Information icon Hello, I'm Ezlev. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Welcome![edit]

Hello, Edgnetwork, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you created or edited appears to be an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians—as this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. Your user page, however, is a great place to write about yourself, making sure to stay within user page guidelines. Just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit it normally.

The page you created about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page. If your contributions to an existing article about yourself are undone and you wish to add to it, please propose the changes on its talk page.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! December 2020[edit]

Information icon Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Black Lives Matter. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. EvergreenFir (talk) 23:09, 5 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at White people, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Rsk6400 (talk) 06:52, 6 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Discretionary Sanction Notification[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

John Patler, image claim[edit]

So, you uploaded File:Patler.jpeg with a licensing claim of "I, the copyright holder of this work". Did you yourself take this photograph of Patler in court, fifty-four years ago? Did you purchase or inherit it from the photographer? ValarianB (talk) 14:12, 1 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright[edit]

I have just deleted all of the files you uploaded of Nick Fuentes, Baked Alaska, and various others. Every one of them appears to have been taken from elsewhere online, and it is exceedingly unlikely you were the author of all of them. We have quite strict guidelines about which images we can use, and unless you own the copyright to an image (in most cases, meaning you took the photograph yourself), you cannot release an image for use on Wikipedia. If you would like to learn more, please see Commons:First steps for a primer. Please do not continue uploading these copyright violations; if you continue, you will most likely be blocked. You seem to be very interested in this article, which is fine, but please do not add unsourced information to it, as you did when you add "Republican Party" to the informbox. Since there is no mention in the article proper of Anglin being a member of the Republican Party, adding that to the infobox would require a citation from a reliable source.

You've also attempted to add a number of photographs to the article. Please be aware that you cannot simply grab an image from the internet and upload it to Wikipedia. If a photograph is copyrighted, it cannot be uploaded to Wikimedia Commons at all, and it can only be uploaded and used here if there is an accompanying Template:Non-free use rationale which explains who owns it, where it came from, and why it should be allowed to be used here. Beyond My Ken (talk) 18:34, 13 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Likewise with adding "Trumpism" to the infobox: no mention of Trump or Trumpism appears in the article whatsoever. And adding such content is not a minor edit. Lester Mobley (talk) 04:37, 17 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for February 19[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Nick Fuentes, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Nativism. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:31, 19 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

When information has been removed from an article because the source cited does not support the claim made, do not retore it to the article except if it is accompanied by another source which does support it. You retored deleted information from this article, but did not provide an additional source. Please do not do this again. Beyond My Ken (talk) 00:30, 14 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
