NT election
[edit]Where are the revised primary % from and what is the new counted/turnout %? Timeshift (talk) 07:30, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
Greetings, Mrodowicz, and thank you for editing the Yitzhak Gruenbaum page. I was surprised to see your revision of the Polish version of his surname spelled with an umlaut. I didn't know that character is used in Polish. Anything I've read about him, to the best of my recollection, uses the Germanic spelling, which in English-language typography substitutes "ue" for "ü". The Jewish population's surnames in Poland seemed pretty well split between Polish and Germanic orthography; if Polish, I would have expected "Grynbojm." Are we "on the same page here"? Please advise. -- Thanks, Deborahjay (talk) 16:46, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
AE <-> BE spelling
[edit]Just so you did not know: liter is the correct AE spelling.
In case you did know this: Do not change AE spelling to BE spelling (and vice versa) for no apparent reason. Imagine the endless reverts we would have on Wikipedia and how the history would be cluttered with effectively identical version, if we allowed this.
The article in question does not clearly have a prefered spelling version, because the topic is neutral to AE/ BE preferences. However, it appears that it is written in AE consistently, which makes your edit even more unnecessary. So, I reverted you. Tomeasy T C 18:22, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
We are now dividing our members into active, semi-active (have not edited a Poland-related article in more then three months) and inactive (have not edited at all for three months or more). You are active on Wikipedia but I see you've not edited any Poland-related articles in in many months; we are moving you to semi-active members category. Please consider participating in our project activities again in the future, we would love to work more closely with you again! --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 18:04, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
Drake-Brockman and the National Alliance
[edit]It's great to see other people using these subpages! Regarding Drake-Brockman - as I understand it, the National Alliance was a WA state-based merger of the Country Party and the DLP, which dissolved after a few years. Since it was essentially the state version of the Country Party (there were a few Lower House MPs too), I haven't included it - all its members were again describing themselves as Country Party by the next election. I see it as rather like the present situation with the Country Liberal Party in the NT, or, indeed, the LNP in Queensland. The Nationals had been electing senators on separate tickets for quite a while. Frickeg (talk) 00:01, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

Candidates pages
[edit]My ideal preference would be for highlighting too, but I think we may have to settle for something else. I can just see too many technical problems, especially when we get into seats with two Coalition candidates or seats with winners from the "Others" column, which will become all the more frequent as we go further back. Asterisks are a good option, but they're not very graphical and it would be nice to make it really clear. I think perhaps we should take this to WT:AUP to get further input. Frickeg (talk) 11:32, 18 September 2010 (UTC)
- Hmm. That might possibly work, but I don't know how it will look. I'll do some sandboxing and see how it goes. (Might be a little while ... various other things calling as well!) Frickeg (talk) 23:38, 18 September 2010 (UTC)
- Sandboxing here. Let me know what you think. Frickeg (talk) 03:16, 19 September 2010 (UTC)
Hi Mrodowicz! I quite like your system, but I have some reservations too. Firstly, it's going to be much, much, much more complicated to format it that way - and implementing it on past candidate pages would be a truly enormous job. I'm actually kind of OK with the current system, since we have to use asterisks anyway for lower house seats with three-cornered contests (both Lib and Nat) and independents. Monitor. WikiProject Poland Newsletter: Issue 1 (April 2011)
[edit]
WikiProject Poland Newsletter • April 2011
For our freedom and yours Welcome to our first issue of WikiProject Poland newsletter, the Monitor (named after the first Polish newspaper). Our Project has been operational since 1 June, 2005, and also serves as the Poland-related Wikipedia notice board. I highly recommend watchlisting the Wikipedia:WikiProject Poland page, so you can be aware of the ongoing discussions. We hope you will join us in them, if you haven't done so already! Unlike many other WikiProjects, we are quite active; in this year alone about 40 threads have been started on our discussion page, and we do a pretty good job at answering all issues raised. In addition to a lively encyclopedic, Poland-related, English-language discussion forum, we have numerous useful tools that can be of use to you - and that you could help us maintain and develop:
This is not all; on our page you can find a list of useful templates (including userboxes), awards and other tools! With all that said, how about you join our discussions at WT:POLAND? Surely, there must be something you could help others with, or perhaps you are in need of assistance yourself? You have received this newsletter because you are listed as a [member link] at WikiProject Poland. • Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 21:11, 25 April 2011 (UTC) |

Polish parliamentary election, 2011
[edit]You are now repeatedly adding unsourced additons, and though they may have been BOLD, per BRD you still do not discuss it. Then it appears as vandalism and is hard to assume AGF...discuss it on talk and gain consensus first. btw- BOTH versions are unsourced and you added more than just the parties section
- This means you deliberately add OR and thats not going to cut itLihaas (talk) 09:29, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification
[edit]Hi, this message is to let you know about disambiguation links you've recently created. A link to a disambiguation page is almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. For more information, see the FAQ or drop a line at the DPL WikiProject.

Bulimba
[edit]Labor has not "conceded defeat" in Bulimba; its candidate has asked for a recount, which is pending, and we should acknowledge that. -Rrius (talk) 09:59, 6 April 2012 (UTC)
Sorry about that, but given that Farmer was saying she was behind by 85 votes, which could be misinterpreted as conceding defeat, you really should have provided a source, or at least explicitly said the recount was complete. -Rrius (talk) 10:24, 6 April 2012 (UTC)

- Oh yes, enough for today. The amount of two-faced duplicity together with the mass of unlamented detritus floating to the surface in this particular batch is simply too depressing. I'm absolutely sure there are notable people in there I haven't linked, but that's a job for another day (and possibly someone else; we'll see how I go). Frickeg (talk) 14:04, 16 August 2013 (UTC)

Bob LeChevalier moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Bob LeChevalier, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 11:37, 15 January 2023 (UTC)
