC)

@Denzeditor: Yea, go ahead and compare by yourself it you wanna, but since using it as a valid excuse to prove your point is against Wikipedia policy it won't get you very far. I can't read Hardwell's mind, but whatever it is, I'll wait for more releases under Magnomite before stating that it's not a one-time thing. aNode (discuss) 03:21, 16 August 2018 (UTC)

go ahead and wait until he releases more tracks under Magnomite. I'm not trying to break any rules of wikipedia. i'm showing you my point. I have my freedom to do that and I will keep doing it. till further notice I won't change the alias. You'll see he's magnomite lad. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Denzeditor (talkcontribs) 15:57, 16 August 2018 (UTC)

Rollback granted

Hi ANode. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Swarm 08:32, 27 August 2018 (UTC)

Revision needs accepting

Please accept the latest revision to How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World. The main release is February 22, 2019, not the Netherlands release--Sarcathmo17 (talk) 18:26, 28 September 2018 (UTC)

@Sarcathmo17: Ahhhh, my bad. Your edits were in good faith, but removal of a reference which states a fact (Netherlands release on 23rd) wasn't really the correct choice, thus my reverts. Regardless, the US release date should be prioritised, and the lead in the page currently states as so! If there are any new revision acceptions you need just tell me here and I'll take a look at it. aNode (discuss) 02:41, 29 September 2018 (UTC)

Julia Roberts

Hey, hope you're having a good saturday!.. I removed the film Money Monster, because it isn't among her most successful ones. At US$93 million worldwide, it was indeed a success but it does not even compare to the domestic grosses of Eat Prey Love and Wonder, which are the last two mentioned there. As for the info, I was expecting to find more about her career trajectory and films in the whole 'career' section, but I saw it lacks a lot - given her position as a public figure and compared to the articles of similar actresses such as Catherine Zeta-Jones and Nicole Kidman. Yes, I can find much of the info in the movies' own pages, but I think this article, in particular, is lacking a lot of sustance regarding her performances and her films' insights... I could edit and add the info, but as I expressed previously, another user will probably revert my edit. I would appreciate if you could improve those things in the article... Greets! 190.249.179.87 (talk) 17:44, 29 September 2018 (UTC)

Stylicisation

Hey aNode, I saw you mentioning the term "Stylicisation" several times and I wasn't sure if it was correct or not, so I searched it on Google and it only returned results about your move requests. I think you may be referring to "Stylism" or "Stylisation" ("-zation" in US English). Sorry if this is rude, just trying to help! Lazz_R 20:44, 9 October 2018 (UTC)

@Lazz R: Omg my bad, I was referring to the latter all this time. I think I started writing stylisation and it eventually evolved to "stylicisation". Thanks for the heads up, I'll correct my spelling errors soon!

Discography question

Hello there, Peace here! I have a question about discographies, just to make sure. @JalenFolf: Ahh, my bad for not identifying Altpress as a reliable site. Was thinking it was a music blog at first thus the removal. As for iTunes as a reliable source, it works as a temporary source based on WP:AFFILIATE, until a more reliable secondary source is available. aNode (discuss) 18:18, 18 April 2019 (UTC)

Make sure you had check these suggestion. If you don't agree with, please talk with me. If you think that you can help to add more citations, you should do it. Otherwise, please rollback your editing by yourself to avoid letting other people think this article is currently sufficient to be called a good article.--JuneAugust (talk) 03:48, 27 July 2019 (UTC)

@JuneAugust: Well, you should have mentioned it in the edit summary that you have added issues about the article on its talk page. Instead of putting a template which would suggest that the whole page is mostly uncited, you could have individually put a [citation needed] tag on each problematic sentence or paragraph. I'll take a look at the problems you've brought up. aNode (discuss) 04:01, 27 July 2019 (UTC)

Redux 003

Do you have any thoughts on how we should recategorise Redux 003 considering it's not an EP being 18 tracks long and not referred to as such on iTunes ([2]) and other EDM news sites? It looks like Kaskade's SoundCloud refers to it as "Redux 003 EP" but I'm not sure if it was originally an EP and expanded by him or what the go is. However, I would say as it currently stands it doesn't look like an EP. Ss112 01:43, 9 August 2019 (UTC)

@Ss112: Hmmm, I say we follow what the majority of sources say, with Your EDM and Earmilk calling it an album, and We Rave You, EDM Tunes and EDM Identity calling it an EP. Kaskade labelled his own album as an EP too on his Youtube channel.
Personally, this compilation doesn't look like an EP imo, since it really has that many tracks. Wiki itself states that an EP has a max of 6 tracks, usually. But in this case, I'll lean more towards it being an EP as labelled by Kaskade and the slight majority of sources calling it so. I'll leave the final judgement to you, aite! aNode (discuss) 03:21, 9 August 2019 (UTC)

Featured article nomination for "Saving Light"

Howdy, I'm messaging you to see if you would be able to review Saving Light in it's featured article nomination. The nomination only has one review, and that was pretty helpful, though I need more people to vote on it so it has a consensus so it can pass/fail. If you are able to/have the time to, I'd like you to review the article and give feedback/criticism of the article on it's FAN page. If you do not have the time, or simply don't want to review the article, that's fine. If you do though, please remain unbiased. Many Thanks. Micro (Talk) 11:25, 13 November 2019 (UTC)

