Draft:List of Telugu films of 2023
Is it viable to post this page since we already have 2 confirmed releases for 2023. SP013 (talk) 03:25, 1 March 2022 (UTC)
- SP013, just one film actually because RC15 hasn't announced officially yet. -- Ab207 (talk) 05:29, 1 March 2022 (UTC)

South Indian languages
The main South Indian languages include Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. If you refer the page South India you will know. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Theoder2055 (talk • contribs) 11:17, 1 March 2022 (UTC)
- Hello, Theoder2055. I assume you are talking about this edit. Firstly, we should not expect to readers to click on the blue link to know such an important detail. The purpose of blue links is to guide readers to known additional information, not for conveying essential information. Hence, its always better to specify the languages instead. Secondly, the page you linked also mentions that Urdu and French have official status in South India, therefore the statement as it stands remains misleading. Thanks -- Ab207 (talk)
- Agree with Ab207 in this case. Maybe you should hold discussion on talk page. It seems an IP reverted your edit to this. "All" sounds misleading. DareshMohan (talk) 03:30, 2 March 2022 (UTC)
Hi Ab207 I also agree but I have a doubt. Is that film Maaran dubbed in Hindi? Is it a pan Indian film? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Theoder2055 (talk • contribs) 11:45, 3 March 2022 (UTC)

Hello I'm Harald. I need your help. Please visit these two pages Pathaan (upcoming film) and Tiger 3, this page has been deleted many times. This is the 3rd or 4th page, they are redirect and copy pasting after the deletions. The statements and sources are unreliable and unofficial. Check these pages and nominate for deletion. Thank you. Harald.Hardradã.1015 (talk) 14:42, 4 March 2022 (UTC)
- Harald.Hardradã.1015, tagged Pathaan for speedy, and nominated Tiger 3 for AfD. -- Ab207 (talk) 14:44, 4 March 2022 (UTC)
Ab207 why you undone my edits from every page. I protected those pages from some IP address users disruptive behaviour edits. U Reverted my edits without knowing anything. Good work . I didn't come in your way, u should also do the same. Otherwise it will make u discomfort. It's a warning brother. You are the best editor of wikipedia i agreed and appreciate your works, but wikipedia is not owned by your dad. So please Don't come in my way. End of this discussion. Harald.Hardradã.1015 (talk) 12:50, 5 March 2022 (UTC)
- Harald.Hardradã.1015, I have explained my reverts in the edit summary and to you personally in this discussion, I recommend you to go through WP:LEADCITE which says citing non-controversial statements explicitly again is not required. Also these necessary to statements are necessary to the article per MOS:LEAD and WP:FILMLEAD.
- I'm no where near being in being the best editor but I believe all my edits are policy-compliant and I'm ready to explain my rationale whenever called upon. -- Ab207 (talk) 12:57, 5 March 2022 (UTC)
Ab207 You are a good editor in wikipedia. But here you only visiting the pages that i have edited. Removing my edits taking it as personal. And keep reverting. In Etharkkum Thunindhavan the statements already added in the production section and adding the same contents many times again in the top, middle and end by IP address users. Harald.Hardradã.1015 (talk) 13:10, 5 March 2022 (UTC)
- Harald.Hardradã.1015, this is an inaccurate statement as nothing personal is intended here. You've made 40+ edits to various articles today, while I made 70+ edits during the same period. We are engaged in a dispute only at two articles, Etharkkum Thunindhavan and Beast (2022 film), both are related to the same policy of MOS:LEAD. The content already in the production must be briefly mentioned again in the lead per WP:FILMLEAD, without citations; see how the lead of The Batman (film) is written for example. -- Ab207 (talk) 13:23, 5 March 2022 (UTC)
- @Harald.Hardradã.1015 The next time you make personal attacks against others, like you edit here reverting Ab207's edit here, I'll take you to the administrative noticeboards. (also noted on your talk page) — DaxServer (t · c) 13:23, 5 March 2022 (UTC)

Ab207 ok I understood my mistakes. I will not come in that way. And you should also do the same. Bye brother Harald.Hardradã.1015 (talk) 13:46, 5 March 2022 (UTC)

Etharkkum Thuninthavan
Hi I have added a content in Etharkkum Thuninthavan under the post production with a reliable source. Could you just check If I have added any unreliable source by mistakenly? I am also extremely sorry for removing content from the lead in Beast. Theoder2055 (talk) 12:52, 5 March 2022 (UTC)
- @Theoder2055: Yeah, those sources work. Also there's no need to say sorry, its a responsibility on my part to explain why I reverted your edit. -- Ab207 (talk) 09:18, 5 March 2022 (UTC)

Request for you to create article Family Pack.[1][2][3][4][5] There seems to be a lack of Kannada editors to create film articles on time (films like Ombatthane Dikku have enough sources for an article). Btw, thanks for Love Mocktail 2. DareshMohan (talk) 00:19, 27 February 2022 (UTC)

