I've partially fixed your article for you by adding coverage from WP:Independent sources, and adding them as full WP:Footnotes. You can't cite blogs, people/employees/directors, etc. You can cite the subject's own webpage only for extremely non-controversial material, like what publisher owns the magazine.
If you are aware of any other music journals, history books, etc. which comment on the magazine, its editor, its impact, etc feel free to add those. It might be full enough to publish now though, so we'll see. Also note, after it publishes you can add one photo/scan of the cover of whatever edition as an example of what the publication looked like. You can do this (for one image) despite copyright under the WP:Fair use provision. Let me know if you have any trouble figuring out how to add an image (post on my Talk page to reach me). MatthewVanitas (talk) 21:35, 9 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Correction, I forgot it started in 1909: most anything published prior to 1923 in the US is out-of-copyright, so you can add whatever images directly to WP:Wikimedia Commons so that the image will be freely available. On a separate note, if you have access to paper copies have you considered having the pre-1923 ones OCR-scanned so they can be made widely available on the internet for interested organ enthusiasts? Please stop making Scranton Gillette articles until you learn how to do one successfully

[edit]

Greetings, I see you've made a number of drafts about journals owned by "Scranton Gillette". At least one of these, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/The Diapason (magazine) appears to actually meet WP:Notability, but instead of working to improve that one you keep making new drafts that consistently do not meet Notability.

At this point, it does rather look like you've been assigned to make articles about SG products; if you are a paid employee doing so I strongly recommend that you post some basic declaration on your WP:Userpage stating that you are an employee or hired supporter of "Scranton Gillette" and that you have read WP:Conflict of interest. Lest someone accuse you of covertly advertising.

In any case, you really need to stop making drafts until you learn how to get one approved. Until then, you're tying up reviewer time on articles that may not ever be publishable. Please stick with one draft at a time until you get the hang of it, and if you are an SG employee you need to declare that involvement for the purposes of transparency. Your userpage declaration

[edit]

I see that you have created a user page that declares your status as an employee of Scranton Gillette but that you do not have any intention to use Wikipedia for advertising. However, I also note that your entire contribution to Wikipedia has been to create various articles or AFC submissions about your employer's publications, so your stated intent and your actual activities appear to be at odds. Information icon Hello, I'm Deb. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions because it appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you.

WikiDan61, I just read your message. I find it pretty confusing--in what way is posting about the company I work for advertising? The pages that are online and in AFC are completely non-promotional, because I know that Wikipedia would take them down--they are written with the intention of being strictly informational. I don't see my user declaration and posts as being at odds--if I wasn't using this account to post about Scranton Gillette publications, why would I have made that declaration in the first place? It would be irrelevant. Report me as being an advertiser all you like, but if I wanted to advertise, I'd do it elsewhere.

I am attempting to post Scranton Gillette's publications on Wikipedia, simply so that they can exist here as informational pages. Despite numerous attempts to conform to Wikipedia's guidelines regarding references and notability, many of the articles I have attempted to create have been rejected. The ones that have been accepted are not substantially different from the rejected ones and this is extremely frustrating. Do you have any suggestions as to what is holding the rest of my articles back from being published (other than your contention that they are promotional)?

I will admit that your AFC submissions have been neutral and informative, and have relied as greatly as possible on independent sources. Unfortunately, the coverage in the independent sources is fairly skimpy: brief mentions in passing for the most part. The problem is that these publications are largely focused on a very limited population, and thus do not receive enough general notice. You might do better to create a single article on Scranton Gillette, with a listing of its publications and a brief blurb on each publication. (Or, if that list is too long, perhaps some concentration on the largest publications.) WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 12:31, 17 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the advice! That's not a bad solution. I had one other question, though--Architectural Record, which is a comparable magazine to some of SGC's publications (it's not affiliated with the company in any way, though) has a Wikipedia page. When you get the time, could you possibly take a quick look at them and let me know what we're doing differently? In the event that there's anything that would help make my AFCs Wikipedia-worthy. Regardless, I appreciate your response. Gulpingguppy (talk) 16:13, 18 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Gulpingguppy. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Imaging Technology News, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. TRL (talk) 04:04, 22 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
