License tagging for File:Noanaesthesia.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Noanaesthesia.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 03:05, 29 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Recreation of deleted material

[edit]

Thanks As you can see from my recent contributions (e.g. Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Last Rites (Megadeth EP)), I'm on this one. Thanks. I hope this user will slow down and take the time to read the policies and guidelines instead of charging ahead ignoring them. I know I've had my scrapes with the rules before, but I straightened up and flew right and I actually like working on Wikipedia. He could, too if he'd give it a shot. Thanks for the heads-up. —Justin (koavf)TCM20:13, 26 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

re: Hook in Mouth

[edit]

Hmm, it seems that you were correct concerning Hook in Mouth as a single. I re-checked my references, and it seems that SFSGSW only had 4 singles. So I altered Hook in Mouth back into a song. Thanks for the heads up!

Also, Rust in Peace has been completely re-written for it to meet GA quality. I'm currently proof-reading it thoroughly but it could use a peer review, if you have the time. Bruce Campbell (talk) 01:17, 30 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Psychopathy Red redirect

[edit]

The reason why "Psychopathy Red" was redirected is because it did not meet WP:NSONGS. The same goes for all other uncreated Slayer song articles. PLUS wouldn't you love to see Slayer become a good topic??? The progress is currently 24 out of 29 articles GA or higher (not including the recent addition of "Hate Worldwide"). I'm currently working on it (see here). You can ALSO see the progress of GT below:

But anyways, always assure that your articles meet the WP:NSONGS guidelines. CrowzRSA 03:36, 30 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well, you could merge it to the singles section of World Painted Blood, since that section is already short. But if you do, make sure you don't add anything redundant… CrowzRSA 03:56, 30 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

re: Edit

[edit]

My edit had a clear edit summary. And a valid one. Please leave your personal opinions out before reverting and issuing useless templates. Wikipedia is based on WP:V. Not your opinion. Whitesnake have no glam metal in the audio catalogue. One fashion faux pas in one music video does not warrant a label which is intended to describe musical style. Not choice of trouser fabric. Hope that clears things up for you. 198.164.219.128 (talk) 05:21, 9 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits are based on your opinions. Its commonly associated with glam metal, like it or not. I personally could give a rat's behind, either way. I was simply reverting unsourced changes. Your opinion means nothing, unless you can source it, which you have not done. And you need to stop clearing your talk page whenever anyone says something you disagree with--L1A1 FAL (talk) 05:29, 9 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Demo albums

[edit]

WP:MUSIC Demos can be notable, but generally aren't. They are basically subject to the same criteria as any other topic: are there reliable, third-party sources that cover it? —Justin (koavf)TCM23:16, 16 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect Cowboys from Hell: The Demos should probably be redirected and if any useful material can be found to cite, then information about this demo album can be incorporated into Cowboys from Hell. If sources can't be found, then the redirect can be deleted as well. I say go for it. —Justin (koavf)TCM00:08, 18 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:Emotional.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

The C-4 may be a submachine gun, but is still the first known firearm to use a dual feed device, which did end up on machine guns and autocannons. The device is actualy in the weapon as the magazine has 2 stacks. Ose\fio 22:41PM, 10/06/2011 (UTC)

Hi there. In you WP:CSD#A10 rationale you said that there was nothing that couldn't be included in the M1911 pistol article. Mercenaries/military contractors issue

[edit]

I'm frankly not sure. I wasn't the one who added that citation originally. My guess is someone was looking for reliable sources claiming the NTC employs mercenaries, and they added the first article from a credible source they could find without reading it. It doesn't seem to have much bearing on the discussion at all, as it just reports that some British military brass like the idea, so I would support its removal from the infobox. -Kudzu1 (talk) 18:40, 6 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Review

[edit]

You are misinformed. As a reviewer, I am meant to review the article and decide if it is GA-worthy. I don't know here you got the idea that a GA reviewer is a copy-editor, who fixes all the issues. Usually, when an article is pretty thorough, reviewers post an outline of all issues. However, unfortunately, the article you nominated was very under-prepared and would not have been passed or reviewed by anyone. If you would like, I would gladly re-review once you have -redone the article.--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 18:48, 3 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hey again. I appreciate you reaching out to me for peace. I agree to everything, however, please leave the assessment page open for a little. I really want you to see what other editors have to say (I have strong faith they will not side with your opinion). I honestly want it to prove to you that my intentions were not dismissive, but that the article was indeed under-prepared. Do not worry, by tomorrow someone will have commented. Then, by all means close it and let's move on :)--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 04:38, 4 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, sounds good. I just want you yourself to receive feedback from other editors, so you'll believe me. Take care!--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 04:46, 4 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Question on a review for Thirteen

