Edit summaries
[edit]Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! [edit]Hello, I'm NinjaRobotPirate. I noticed that you recently removed content from Rugrats in Paris: The Movie without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 03:34, 24 January 2021 (UTC)
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Rugrats in Paris: The Movie. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 03:29, 30 January 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize pages by deliberately introducing incorrect information, as you did at Warner Bros., you may be blocked from editing. Nexstar has NOT completed its purchase of The CW. Please stop adding this. BilCat (talk) 23:22, 22 July 2022 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for August 21
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Bonkers (American TV series), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mystery. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:31, 21 August 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your edits to Consolidated Edison, please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history, as well as helping prevent edit conflicts. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the article will look like without actually saving it.
It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you. Nick Levine (talk) 22:28, 1 April 2023 (UTC)
Sourcing, again: New York Comic Con
[edit]Hello, BREWJACKSTONE. Please do not add uncited material to articles, as you did with this edit to New York Comic Con, something you've already been warned about at least twice on this talk page. Wikipedia requires that the material in its articles be accompanied by reliable, verifiable (usually secondary) sources explicitly cited in the article text in the form of an inline citation, which you can learn to make here. If you ever have any other questions about editing, or need help regarding the site's policies, just let me know by leaving a message for me in a new section at the bottom of my talk page. Thanks. [edit]Please do not add or change content, as you did at Gargoyles (TV series), without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Please do not modify sourced statements to say things that are not mentioned in the provided source, unless you also provide a source that backs up the additional information you're adding. DonIago (talk) 13:47, 5 July 2023 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Hershey's Cookies 'n' Creme, you may be blocked from editing. You can't change sourced content without updating the source. Julietdeltalima (talk) 17:47, 14 July 2023 (UTC)
