Oyin Ameen moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Oyin Ameen, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. [edit]Hello IJK193. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Kupe Dance, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:IJK193. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=IJK193|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. signed, Rosguill talk 03:28, 10 May 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Rosguill, I just received your message. I haven't been active for a while due to the pandemic, am not being compensated for editing but my contributions on wikpedia are based on subjects that interest me. Here's an instant, am watching a movie on Netflix and it rated 7/10, I search about the movie and I can't find a Wikipedia about it. I create one, like I did for In My Country (2017 film) or I come across a prominent singer and He/She has no wiki article. I take out time to do my research and create one for them, like I did for FALANA. The time is 5am, am just waking up and am about create an article for "ZULU" by Nasty C & DJ Whoo Kid which was released 5 hours ago on AudioMack with over 2.69 million streams, permit me to say this "I write based on Self-Interest" meaning if it doesn't interest me, I don't write about it.--IJK193 (talk) 04:33, 25 June 2020 (UTC)
Contested deletion
[edit]This page should not be speedily deleted because... (I haven't violated the rules on Wikipedia, I don't recall doing anything wrong than contributing positively to the encyclopedia-like I recently did and also made a huge correction on Nasty C exclusive deal with UMG subsidiaries and provided reliable sources to back it all up.) --IJK193 (talk) 17:54, 26 June 2020 (UTC)
Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello IJK193, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your additions to Draft:Tope Omotolani have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are PD or compatibly licensed) it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions, the help desk or the Teahouse before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps in Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate. See also Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 14:26, 10 August 2020 (UTC)

- Sorry but we can't host copyright content on Wikipedia, not even in sandboxes or drafts. Please don't add copyright content to Wikipedia, not even temporarily for editing. Please do your amendments before you save the page, or use an external editor. Thanks, — Diannaa (talk) 22:10, 13 August 2020 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Rare. (Odunsi album)
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Rare. (Odunsi album) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article does not exist or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Sock-puppetry Warning
[edit]Hello, IJK193, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia. Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who misuse multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. Thank you. Celestina007 (talk) 12:58, 28 September 2020 (UTC)
- Celestina007 I have read the policy and understands Wikipedia doesn’t allow multiple account. I also hereby declare; I don’t run multi-account or in association with an community.--IJK193 (talk) 16:26, 28 September 2020 (UTC)
- IJK193, for record sake, before I proceed to make a formal complaint against you/ open a formal investigation against you, are you categorically stating that prior this account, you have never edited Wikipedia under a different account in the past? Please that was a close-ended question & a yes/no reply is sufficient for me. Celestina007 (talk) 16:43, 28 September 2020 (UTC)
- Celestina007, no I haven't edited under a different account, and matter of fact; I look for similar articles for guidelines to meet its criteria before starting a draft. If I may ask, why all this questioning? do new editors have to pass through a test before they are allowed into this community to contribute willingly?, Wikipedia for me is to pass time, more like a newfound hobby, and not to earn a living. I hope this clarifies, all your question?, cause you making me feel unwelcome here Celestina007--IJK193 (talk) 20:47, 28 September 2020 (UTC)
- You are most definitely welcome here. I have very valid UPE concerns here & apparently, an Administrator also shares similar concerns so forgive me for being thorough. I like how you are stating all these, because in future they would surely come in handy. Goodbye for now, I’d be seeing you around sooner than later. UPE Warning
[edit]Hello IJK193. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Draft:Odunsi (The Engine), gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:IJK193. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=IJK193|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Celestina007 (talk) 14:58, 28 September 2020 (UTC)
- It is in your best interest to cease from editing until you disclose your Paid status & a list of all the accounts you are using to edit Wikipedia from past to present. Thank you. Celestina007 (talk) 15:00, 28 September 2020 (UTC)
- Celestina007, as stated above, but I am dedicated to whatever I’m writing. Whenever I start an article, I stay up writing all day, till I’m done with the draft and unable to find reliable sources on whatever subject I’m writing on.--IJK193 (talk) 16:39, 28 September 2020 (UTC)
- That wasn’t what I was asking you, I’ve asked you before now to state if or not you have used any other account to edit Wikipedia & you haven’t responded to that. I asked you to just say a simple yes or no & you cleverly evaded the question. Its interesting Rosguill shared similar concerns on your Paid status. That would be all for now. Celestina007 (talk) 17:15, 28 September 2020 (UTC)

