Hello, Georgeeliotismybae. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Female Political Union of the Working Classes, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Emma Boorman moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Draft:Emma Boorman, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. • I have moved this to article space and cleaned it up a little. I'll go through all such cases here and do whatever seems appropriate – just let me know if you have any objections or requests. Andrew D. (talk) 17:19, 17 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Yvonne Canu[edit]

Hi, I'm Hydronium Hydroxide. Georgeeliotismybae, thanks for creating Yvonne Canu!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Please consider adding evidence to more clearly establish notability/impact/critical attention against one or more of the criteria at WP:ARTIST. As it stands, it appears questionable that she passes the notability bar, and would survive WP:AFD (quick gsearch also performed).

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

  • To get this into mainspace, I have moved it to Anne, Baroness Ockham and made that a provisional redirect to her husband. Your original version is still in the history which can be expanded as and when there's more to say. I'll get the link in draftspace deleted to tidy up. Andrew D. November 2018[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Frances, Baroness Byron a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. It looks like you've taken a copy of Victoria-Tess Jenner's sandbox, User:Victoria-Tess Jenner/sandbox and created the article using that work, thus robbing VTJ of the credit she's due for her work. Cabayi (talk) 16:41, 17 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Draft pages[edit]

Hi. I would really recommend that you don't move pages from draft to article space until they are fully referenced and meet the criteria for inclusion. It's okay to be new, but it's unwise to ignore advice like the above. Deb (talk) 22:44, 18 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Events[edit]

With a bit more time on my hands I see your event was this, which doesn't appear to have had any interaction with the wiki-community. Can I point you at WP:GLAM, Wikipedia's outreach for museums, and to wmuk:Cultural partnerships, Wikimedia UK's Cultural partnerships page where you can get help for any future events and in other ways. Cabayi (talk) 19:40, 19 November 2018 (UTC) Thanks Cabayi - we actually have partnered with Wikipedia for several events, but none of these partnerships were suggested! So, good to know for future events.Georgeeliotismybae (talk) 15:34, 24 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
