[edit]Hello, I'm A Simple Human. I noticed that you recently removed content from 2020 Lanka Premier League without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Dambulla Viiking in 2020 moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Dambulla Viiking in 2020, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. ... discospinster talk 20:02, 12 December 2020 (UTC)

DYK for Dambulla Viiking in 2020
[edit]On 9 March 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Dambulla Viiking in 2020, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the Jaffna Stallions took home the trophy for the inaugural season of the Lanka Premier League in 2020, besting the Galle Gladiators, the Dambulla Viiking, and the Kandy Tuskers, despite failing to record a win against the Colombo Kings? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Dambulla Viiking in 2020. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Dambulla Viiking in 2020), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (ie, 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Empty edit summary (Sep 2024)
[edit]Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! QEnigma (talk) 08:03, 28 September 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, and thank you for your recent edit to Template:Politics of Sri Lanka. Kindly refrain from editing data without thoroughly reviewing and studying the entire template. [edit]Hello, please avoid unnecessarily complicating the structure or code of a template by introducing redundant or excessive elements, as you have done on Template: Politics of Sri Lanka. Such changes increase the risk of errors and may cause the template to break. Keep modifications focused and essential. Thank you for your understanding. QEnigma (talk) 17:04, 18 October 2024 (UTC)
- Hello, please note that
|listnname=
is shown expanded when the template is first displayed; see {{Collapsible lists option}}. This is useful in some pages when using this temlpate; Example like: Member of Parliament (United Kingdom). Thank You! DT Truth 🗩talk! 20:21, 18 October 2024 (UTC)- Thank you for your response. While the parameter highlighted may be useful in specific cases, infrequently used parameters add little value, unnecessary complexity and increase the risk of errors. Keeping templates streamlined with essential parameters ensures better functionality and ease of maintenance across pages. QEnigma (talk) 04:27, 19 October 2024 (UTC)

2024 Elpitiya PS election article
[edit]Hello. I appreciate your initiative in creating and publishing the 2024 Elpitiya Pradeshiya Sabha election article. However, I would like to bring a few points to your attention regarding its content and completion.
Firstly, the introduction was incorrect. In your initial creation ([1]), you stated, The Pradeshiya Sabha election in Elpitiya was held on 14 November 2024 to elect 28 members to the Elpitiya Pradeshiya Sabha. This wording, which was never corrected even in subsequent edits ([2]), suggests you may have directly copied this sentence from another article without adapting it. Although copying text can save time, it is advisable to either write the content yourself or ensure that any copied text is carefully reviewed and edited to suit the new article's context.
Additionally, the article lacked completion, requiring other editors to invest time in copy-editing, adding verifiable sources, adding historical data, and making necessary corrections. As the article creator, these tasks should have been a priority to maintain the quality of content over speed.
Almost all of these issues could be mitigated if you create the article as a draft, refine it, and then move it to the main space. Repeatedly editing an article in the main space is unproductive and time-consuming. I encourage you to review WP:MOS and WP:CTW to ensure your writing meets encyclopaedic standards. Thank you for your understanding. QEnigma (talk) 06:20, 27 October 2024 (UTC)