- Celestina007, It's a no, but due to the pandemic I have been really active. Also would be starting-up a draft on IIowa, a town in Ilesa, Osun State. Like I said on my userpage "might touch other areas surrounding the cyclopedia eco-system", so this is going to be challenging but worth the try.--IJK193 (talk) 18:03, 28 September 2020 (UTC)
October 2020
[edit]Hello, IJK193. You have a good deal of experience of editing Wikipedia, and one of the things you have learnt to do very well is to hide the signs of sockpuppetry. Luckily, however, everyone habitually does little things that are so natural to them that they don't realise how distinctive they are, and by studying an editor's editing history very carefully it is possible to find those things. One or two similarities could be mistaken for just coincidental similarities between two different people, but by the time one has found a significant number of them, that possibility disappears. I certainly do not thank you for taking up my time in such a meticulous examination of the editing history of your various accounts, because I have far better things to spend my time on. However, the task is now done, and I shall block this sockpuppet account from editing. I don't need to tell you yet again about blocks and unblock requests, as you have already been told about them on talk pages of other accounts. I shall also see about reverting edits you have done and deleting pages you have created using this sockpuppet. JBW (talk) 20:58, 11 October 2020 (UTC)
- Hi, JBW can you prove your observation, by sharing some of your evidence because I don't understand the reason for my block or forcing a wrong claim on me, by calling me a sockpuppet. You blocked me because "I have a good experience in editing" like you stated above. Is that a crime here? I edit other people Wikipedia to copy templates, till I saw exiting templates and stopped copying. I fully understand G5, you have to first prove that before you placed that on my articles. If you checked my articles, they all meet WP:GNG and none was placed under "G11" or "G3" because they were well written on NPOV with no multiple issues.--IJK193 (talk) 07:23, 12 October 2020 (UTC)
- No, per WP:BEANS, nobody would share any evidence with you as we wouldn’t want to make it easy for undisclosed paid editors to evade scrutiny, if you intend to make a honest appeal which you clearly aren’t interested in doing, do so through your main account. Celestina007 (talk) 07:50, 12 October 2020 (UTC)
- I was talking to the editor that blocked me from editing and not you, If I may ask why responding on their behalf. Why do you give me this feeling, there is a strong connection between both users or some type of plan work. You trying to get me into some shit, and I refuse to fall victim to this, hell no. I have a voice here also and demand some type of evidence to be shared with a check-user or an admin as followed Rosguill or Diannaa--IJK193 (talk) 08:11, 12 October 2020 (UTC).
- Also can someone please check this user Looh374, I notice they have been on my user-page with no contribution on Wikipedia.--IJK193 (talk) 08:25, 12 October 2020 (UTC)
- If it becomes appropriate I shall willingly explain to another administrator how I came to establish that this account is a sockpuppet. CheckUser is irrelevant, for several reasons, including the fact that a CheckUser can't possibly prove that two accounts are not operated by the same person. (Incidentally, if you are pretending that you have no experience of editing other than that which is visible in the history of this account then how do you even know that such a thing as a CheckUser exists?)
- Please don't misrepresent what I say. I certainly did not suggest that I blocked you because you "have a good experience in editing".
- The standard of English in your editing to articles and drafts (both from this account and from your other accounts) is vastly better than that seen in your talk page edits. It is therefore 100% clear that both you have been posting material that you have not written yourself. As far as I can see either you are posting material you have copied from elsewhere, probably infringing copyright, or else you are editing on behalf of others who provide you with the material to post, almost certainly for undisclosed payments. Either of those is in itself sufficient grounds for a block, irrespective of the other issues.
- Celestina007 made some perfectly constructive comments. Anything you post on Wikipedia is available for anyone to see: there is no such thing as a private message here, and anyone who has anything constructive to contribute can respond to any message posted, whether it is explicitly addressed to them or not. If for some reason you would prefer her not to post to this page then politely asking her not to is a better approach than expressing anger because she has done so. JBW (talk) 20:13, 12 October 2020 (UTC)
- JBW, I did a google search on “Wikipedia Sockpuppet” then I came across this wp:HSOCK, now you know how I knew about CheckUser. Like have said repeatedly; I have no business with paid editing and I do this because I have a self interest on whatever I write on.--IJK193 (talk) 23:35, 12 October 2020 (UTC)
- Having seen the additional evidence provided by JBW, I'm satisfied with the decision to block. signed, Rosguill talk 00:12, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
- Rosguill, alright thanks for your time. But I honestly don’t run a multiple account here. Also JBW, I’m seeing two type of unblock request, one is a template and the other takes you somewhere else, do I use both?.--IJK193 (talk) 03:19, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
Also how do I go about this?--IJK193 (talk) 03:24, 13 October 2020 (UTC)

The Months of African Cinema Contest Continues in November!
[edit]Greetings,
Thank you very much for participating in the Months of African Cinema global contest/edit-a-thon, and thank you for your contributions so far.
It is already the middle of the contest and a lot have been achieved already! We have been able to get over 1,500 articles created in over fifteen (15) languages!
