The file File:Miyazaki Kinema Jumpo 1987.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-free image which fails WP:NFCC#8. Despite what is claimed in the rationale, there is really no encyclopedic value to seeing how Miyazaki looked at the time of this film's release any more than it would be to see how any director of a film looked at the time one of their films was released; so, the claim that this type of non-free use some meets WP:NFC#CS is not really relevant unless there is some sourced critical commentary in the article which shows that reliable sources discussed Miyazaki's appearance at the time and how it was somehow related to this particular film.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Marchjuly (talk) 01:30, 15 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The file File:Royal Space Force Press Conference.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-free image which fails WP:NFCC#1 and WP:NFCC#8. Any content about the change in the film's title or logo can be more than sufficiently explained by cited source content in the article per and there is no real encyclopedic value in seeing a photo of a press conference where such changes were announced. If a non-free image is needed for such a change, than one showing the differences in logos would make more sense than a press conference photo. At the same time, unless there is something about this particular photo itself (e.g. some kind of controversy surrounding it) which was the subject of sourced critical commentary in reliable sources, the context for non-free use required by NFCC#8 is also lacking.

The file File:Animage June 1984 p. 47 excerpt.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-free image which fails WP:NFCC#1 and WP:NFCC#8. Despite the claims being made in the non-free rationale, there is no real encyclopedic value to the reader in seeing this newspaper clipping per WP:NFCC#1 and WP:NFCC#8. The historical background of the film are things which can more than sufficient be describe by text alone and content about the clipping (e.g. the image's caption) can be added added to the body of the article with supporting citations per WP:FREER; moreover, unless this particular newspaper article itself was somehow the subject of sourced critical commentary in other reliable sources at the time (e.g. some kind of controversy surrounding it), then the context for non-free use required by NFCC#8 is also lacking.

Uru in Blue

[edit]

Just saw your edit summaries. If you want to split the article (of course provided there is consensus, or at least absence of dissent, yaddayadda :), that is not a problem; splits always import material without the history, which is why it is crucial that you mark the new material as split from another article where the history can still be seen. That includes an appropriate edit summary and a talk page note; otherwise you are good. Have a look at Wikipedia:Splitting for details. For what it's worth, that section seems easily long enough and sourced well enough for splitting off in my view. Cheers --Elmidae (talk · contribs) 00:41, 8 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Uru in Blue, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Joujouka (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

The Wings of Honnêamise

[edit]

I just stumbled across this article you have written up and was really impressed about the time and effort that went into making it. Do you have plans on taking it to GAN or FAC? GamerPro64 17:10, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I do believe its mostly there. My one concern is whether or not the Plot section has enough information on what happens in it. Besides that, I think it could be a contender for Good Article to start. If you want, I can do a once over on the whole thing before it gets nominated. GamerPro64 00:37, 2 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
So one major issue, besides this possibly needing a copyedit, is that reference 64 links to another Wikipedia page. That is a no-no and a different link would need to replace it. If there isn't any it would have to be pulled. GamerPro64 23:06, 3 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
So overall I think you give nominating the article a shot for Good Article unless you want someone to copyedit the page. GamerPro64 15:11, 4 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Here is the Instructions to nominate. Let me know when the review begins and I can help out if needed. GamerPro64 03:15, 5 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honnêamise you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Morgan695 -- Morgan695 (talk) 15:40, 23 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The article Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honnêamise you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honnêamise for comments about the article. Well done! If the article has not already appeared on the main page as a "Did you know" item, or as a bold link under "In the News" or in the "On This Day" prose section, you can nominate it within the next seven days to appear in DYK. Bolded names with dates listed at the bottom of the "On This Day" column do not affect DYK eligibility. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Morgan695 -- Morgan695 (talk) 17:41, 26 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Great job here. If you want to advance this for a Featured Article nomination I would say getting a Peer Review first would be the first step. And also a Did You Know nomination would be a good thing to do as well. GamerPro64 18:19, 26 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honnêamise

[edit]

On 27 November 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honnêamise, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that years before their Neon Genesis Evangelion series became famous, Gainax's first anime, Royal Space Force, was marketed in Japan by staging a Hollywood premiere? You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honnêamise), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
