If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Peter Atsu Ahianyo, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. A tag has been placed on Peter Atsu Ahianyo requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

Stop icon This is your only warning; if you insert a spam link to Wikipedia again, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. Further, adding nbarepublic is a blatant WP:BLP violation and if you continue you will be blocked and the site blacklisted. PICKLEDICAE🥒 13:29, 25 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, fine. But you think Wikipedia readers should not know anything about the funeral of Bill Russell?
You think Wikipedia readers should not know about Liz Cambage's retirement from the NBA?
The information i added to those pages are equally important, so why removed them?
I still couldn't fathom why you removed those important contributions.
I will urge you to go and add those information yourself since you reversed mine. Pteph Lon (talk) 07:38, 26 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I have seen the reason given for my indefinite block and I want to say that it's true I was engaged in link spamming or promotion unintentionally. However, I stopped doing that when my attention was drawn to it. I also read the rules thoroughly and got to know that what I was doing is not accepted. I stopped for months now, and so I believe that my block is no longer necessary. I am therefore, pleading to you that my account be unblocked so I can be able to edit again. Thank you Pteph Lon (talk) 10:28, 23 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

This unblock request has been declined due to your history of vandalism and/or disruption to this encyclopedia. However, we are willing to give you another chance provided that you can earn back the trust of the Wikipedia community. To be unblocked you need to demonstrate and confirm that you are willing and able to contribute positively to Wikipedia. You can do this by:

Once you have decided on the article you will propose improvements to:

    1. Click the Edit tab at the top of that article;
    2. Copy the portion of the prose from that article that you will be proposing changes to. However:
      • do not copy the "infobox" from the start of the article (i.e., markup like this: ...),
      • do not copy any image placement code (i.e., markup like this: ),
      • do not copy the page's categories from the bottom of the page (i.e., markup like this: ),
      • and do not copy the stub tag (if there) from the bottom of the page (i.e., markup like this: Foo stub);
    3. Click edit at your talk page and paste at the bottom under a new section header (like this: == Article title ==) the copied content but do not save yet;
    4. Place your cursor in the edit summary box and paste there an edit summary in the following form which specifies the name of the article you copied from and links to it (this is required for mandatory copyright attribution): "Copied content from exact Name of Article; see that article's history for attribution."
    5. You can now save the page. However, if your edits will include any citations to reliable sources (which they should), add the following template to the end of your prose: reflist-talk. Once you have added the template, click Publish changes.
  • Now, edit that content. Propose significant and well researched improvements by editing the selected portion of the article. Please note that we are not looking for basic typo corrections, or small unreferenced additions; your edits should be substantial, and reflect relevant policies.
  • When you are done with your work, re-request unblocking using unblock and an administrator will review your proposed edits.
    • If we (including the original blocking admin) are convinced that your proposed edits will hopefully improve Wikipedia as an encyclopedia, you will be unblocked.

If you need help while working with your proposed edits, you may add "your question here ~~~~" to your talk page. Thank you. 331dot (talk) 23:56, 24 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Pteph Lon: Why are you copying article content to this talk page [1] ? There is no reason for you to be doing this. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 22:12, 27 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Drm310, please, i have never copied any article contents here. I have only added well researched contents to the article as i have been instructed by 331dot to do. I hope you have seen the instructions he gave. I did just that by choosing the article and improving it. The article was not enough so i chose it to work on.

Drm310, this is the original article [2] which i picked from this index of articles needing improvement to improve. An admin asked me to do this to prove my Wiki editing capability. So, I did not copy the content and put it on my talk page. It was rather the improved version.

While your unblock request is being considered by administrators, you should not be making any other edits at all, other than responding to questions that the administrators might ask you. Your unblock will be reviewed whenever administrators have time, which might be days or even weeks. You have no choice but to wait. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 04:02, 28 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

NinjaRobotPirate, please, my account is still blocked despite the fact that i have done what admins instructed that i do. First, i have read the rules very well this time, and have realized that what i was doing was actually a grave mistake which i shouldn't have done in the first place. I have realized my mistakes and will never go on that path again.

Other admins like Drm310 have looked into the matter, and instructed me to pick an article from this index of articles needing improvement to edit to prove my editing capabilities. I did this well and the admin later said my account was blocked as a result of error.