@MicroPowerpoint: Hey man, thanks for the ping. Unfortunately I'm pretty pre-occupied with exams right now, and won't be very active on Wiki so I can't really help you with the review, sorry. Good luck on getting it reviewed though, so far the article looks well written! aNode (discuss) 16:43, 13 November 2019 (UTC)

Peace Dove

Peace is a state of balance and understanding in yourself and between others, where respect is gained by the acceptance of differences, tolerance persists, conflicts are resolved through dialog, peoples rights are respected and their voices are heard, and everyone is at their highest point of serenity without social tension. Happy Holidays to you and yours. ―Buster7  14:48, 13 December 2019 (UTC)

Page Creation Request for Matt Lange

Hello Matt, I hope this finds you well! I came across you work via the Mat Zo page and wanted to reach out to see if you would be interested in creating a page for Artist/Producer/DJ - Matt Lange? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Youngmanchris (talkcontribs) 22:52, 21 January 2020 (UTC)

@Youngmanchris: Hi, thanks for messaging! I would love to start a page on Matt Lange, but I did an online search and I'm afraid that there aren't that many secondary sources from those reliable dance music websites, so there wouldn't be enough sources to start up a page like Mat Zo. But tell you what, if you can send me 15 separate sources about Matt Lange from the Reliable sources for electronic music referencing guide on my profile (Billboard, Dancing Astronaut, Your EDM, etc.), I will help you to start the page up. Good luck hunting! aNode (discuss) 16:51, 22 January 2020 (UTC)
@ANode: Yes, that sounds good! Below are just a few links from a quick search. Matt has an enormous amount of accomplishments beyond what is mentioned in the news articles below, and I am happy to help you compile the info to establish an adequate page for him.
@ANode: Here is a link to his website as well: www.mattlange.net/about
@Youngmanchris: Thanks for sharing the links! But I wanted to say that some are not reliable sources, so we cannot use them:

Could you help me find four more other links from maybe, Dancing Astronaut or Billboard instead? aNode (discuss) 04:54, 24 January 2020 (UTC)

@ANode: Sure not a problem at all, please see below.
@Youngmanchris: Hey man, your page is done! Check it out at Matt Lange. If you need any tips to make a page, just hit me up! aNode (discuss) 17:00, 29 January 2020 (UTC)
@ANode: You rock!! A couple of quick and minor questions
  • Could you add a picture of Matt to the infobox? Perhaps the picture from the below Billboard article?

https://www.billboard.com/articles/news/dance/8499118/matt-lange-space-between-deniz-reno

  • For associated acts, could you add please Above & Beyond, Deadmau5, Mat Zo, and The Crystal Method? Matt has collaborated with all of those artists.
  • Could you remove the picture of BT?

I think that's it for now, thanks!

Hmmmm, I’ll add a few of those associated acts later. An artist has to collaborate with another artist more than once to be counted as an AA. And for the pic, it has to be copyright free, so I’m unable to just add in pics from websites. They have to be published without copyrights on sites like Flickr instead. And for the picture of BT, I believe that it should be left there since his collaboration with BT formed a large part of his early career. Plus we’ll have less pictures on the page if we took it out. Edit: By the way, Lange did not release a single with any of those artists so they do not fit in AA. aNode (discuss) 06:41, 30 January 2020 (UTC)

Thank you for your updates to the Conro article, particularly the Discography section. I noticed there's a lot more missing singles and extended plays from the list though. Jalen Folf (talk) 04:13, 9 March 2020 (UTC)

Apple Music

Hi. The links you provided on Joel Corry explicitly refer to the website as Apple Music. It's no longer the iTunes Store, as that is being phased out and is really no longer a thing we can link to on the Internet, as all the sites refer to it as Apple Music, so please put this in references now when you link it. Thanks. Ss112 17:49, 24 March 2020 (UTC)

Want to help me with a new draft article?

I recently submitted an article for Brave, the debut album by Joyryde, as a draft. Feel free to contribute to the article in any helpful way. I'll be adding to the article throughout the next few days/weeks. If you are not able to, that's fine. Micro (Talk) 06:11, 3 April 2020 (UTC)

@MicroPowerpoint: Heyyy, thanks for the offer, but I’m afraid I’ll be quite busy for the next few weeks so I’m unable to fully commit to an article. I will keep an eye on it though, and maybe improve any sentence structures on it? What do you think of the album btw, I haven’t listened to it yet :)) aNode (discuss) 07:27, 3 April 2020 (UTC)

Contact Enquiry

Hey ANode, I am not sure if this is the place to ask this, but I was wondering where we could contact you for an artist page request. Thanks! The artist is Canadian bass duo "WE ARE FURY". They have a bunch of notable remixes, including two official ILLENIUM ones, as well as a debut LP and various singles. We have compiled a bunch of press from "reliable" wikipedia sources as well. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.49.164.229 (talk) 22:57, 21 November 2020 (UTC)
