We talked a while back when I was young and naive and thought I could edit Wikipedia to my hearts content and get all my studies done, which hasn't turned out to be successful (in that I haven't edited not that I've failed), but I remember you as a prominent figure in the Wikiproject Perth scene. Sorry if this isn't the place to go, or if you're not interested, but I've worked excessively on the page for Point Walter and I believe it could get to Good Article status. However, I've never nominated anything for good article before, and I wanted to check some things off with someone familiar with the subject and the process, which I imagine you are for both. I have a several issues beforehand for the article which I'm not sure need to be addressed before nomination:
I had a bit of a read of this policy, and basically found that it's preferable for information to be listed in prose. However, in the geography section, there is a brief list which I don't know if the information contained would be contained in prose.
There are two sources that may raise issues, as of writing one of these is listed as source 20. It is a YouTube video, however, it is an official Melville City Council video from the official channel. The other source which I imagine will be more problematic is listed as source 22 as of writing this, and is by what appears to be a music reviewing subsidiary of Junkee, which I'm not 100% on in terms of reliability. However, it should be assessed as a standalone source, as Junkee was founded in 2013 and the article was published in 2007, so it appears Junkee bought the website 6 years later.
2d) "it contains no copyright violations nor plagarism"
The text in the geography section is highly similar to the source's text. I attempted to change up the wording but I found it difficult to keep the wording concise while maintaining all the relevant information.
It is possible for me to go into a section on conservation, pulling parts from the flora and fauna section about pests and endangered species, and the erosion section, as well as including other information on weed management. However, that could be too in detail, which leads me into 3b
I am slightly worried some of the information in the history section being perceived as too detailed, as I found it all interesting while researching, and despite my best efforts to cut information (such as about all the members of the Caporn family and the heritage listing of buildings etcetera), I feel like I may have gone too deep into it.
Things that aren't actually part of the nomination
Other issues I have with the article include: this website which is a source used expresses confusion over whether the state government purchased the site in 1907 or 1895. As later in the article it refers to it as 1907, I wrote that in the Wiki article, but should I specify that there is confusion?
There is a section in the page which says: "Point Walter is notable for the sandbar or spit that extends over 1 km into the river, sections of which are often submerged under high water." A spit is a different geographical entity from a sandbar, and it is called a spit in some sources and a sandbar in others. Since I couldn't get a geological survey of the land I just wrote that, which could be perceived as problematic. How would you address this?
I may have taken inline sources a bit too far, listing 2 sources 4 times in the text, and 1 source 5 times. I'm not really sure around policies around this.
Now we move onto the image section: modern photographs in the article are pretty trash (low quality), except for that nice panorama. The page image is on a noticeable tilt, and the last picture is very grainy. I am going down tomorrow to take better ones, but I won't be getting any from the other side of the river because that's a trek. According to the copyright section on the image from 1924, photographs "taken prior to 1 January 1955" are out of their copyright, which makes up most of the photographs on Trove. However, our article on Australian copyright confused me, because it makes it out that it has nothing to do with the date of the photo being taken, instead that it's all about when the author dies. Idk, and I don't really want to upload photos that could be in copyright without affirmation I'm in the right. To get some nice photos in the article, I'm trying to get in a nice collage of the birds which nest on the sandbank, so take that into account when you look at the image quality. I asked on the help desk here how I would go about doing that.

As to the edit war in the Western New Guinea page: Davidelit reverted a couple of sentences I had added based on a lack of references. Fair enough. Now that I understand how to encode new references, I have undone the suppressions by Davidelit, edited the text and added two reliable references.
As to the POV issue: I am not aware of academic work that contradicts the two references that I have added.

We have Ngaanyatjarra. It's just my guess, but they appear to correspond to the alternative name Tindale supplies for the Nana, i.e. Ngan:adjara (1974 p.249)
Tindale for the Warburton Ranges area has Ngadadjara, which I assumed is what is now written as Ngaatjatjarra. We don't have an article on these.
D'ya reckon it's okay for me to make the otherwise (speciously?) WP:OR inference that Tindale's Ngadadjara are what we now spell out as the Ngaatjatjarra, and create a page with that data under the latter name? Do you usually merge things of this type, since I believe we're talking about the same ship in two different places. You'll note one of the Commons categories has a list of names as a header intact. Hello, JarrahTree. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