Many films are not linked in M. S. Narayana filmography. Is there any easy way to do this (mostly films from 2000-2010)? DareshMohan (talk) 00:11, 10 March 2022 (UTC)
- I'm not sure how to do this. Perhaps DaxServer can give us some idea. -- Ab207 (talk) 06:30, 10 March 2022 (UTC)
- I’d say, use regex to replace the unlinked ones (without any year disambs) and switch to visual editor’s visual mode. If you have link colouring user script installed, then you’ll see disambs in orange and redirects in green. Resolve them manually and unlink the red ones. I could that once I’m back at the computer, in less than an hour. Thanks for asking me @Ab207 :) DaxServerOnMobile (talk) 07:27, 10 March 2022 (UTC)

Hope to a help in Cooku with Comali (season 3)
Hi, There is an issue raised in Cooku with Comali (season 3) article where as I had created that with suitable colors and now that is been undid for some unexpected reasons. Then later I reverted them as for some minor ref. but again it has been undid with a threat. Then later I had to ask him about this in his talkpage. I hope u might help me to bring back it as then it would be familiar to update them. (This didn't happen when Bigg Boss (Tamil season 5) was been telecast but now for this show took placed; also both of them were ongoing shows and bigg boss was concluded recently but this didn't face d to this challenge.) Hope for a good reply. Thank you. -- TFEPing 📝 18:42, 11 March 2022 (UTC)
- fazran fayad, since this is a content-related disputed, better to bring up this up at the article talk page so other editors can also freely participate. As the material has been challenged, try to add references somewhere in the article, be it in the table or prose. If you are adding basic and uncontroversial information, you can cite the episode in which its shown/took place.
{{cite AV media}}
is available for this purpose. For films, this is not generally required but I'm not very familiar with MOS of television shows to tell what's followed in such cases. -- Ab207 (talk) 19:14, 11 March 2022 (UTC)- Done 🙂 -- TFEPing 📝 12:57, 12 March 2022 (UTC)

What is poorly referenced information
Hi, My edit on Trivikram Srinivas is being rolled back citing poorly referenced information. Can you please elaborate on that? How can "poor reference" be a reason to not allow allegations of plagiarism?
43.228.92.58 (talk) 12:13, 21 March 2022 (UTC)
- Hello, IP. As per Wikipedia's policy, original research is not allowed. Original research means material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist. So in order to add anything to the article, you must cite reliable sources like newspaper articles, magazines, books (but not blogs and gossips sites) which supports the information you add. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources on how to add them. Hope this helps -- Ab207 (talk) 12:19, 21 March 2022 (UTC)
- But do we really need reputed newspaper/magazine articles backing the information if it is theft of creativity. In this particular case, the information being mentioned is not a mere allegation, but a repeated and much talked about action done by a film maker. Do I need confirmation of some reputation to know that two creative pieces are the same, when this has been widely publicized already.
- I will not be making that change if it's not allowed, but I'm failing to understand the logic that we need backing of an article to know some creative piece has been copied from another. Hope you understand. 43.228.92.58 (talk) 12:27, 21 March 2022 (UTC)
- I understand what you are trying to say but the policy requires us to add references so that other editors or readers can WP:VERIFY what written is correct. For example, if you can find any article which lists out the scenes he copied, then we can write so and so author said that Trivikram copied all these things but it cannot be added without a reference. If it doesn't have a source, then it doesn't belong in Wikipedia -- Ab207 (talk) 12:33, 21 March 2022 (UTC)
- Okay, I think if you keep allowing articles with no source, Wikipedia looses its credibility. Thanks for your patient explanation though. 43.228.92.58 (talk) 12:38, 21 March 2022 (UTC)
- That's correct. Have a nice day -- Ab207 (talk) 12:40, 21 March 2022 (UTC)

- Since almost all films are Telugu, best to remove the non-Telugu films and put it in a separate table like Ab207 said. The films seem to be reverse/non chornological order. Take the year 2019 for example NTR: Kathanayakudu released first, but is listed last. Wall Poster may not have released yet. Should we include Namaste Nestama, he reshot for it and it doesn't seem to be dubbed (double check CBFC). What about Vaanam, director Krish reused Brahmanandam's portion from Vedam? HI, it is regarding this edit. I've reverted them before since the BH source says the trimmed version is 181.53 mins. Is it contentious ? - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 19:23, 24 March 2022 (UTC)
- Fylindfotberserk, not contentious. They seem to be changing it based on censor runtime of 187 minutes but that's the total length reviewed by CBFC but the actual runtime can differ from that as makers are free to reduce length (but not add) using the same certificate. -- Ab207 (talk) 19:42, 24 March 2022 (UTC)

