Information icon Hello, I'm Toddy1. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Salafi Movement without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry: I restored the removed content. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks!--Toddy1 (talk) 08:25, 11 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please add some reliable sources to back up the POV statements in the paragraph you added to the article on the Salafi Movement. If you do not have time to do this, there could be a problem. Have a nice day.--Toddy1 (talk) 22:30, 14 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Salafi Movement, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Some of the content you removed had a citation to a reliable source. Other content you removed included maintenance tags necessary to improve Wikipedia's quality. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you.--Toddy1 (talk) 17:50, 15 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did at Salafi Movement, you may be blocked from editing. Thank you.--Toddy1 (talk) 21:35, 15 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Bhiwandi, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Aurangabad (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Information icon Your recent edit] to the article on the Salafi movement has been reverted because the text of citation you gave did not back up the statement you were using it as a citation for.--Toddy1 (talk) 02:49, 17 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. The edit you made to the article on the Salafi movementat 07:55, 17 July 2013‎ is the same as the one you made 09:24, 16 July 2013‎. The citation you gave did not contain the information - so it was a fake citation.--Toddy1 (talk) 18:55, 17 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Sonam Kapoor, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. The content you removed, contains four reliable sources; whilst the content you replaced it with, contains zero sources, whatsoever. The content has not been duplicated, but rather re-worded and elaborated on, within the sections (and per WP:LEAD); and your fabrication claim doesn't appear to be valid, considering the content you removed actually had four sources. So either create a discussion on the talk page (here) or stop edit warring. Thank you, ‎ MelbourneStartalk 11:21, 18 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Espen Sandberg with friend and director Joachim Ronning.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Espen Sandberg with friend and director Joachim Ronning.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. LGA talkedits 10:56, 24 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Espen sandberg with friend Joachim Ronning.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Espen sandberg with friend Joachim Ronning.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Psychonaut (talk) 17:49, 5 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

POV pushing

[edit]

Sir, it might by a good idea to review a few Wikipedia guidelines; WP:NPOV and WP:IRS are quite informative. On the articles about Ashraf Ali Thanwi, Ahmed Raza Khan Barelvi and Barelvi, you have been deleting sourced content, adding unsourced content, inserting a lot of contentious language and citing sources which do not support the claims made. Wikipedia is not a battleground between different religious sects, and these articles have all had problems with these issues in the past. Please review the above links and try to take content disputes to the relevant talk pages first. MezzoMezzo (talk) 04:18, 3 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sir, all you have done on the articles in question is reverted back to the same contentious edits without participating in any discussion. You launched a number of personal attacks in your edit summaries and you are even edit warring not only with me, but with others now across several articles. You have made no attempts to actually discuss the edits first.
Look, this has been a habitual problem on articles related to Barelvism. Whatever your goal is, you're not going to achieve it unless you can cooperate politely with your fellow editors. In addition to the above links, WP:NOTBATTLEGROUND is highly pertinent here. Please read the links before acting further, they will help clarify why other editors are reverting your changes and thus make your editing here less of a headache. MezzoMezzo (talk) 04:06, 4 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Ashraf Ali Thanwi. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Jim1138 (talk) 06:19, 4 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

MohaddesTop, I'm not sure what exactly you think you're doing. You're being reverted by multiple users across multiple pages - even if edit warring were allowed here, you'll lose simply by going against what the majority of your colleagues want. That's in addition to the fact that, technically, you're violating the relevant rules about editing cordially.
Instead of banging your head against a wall, please participate in the discussions at the relevant talk pages. They've already been started; we just need you to contribute and explain your position. If you don't, then you're not going to get what you want by just reverting and refusing to respond to all the queries other editors are posing to you, I can guarantee that. MezzoMezzo (talk) 03:44, 7 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Barelvi

[edit]

Assalamu alaykum. I notice that you are edit-warring on the Barelvi page. It's frustrating to see you ignore other editors' well-intended advice. You'll probably ignore mine too. But I'll give it all the same. The problem is that you seek to make potentially contentious claims with only weak sources as references. This won't do. If you discuss on the article's talk page what you are trying to get at, other editors may even help you by finding sources or improving your English. Please take your proposed edits to the talk page. Yours sincerely, George Custer's Sabre (talk) 04:42, 5 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion

You have been blocked from editing for a period of one week for edit warring at Ahmed Raza Khan Barelvi, Barelvi, and Ashraf Ali Thanwi. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Bhiwandi, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Thomas.W talk 18:08, 20 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Bhiwandi. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Warning for repeated addition of totally unsourced data about religious affiliation. Thomas.W talk 06:06, 21 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
