Your contributed article, Ana Ivanović career statistics[edit]

Ambox notice.png

Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, Ana Ivanović career statistics. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as yourself. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - Ana Ivanovic. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will to continue helping improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Ana Ivanovic - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. -- BigDom 18:51, 14 February 2010 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Caba Siladji[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Caba Siladji has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. The-Pope (talk) 14:45, 24 August 2010 (UTC)

Names[edit]

Please stop adding multiple translations to the Eurovision Song Contest articles. Such translations are only appropriate when the article is about or closely linked to a particular country (as opposed to merely taking place there). For events involving many countries with numerous translations, we use the English only. You will also note that Eurovision use English in all their literature, graphics and communications. Requesting page moves[edit]

Hello.

Please follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Requested moves when requesting page moves. Just copying the string {{Requested move/dated|xxxxxxxx}} and pasting it to the talkpage in question will cause the pagemove bot to fail to identify the timestamp of the move request, which will cause it to be listed at "Time could not be ascertained".

Thanks

Diacritics[edit]

I am sorry I have had to go against everything, all because of the stronger links to their new countries. However, there is one where I prove I am not being Anti-Serb or hypocritical and that is with Janics Natasa. Thanks Aca. Evlekis (Евлекис) (argue) 22:48, 1 September 2011 (UTC)

I knew it would be useless to start discussion on renaming. Sorry, but I have to say that English users are ignorant who will ask for "sources" for original names... -- Bojan  Talk  05:02, 14 September 2011 (UTC)

April 2012[edit]

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Template:Serbia in the Eurovision Song Contest and Template:Montenegro in the Eurovision Song Contest, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. An outstanding consensus was agreed at WT:ESC a few years ago, in that Eurovision templates for Serbia should also show Serbia and Montenegero in subscript text. WikiProject Eurovision: Recent changes[edit]

Hello,

Please note that there have been some changes to operations surrounding Eurovision articles, these being that:

  • Template names have now been modernised and/or megred into super-templates, for example Countries in the Eurovision Song Contest has now been merged into Template:Eurovision Song Contest making it even easier to find everything under one template. If you are planning to create a new template, please keep the standardised titles in mind. Other templates have been modernised and a full list of them can be found here.
  • The Eurovision Song Contest and Junior Eurovision Song Contest articles have now been standardised to keep a consitancy throughout the project and to the genral reader too. Skeleton article drafts can be found for Eurovision Song Contest by Year and Junior Eurovision Song Contest by Year.

Medal templates[edit]

Hi

I noticed you added medal templates to Ann Strother, which look fine, meanig they are open by default. However, in the case of Skylar Diggins and Bria Hartley, they are closed by default. I haven't figured out what is triggering the difference.

In the case of Hartley, I changed the color, because the "show" button was unreadable. I'd prefer to have it open by default, and restore the color. Any thoughts?--SPhilbrick(Talk) 18:54, 1 October 2012 (UTC)

Novak[edit]

Opet si ovde dodao SCG nepotrebno u kutijicu. Pre toga si dodao SR Jugoslaviju. Zašto to radiš, nije mi jasno?

A Nadal i Federer imaju dobar clanak.

Ispravio sam sad ja i azurirao neke podatke.

Musa Hajdari[edit]

I don't want to make any "edit-wars" - I just have one simple question - why Kosovan records achieved before IAAF recognition are not recognized here when Croatian records achieved before IAAF recognition (from time when Croatian athletes competed for Yugoslavia - the oldest one from 1956 (!)) are recognized here? I think that this is little inconsistent. Moreover IAAF database isn't perfect - they don't have a lot of results from smaller countries so it isn't a perfect source for their records - national federations mention their national records a lot earlier - especially when this results are far from good and were achieved in local meetings. 99kerob (talk) 18:15, 25 August 2015 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Milan Marić[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Milan Marić has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Seemingly obvious non-notable and unimprovable actor article as my searches found nothing better and his IMDB summarizes this well.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Rochestie[edit]

Please do not add Montenegrin language to article about Taylor Rochestie...there is no such thing as Montenegrin language, and this guy is American and have nothing with Montenegro and their language (which is actualy called Maternji in schools). Of course there is - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montenegrin_language - wake up and snort the coffee grounds. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.111.211.140 (talk) 04:05, 11 October 2016 (UTC)

WikiProject Eurovision: Important Announcement[edit]

WikiProject Eurovision
Important Announcement
Wiki Eurovision Heart (Infobox).svg

Dear Project Member

Following a project community discussion, which was raised over the use of English translation columns on annual contest articles, and advice from the lead coordinator of The Guild of Copy Editors, who are extremely knowledgeable in regards to all editing practises and manual of style policies. A consensus decision has been reached to fully remove ALL English translations, as such content falls under the prohibition on original research, even if it seems helpful to the reader. This is because we have now to assume that every reader has access to automated translation tools that can always give them a sense of the meaning of the title in their native language; it is not Wikipedia's job to provide those tools for the reader. Which therefore means we are no longer to include an English translation column, nor are we to provide translation by any other means on contest articles.

Such information is currently in the process of being removed, and a new table formatting and layout style is being rolled out across all articles. Please view the new guidance on table layout at Wikipedia:WikiProject Eurovision/Format and Guides#Article layout. An example of the new table layout style can also be access via the collapsed section within this message. Thank you.

Hungary in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017[edit]

Hello!

You wrote that the Hungarian entry contains Romani language parts, but this is not true, even if the almighty Wiwibloggs wrote about it. I'm Hungarian, and spoke with Joci himself, and there is no part in Romani in the song, these are just onomatopoeic words, and doesn't mean anything nor in Hungarian, neither in Romani. So please, if I can kindly ask you, remove this misleading information from the article Origo and Eurovision Song Contest 2017. Thank you so much, have a nice day. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
