Jewish ghettos in Europe

[edit]

In the Poland section of the article, other wartime ghettos could also be included and discussed if only with a few brief sentences. Additionally, I think there should be some discussion of the resistance and uprisings that occured in the ghettos. Obviously there was the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising but there were also others and we have some Wikipedia articles on them. The tricky part may be how to deal with ghettos in what was pre-war Poland, but not post-war.

Check the articles in the category Jewish ghettos in occupied Poland and the two sub-categories (these could use some clean up and streamlining). Volunteer Marek (talk) 21:16, 18 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I plan to go through this article with a fine-toothed comb. By chance, are you a history major? Your article rings with that much professionalism.Hoops gza (talk) 01:06, 26 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your impressive article is now featured on Portal:Germany, please feel free to add more Germany-related DYK there, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:23, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Just a quick note, in your edit summary you stated that the article was a copyvio, that's incorrect, see the talk page. -- œ 07:59, 25 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thanks for the note. I read the disclosure in talk. However, the so called OTRS ticket can also be misleading, thus giving the impression that the information covered by it is bona-fide accurate and complete, which in this case it was not. It was disappointing for me to follow the link in reference section only to discover that omissions and oversimplifications originated at source and not in Wikipedia. The article had to be improved for style, accuracy and the logical progression of thought. A routine copy-paste job from www.ushmm.org didn’t change a thing. I take back the claim of unauthorized copyvio though. — Matalea (talk) 14:41, 25 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. Good job improving the article. -- œ 02:21, 26 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