[edit]

I'm not familiar with it either, and I have to agree that it does seem like a self-published blog (judging by the site's header I wouldn't be surprised if it's run by the band Murdock). Also, their archive only seems to have 34 reviews in it, so it seems unlikely. If it is the site of an Irish magazine then they really need better quality control; they missed out the "h" in Iced Earth and don't seem to be able to write a proper English sentence (e.g. "Finnish doom / melodic death metallers returns with another fine sad album… "). If is really is a "well known and noteworthy Irish metal webzine" then they should be able to prove it. I certainly can't find any mention of it anywhere. Incidentally, the site appears to be hosted in the US, although that's not necessarily an indication that it isn't run from Ireland. Alphathon /'æɫfə.θɒn/ (talk) 15:44, 29 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Long time no see...

[edit]

Pretty amazing work on Thirteen (Megadeth album). Are you still interested in getting that album to GA? Because if you are I'd be willing to help sort it out. After listening to it I really got into a Deth mood again and wanted to help out. Bruce Campbell (talk) 00:56, 4 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Well, the references all look good, which to me is always the main hindrance when making an article because those always give me the most trouble. So the most important thing is there.

Other than that, it needs an improved lead section (no issue there), some paragraphs need to be fixed and the song section needs to be changed into a composition section or something, and I could upload some audio samples if needed. Are you going to wait a month or so for all that information to be available and then fix up the article then, or fix it up now while you wait? Bruce Campbell (talk) 15:13, 5 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Also, I have a very morbid fascination with the Lulu article, which you appear to be the top contributor on. It really needs a lead section, a composition section (especially since the composition is such a large reason for it's reception) and the reception section needs a small overhaul because it violates the 10 only rule with review templates. Do you mind if I tinker around with the article a bit? You can revert any of my edits if you don't like them. Bruce Campbell (talk) 16:53, 5 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

On the Lulu article, I added a lead, changed some things up a bit, fixed up the reception section, added an audio sample and did some revisions here and there, not 100% sure about the references though. Bruce Campbell (talk) 21:35, 5 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You have full permission to change whatever you want on it, I was just toying around with it. lol Bruce Campbell (talk) 22:06, 5 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Seeking an opinion

[edit]

I wouldn't be against it. I haven't given either of them a good look over (with regard to the similarities I mean), so can't really say. I'd say out of the two I'd favour a merge (which would result in a redirect anyway), even if that merge is only to retain the infobox or whatever. There is a third option though - splitting the Public Enemy No. 1 info from the Thirteen article. Again, I'd have to give them a proper looking over before I could really say either way, but in principle I think that might be a better option.

Cheers for the Barnstar by the way.

Alphathon /'æɫfə.θɒn/ (talk) 21:09, 14 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

As a side note, both version of the info read like they're glossing over details somewhat (like they've been whittled down to the bare minimum), so it's certainly possible that more could be added. Alphathon /'æɫfə.θɒn/ (talk) 21:19, 14 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

1999 and 2000 Demo

[edit]

I have removed the PRODS from both articles, as they were not eligible based on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/1999 Demo, they will have to go to AfD to be deleted.--kelapstick(bainuu) 04:32, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

And now your AFD nomination is completely fouled up -- an old AFD is appearing on the log page, and your edit history doesn't show a current one being created. Hullaballoo Wolfowitz (talk) 01:16, 30 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You know, if you just read the directions at WP:AFD, you'd learn how to do it correctly. It's also not helpful to leave the wrong AFD discussion in the log indefinitely; once you saw it was messed up, you should have removed it. Hullaballoo Wolfowitz (talk) 01:27, 30 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Replied to question on my talk page. --kelapstick(bainuu) 01:35, 30 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Just replace the AFD templates on the articles with {{subst:afx}}, then start the deletion discussion manually, then manually transclude it to WP:AFD. This is how you had to do it before Twinkle :D --kelapstick(bainuu) 01:41, 30 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Part of the reason it is messed up is likely because the original deletion discussion for 2000 Demo is actually a redirect to 1999 Demo's discussion, so the page exists, but no discussion took place at it.--kelapstick(bainuu) 01:44, 30 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You still haven't transcluded the discussions to the main AfD page.--kelapstick(bainuu) 05:58, 30 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It's like wiki linking, except you use {{xxx}} instead. Go to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Log/2012 March 30, edit it, and add the two pages to the top of the list as I showed. Once you go to edit you will see some examples. Hope this helps, because I'm going to bed. --kelapstick(bainuu) 13:51, 30 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
