A tag has been placed on File:Africanhoneybeeflight.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. --Bloonstdfan360 / talk / contribs 00:56, 1 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for November 9[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Polistes dominula, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Antennae, Lek and Petiole (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

GA nomination[edit]

Hi LibbyWard, I'm sorry that your GA nominations have been failed (I was looking forward to following them through). In case you don't know, good articles are reviewed against the WP:GACR, which specify six criteria good articles are assessed against, including citations. Thanks for your work on these articles and bringing them up to their current standard, I'd encourage you to renominate when the issues have been assessed. When this is done, drop me a message on my talk page and I'd be happy to take the review. If you need any other help with regard to wikipedia, please drop me a message. If you're interested in collaboration, you may be interested in participating in a Wikiproject such as WikiProject Microbiology. I'm a member of Wikiproject Medicine, a group of interested editors who try to improve the quality of medicine-related articles. Kind regards, LT910001 (talk) 07:14, 12 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Also have a look at other GAs to determine what is required to pass. Best Doc James (talk · contribs · email) (if I write on your page reply on mine) 13:02, 12 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome[edit]

Hello, LibbyWard and welcome to Wikipedia! It appears you are participating in a class project. If you haven't done so already, we encourage you to go through our training for students.

Go through our online training for students.

If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Please also read this helpful advice for students.

Before you create an article, make sure you understand what kind of articles are accepted here. Remember: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and while many topics are encyclopedic, some things are not.

Your instructor or professor may wish to set up a course page, if your class doesn't already have one. It is highly recommended that you place this text: {{Educational assignment}} on the talk page of any articles you are working on as part of your Wikipedia-related course assignment. This will let other editors know this article is a subject of an educational assignment and aid your communication with them.

We hope you like it here and encourage you to stay even after your assignment is finished! Valfontis (talk) 23:45, 2 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Giulio Maria Pasinetti Headshot.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Giulio Maria Pasinetti Headshot.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 19:53, 18 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. License tagging for File:Giulio maria pasinetti headshot.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Giulio maria pasinetti headshot.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 17:06, 16 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright violations at Giulio Maria Pasinetti[edit]

I've reverted all your recent additions to this article as they are copyright violations. You can not take text you find on websites somewhere and paste them here word for word or slightly changed. I note much of your text was taken directly from http://www.mountsinai.org/profiles/giulio-m-pasinetti. Please do not do this. Further, the text was significantly non-neutral in tone. We require neutral content here. If you have questions about this, please ask. Thanks, --Hammersoft (talk) 17:42, 16 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
