Rupkatha Noy

[edit]

Your edits in Rupkatha Noy have been reverted. Please do not change image unnecessarily and a section on "director" or his comments in promotional tone should not be added in the article. Someone with name Mita Pal (you?) has sent me a friend request in my Facebook profile. I sent a message, which might be seen at the "Other" message folder. If you have any question or comment you can post at my talk page clicking here. Best --TitoDutta 10:02, 20 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:POSTER OF RUPKATHA NOY.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:POSTER OF RUPKATHA NOY.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 10:05, 20 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not write or add to an article about yourself, as you apparently did at Mita Pal. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Please stop continuing to remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Mita Pal, without resolving the problem that the template refers to. Note about references

Please do not use Linked in, Twitter or Facebook as references, those are not reliable references. Wgolf (talk) 21:42, 17 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please review MOS:SURNAME

[edit]

It is not appropriate in an encyclopedia to refer to an article subject by her (or his) given name. I am not familiar with Bengali naming conventions and so I don't want to jump to the conclusion that "Pal" is the subject's family name and "Mita" the subject's given name. If, however, "Pal" is the subject's family name, all references to the subject as merely "Mita" should be corrected according to Wikipedia's manual of style regarding this issue to "Pal." This is an encyclopedia, not a blog, and as this article is being considered for deletion, any attempt to improve its encyclopedic character will be beneficial. Responding to your email

[edit]

I apparently received an email through Wikipedia's server from you. I don't use my private email for Wikipedia (I'm not sure how the email got through) and so I am responding to you here: I don't really know what you're asking me. I am not personally able to delete an article, because I'm not an administrator. I assume you understand that once any content is contributed to Wikipedia, the community is free to edit it. If you can let me know more clearly what you want to know, or what you want me to do, please feel free to respond to me on User_talk:Julietdeltalima, at the bottom of the page in a new section (there is a "New section" tab at the top of the screen). Otherwise I am likely not to find your message. Thanks in advance. Julietdeltalima (talk) 15:58, 19 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Zackmann08. Thank you for your recent contributions to Mayurakshi. I noticed that when you added the image to the infobox, you added it as a thumbnail. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks! Control copyright icon Hello MITA PAL, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to NIdeas Creations and Productions Pvt Ltd have been removed, as they appear to have added copyrighted material without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are PD or compatibly licensed) it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions, the help desk or the Teahouse before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps in Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate. See also Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. WaggersTALK 12:49, 2 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on NIdeas Creations and Productions Pvt Ltd, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Hello, MITA PAL. Thank you for helping to build Wikipedia-- the world's largest free content encyclopedia. I'm sorry, but  NIdeas Creations and Productions Pvt Ltd has been deleted as meeting WP:CSD#G11. "This applies to pages that are exclusively promotional and would need to be fundamentally rewritten to conform with Wikipedia:NOTFORPROMOTION." These must be rewritten from scratch from "reliable, third party sources unconnected to the subject." See WP:RS.

Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Users who do so may be blocked from editing. Promotional content is vigorously deleted. For more information on content that may be perceived as promotional, click User:Dlohcierekim/promo.

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia-- subjects must meet notability guidelines with reliable sources providing verifiable information. That generally means someone unconnected with the subject needs to have written a great deal about the subject. Please see Wikipedia:Citing sources . Template:cite has templates you can use in citing your sources. Place the template {{references}} at the bottom of the page, and references cited in the text will appear there.

A word of advice

[edit]

I noticed you did not get much of a reply at Wikipedia:Teahouse, so I took a look at your problem with NIdeas Creations and Productions Pvt Ltd

For a page to be approved it must be written with neutral words, complements or praise for NIdeas Creations will get the page deleted for promotional advertising. The page was deleted because of WP:Identifying blatant advertising, the writing must change to get approved, good luck. Dougmcdonell (talk) 06:24, 5 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Uronchondi moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Uronchondi, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hello, MITA PAL. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or draft page you started, Draft:Uronchondi.

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted.
