The article Egidio Torre Cantú has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article. The nominator also raised the following concern:

biographies of living people must include reliable sources.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Fer Montiel.jpg[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Fer Montiel.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 16:06, 11 November 2010 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. (ESkog)(Talk) 16:06, 11 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright issues[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions to the page El Dasa, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition was deleted under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text—which means allowing other people to modify it—then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later, and the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License." You may also e-mail or mail the Foundation to release the content. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more.

While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright concerns very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here. You can also leave a message on my talk page. Kuru (talk) 14:19, 18 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Same issue for El Vato. Please do not use material copied directly from your sources. Also note that several of your references were not acceptable as WP:RS; you may want to research the quality of your sources. Kuru (talk) 14:23, 18 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of County Auditor[edit]

Hello Plramirez3000,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged County Auditor for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source, probably infringing copyright.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited County auditor, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Floyd County (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Ways to improve Alejandro Palacio[edit]

Hello, Plramirez3000,

Thanks for creating Alejandro Palacio! I edit here too, under the username Doomsdayer520 and it's nice to meet you :-)

I wanted to let you know that I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:-

Thank you for your new article on Alejandro Palacio. Note that more evidence is needed for his notability, especially any professional notice he may have received for "Rafael Orozco, el ídolo".

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Doomsdayer520}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Good Economics for Hard Times moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Good Economics for Hard Times, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.

I moved this to draft because 1) half the article was a blurb about the authors rather than about the book, 2) the overview was copied word-for-word from a review of it, and 3) other than that brief paragraph in one paper, there wasn't any other indication of notability. Please add significant coverage of the book from reliable sources before submitting again. creffett (talk) 00:03, 18 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Catrina Music Fest[edit]

Hello Plramirez3000,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Catrina Music Fest for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Recent edit reversion[edit]

In this edit here, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.

I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.S Philbrick(Talk) 18:52, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Don Fort[edit]

Hi, and thanks for editing here! You might have noticed that I converted Don Fort (an article you created) into a redirect. This is because he doesn't appear to meet our general notability guideline, which requires signifigant coverage in independent, reliable, sources. He also doesn't appear to meet our politician guidelines, as he isn't a cabinet-level person, and wasn't elected to his position. If you disagree with that assessment, or have any questions, feel free to reply to me here (just use the code {{u|Eddie891}} and sign your reply with ~~~~), on my talk page, or at the teahouse (the last one is for general editing help. Best wishes, and I hope you continue editing here! Eddie891 Talk Work 20:14, 16 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Eddie891, thanks for the note. I disagree, I believe the officeholder of a federal law enforcement agency should have, or fall under general notability. For example, the article Regina Lombardo, ATF Director, is even shorter than Don Fort's and she isn't a cabinet-level person, and wasn't elected to this position, so I'm assuming she falls under the general notability guidelines. Another similar and good example is Donald W. Washington, U.S. Marshals Director. Their position is pretty similar to Don Fort's (head's of a federal law enforcement agency) and the articles are even shorter in length. One of my sources was Forbes, another was the actual IRS page and I'm sure I could find other reliable sources to cite on his biography. I don't see how it would hurt to have the article in Wikipedia, when there are seemingly other articles with similar characteristics active on the site. Thanks again! Pedroluismx (talk) 20:38, 16 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sure thing! I've self-reverted, which will allow other users to discuss the notability. I may nominate the article for deletion, which only serves to get more opinions about his notability for a stand-alone article. Best wishes, Eddie891 Talk Work 20:43, 16 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Spanish citation tags do not work on the English Wiki[edit]

I noticed that in your recently created article El Candidato (TV series), you did not translate the citation tags in the references you presumably copied over from the Spanish article. Be advised that citation tags are localized to each language and are therefore not interchangeably compatible, leading to a litany of error messages that has to be fixed by other editors. I have already fixed these errors in the previously mentioned article. However, if you need help further acquainting yourself with the English version of the Spanish {{cita web}}, please read Template:Cite_web.

A tag has been placed on File:Former Chief Richard Weber.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement of https://www.nytimes.com/2015/05/30/sports/soccer/more-indictments-expected-in-fifa-case-irs-official-says.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
