Hello, Aarp65,
Don't worry, an empty category sits for 7 days after it is tagged for "speedy" deletion just in case it is only temporarily empty. There are editors who regularly patrol Category:Empty categories awaiting deletion and untag categories when they are no longer empty. And, even if a category that is tagged CSD C1 is deleted after 7 days of being empty, it can easily be restored upon request to the admin who deleted it or by going to WP:REFUND. Just remember, as the notice states above, Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself. Thank you! Liz Read! Talk! 20:09, 21 October 2022 (UTC)

Hello there,
I can tell you make a lot of good contributions but what is the story with your tagging names like John, Nicholas, Peter, Jimmy, Joel (surname), Billy and Mae (surname) with various categories of Oceanic origin? These names obviously have biblical and/or European origins. Your edit summaries imply there might have been a bot involved? In any case, it seems like these you are creating a lot of work for others. You have over 25 warnings and speedy deletion nominations in the past 2 months. What's going on, mate? Level 3 warnings

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Jimmy, you may be blocked from editing.

This also applies to changes you've made at Jimmy, David (surname), John (surname), Joseph (surname), Peter (surname), Philip, Mae, David (surname), Samuel (name), Capelle (disambiguation), William (disambiguation) and many other pages. Your reluctance to acknowledge the ANI discussion you were warned about two days ago has been noted by a consensus of editors. The idea of a [[WP:TBAN] on names and categories on your account has been suggested more than once. You appear to have many good edits on and knowledge about these subjects. It would be a shame to lose the productive portions of what you contribute to Wikipedia if you fail to participate in the discussion and get banned. Warm regards. Could you explain how a name like Nussenzweig originated in the United States, and what sources you're using to make that determination? I don't want to remove the category from those names if there's a good explanation, but checking a few of the names in that category, I don't see any explanation or sources showing that any of the names originated in the United States. - Aoidh (talk) 14:34, 12 November 2022 (UTC)

Notice that you are now subject to a topic ban

Hello Aarp65. This message is to let you know that the following sanction now applies to you:

You are indefinitely topic banned from the subject area of names, broadly construed.

This topic ban includes, but is not limited to, all name-related pages (articles, categories, templates, etc.) and has been imposed as a result of the community discussion at Special:Permalink/1121681977#Proposal: topic ban (user:Aarp65). It has been logged at Wikipedia:Editing restrictions. Please review the banning policy, especially the section on topic bans, to ensure that you understand what this means. If you do not comply with this sanction, you may be blocked for an extended period.

You may appeal this topic ban to the administrators' noticeboard, per Wikipedia:Banning policy#Review and reversal of bans. Please let me know if any of the above is unclear. DanCherek (talk) 15:47, 13 November 2022 (UTC)

Only warning: Topic ban violations

Immediately after the above topic ban was imposed, you have made two edits in violation of it: redirecting Artificial name to Surname, and this edit to Blumenfeld. This is an only warning: you need to stay away from any edits related to names or surnames as long as the topic ban is in effect. Further violations will result in a block.