- Hello, Kailash29792. We are cleaning up pre-maturely created film articles which are long shelved/stuck in production hell. We could use your hand in deciding the fate of some of these: Redirect, PROD or AfD. -- Ab207 (talk) 10:05, 6 March 2022 (UTC)
- Do whatever you feel is right. If unreleased films shouldn't have articles, why is there Category:Unreleased films? What would happen to the not-even half completed Marudhanayagam if even completed films shouldn't have articles? Dhruva Natchathiram, Naragasooran and Server Sundaram are interesting cases. Kailash29792 (talk) 10:17, 6 March 2022 (UTC)
- Kailash29792, Let me clarify that I never argued that unreleased films should not have articles. However, WP:NFF says "
films produced in the past which were either not completed or not distributed should not have their own articles, unless their failure was notable per the guidelines.
" The article of Dhruva Natchathiram or even Indian 2 for example, note why the film has been delayed and occasionally receive coverage on their status. Sadly, that's not the case with many mid-to-low tier films. When such films are halted– the media, the actors and even makers simply move on without any mention. But their Wikipedia article forever remain as a stub without meeting the relevant guidelines, unless someone acts upon them. -- Ab207 (talk) 10:30, 6 March 2022 (UTC)- You got the words I thought of, but unable to type on a mobile. These "mid-to-low tier" films may be deleted, while higher profile films like the ones I mentioned should stay, mentioning what keeps them from being completed/released with sources. Kailash29792 (talk) 10:35, 6 March 2022 (UTC)
- Kailash29792, got it. While I try my best to fairly judge the notability of these unreleased films, I felt your input would be helpful regarding them. I'm redirecting/merging the ones with notable director while sending the others to PROD or AfD. -- Ab207 (talk) 10:46, 6 March 2022 (UTC)
- Ab207 I think the rest are probably best sent to AfD. DareshMohan (talk) 23:55, 7 March 2022 (UTC)
- DareshMohan, yep. Many of the remaining ones are in may be category but I think we weeded out the non-notable ones. -- Ab207 (talk) 07:04, 8 March 2022 (UTC)
- It seems Malayalam, Kannada, and Telugu (only one page) films might have the same issue. Listing here. (sorry for the long list) DareshMohan (talk) 07:34, 8 March 2022 (UTC)
- DareshMohan Yeah, that's alright. Better to have a comprehensive list. Personally, I think some leeway can be given for those films which have a scheduled release date, or the ones which have completed filming recently (though NFF does not make any distinction as such). -- Ab207 (talk) 07:46, 8 March 2022 (UTC)
- How about moving this list to ICTF and managing, tracking from there? That'd give better visibility for others as well? — DaxServer (t · m · c) 13:24, 25 March 2022 (UTC)
- DaxServer, good suggestion. Better if ICTF maintains a quality control of unreleased films. -- Ab207 (talk) 17:31, 25 March 2022 (UTC)

- You got the words I thought of, but unable to type on a mobile. These "mid-to-low tier" films may be deleted, while higher profile films like the ones I mentioned should stay, mentioning what keeps them from being completed/released with sources. Kailash29792 (talk) 10:35, 6 March 2022 (UTC)
- Kailash29792, Let me clarify that I never argued that unreleased films should not have articles. However, WP:NFF says "
- DareshMohan, whoa, they are a lot. I linked them for easy access. Some of them have adequate content under production section which makes it a difficult case for deletion. I'll start with the easy ones first. -- Ab207 (talk) 05:34, 6 March 2022 (UTC) Edit: Added bullet points to entries 09:48, 6 March 2022 (UTC)
- @DaxServer and DareshMohan: Shall we move this list to a sub page say Wikipedia:WikiProject Film/Indian cinema task force/Unreleased films, and notify the ICTF talk page? I think we can also add it as section in Wikipedia:WikiProject Film/Indian cinema task force/to do -- Ab207 (talk) 08:11, 29 March 2022 (UTC)
- Yupp sounds good. Probably we will expand the list to incorporate all upcoming ones from ICTF scope :) — DaxServer (mobile) (t · m · c) 08:24, 29 March 2022 (UTC)
- Done, moved to Wikipedia:WikiProject Film/Indian cinema task force/Future films; @DaxServer and DareshMohan: Please note. -- Ab207 (talk) 18:04, 29 March 2022 (UTC)
Satyadev Kancharana
Is this guy credited as Satya Dev? Can his page be renamed Satya Dev (actor)? Also can you add Zamin Ryot review to Draft:Rajababu (2006 film). DareshMohan (talk) 00:02, 31 March 2022 (UTC)
- DareshMohan, he's credited as Satya Dev but referred with full name in many English-lang sources, so I don't feel strongly about either one.
- Added review to the draft but it already meets WP:NFILM, imo. I recommend to take this up with reviewer, or better apply for auto-patrolled since you meet the requirements -- Ab207 (talk) 06:27, 31 March 2022 (UTC)