Please, NinjaRobotPirate, I am appealing to you to consider unblocking the account so i can edit again. I have learnt my lessons now and i can assure you that nothing will make me spam here again. I will NEVER do that again. Please, consider unblocking the account. I have learnt my lesson. Give me another chance to put to work the lessons i have learnt from he whole thing.

Thank you! Pteph Lon (talk) 10:14, 16 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Good evening, 331dot. Still my blocking admin keeps ignoring my unblock request despite all the plea and doing of that i was asked to do. Please, since you are also an admin, can you please just unblock the account for me...I have contributed meaningfully to wikipedia and that my shortfall should not be used to treat me this way. I apologized and promised to to commit such violations again, so i still do not understand why the blocking admin keeps ignoring my plea. Please 331dot, help me and unblock the account for me. Someone will review your request. My suggestion in the meantime is that you edit another Wikimedia project on which you are not blocked(scroll to the bottom of the Main Page for a list), good edits on another project would count in your favor. 331dot (talk) 09:15, 19 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ok snr, i will follow this new directive. Thank you very much Pteph Lon (talk) 09:38, 19 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have reviewed this block, previous requests, and the editor's contributions before their block. While Pteph Lon does a well-enough job showing their editing skills in their suggestions for the 1989 Ethiopian coup d'état attempt, I want to ensure that they understand all of the reasons that they were blocked so that they are not blocked again. Please answer the questions below to help administrators make this determination:

  1. Why was it inappropriate to add nbarepublic to articles after you were asked to stop?
  2. Why were your responses on this talk page and at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/StayPlain inappropriate, and how could you have approached the situation differently?
  3. What is Wikipedia's policy on external links, and where should they be placed in articles? (Hint: WP:EL).

Feel free to ping me if you have any questions. Z1720 (talk) 18:37, 23 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Z1720, thank you so much for having time to review my unblock request.
I so much understand why my account is blocked. Yes, it is blocked because of advertisement. I got to know and accept this whole-heartedly after spending hours to study the rules, so i will never dispute the reason behind my block.
Also, you have asked three questions, and i have answered them accordingly.
  1. It was actually inappropriate to do what i did. It is true that i had been warned in the past but continued to spam. Continuing to add the links to articles means i blatantly disregarded the rules that govern Wiki. And doing so is inappropriate.
  2. Most of my responses at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/StayPlain were inappropriate, and i apologize for that. I was a bit furious then because i initially could not fathom why the article was deleted with 'unreliable sources' and the app's 'age' cited as reasons. But after carefully going through the works, i got to realize that some of the sources were press releases.I should have responded to the issue more patiently and with more civility as Wikipedia demands (WP:CIVIL)
  3. I have read quite a lot about Wikipedia external links. Though i understood the rules governing the EL, i would like to talk about just three which i see to be very important.
  • External links that will be used to better an article should put on the talk page for deliberation.
  • Linking to highly authoritative sites and not blogs or personal blog posts written by persons who do not meet Wiki's notability criteria.
  • The absence or small number of EL on an article page does not mean there must be EL at all cost.
And the place to put external links is the 'external link session' which can be found at the bottom of every article
Z1720, to err is human. So please, as i have regretted my past actions and asked for another chance, may you convince other Admins so my account be unblocked. Thank you very much for showing interest in my case. I really appreciate that. Pteph Lon (talk) 00:39, 24 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Pteph Lon, if you are unblocked, it will be with the assurance from you that you understand how to edit and collaborate with others civilly, and will be given very few, if any, warnings if this behaviour repeats, per WP:ROPE. Please indicate below if you understand this. @NinjaRobotPirate: as the blocking admin, do you have any concerns about this editor being unblocked? Z1720 (talk) 02:08, 24 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see where this editor has disclosed who paid him to spam these websites, which is mandatory. And, sorry, but I don't believe that people spam websites out of charity. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 03:23, 24 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
NinjaRobotPirate, Please, I have NEVER been paid either in kind or cash to do what i did. What i was doing was purely out of ignorance. But sincerely speaking, I have NEVER received anything from owners or editors of the website. I am an avid follower of basketball, and that website is one of those that i do visit often to read their articles. Pteph Lon (talk) 08:25, 24 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Pteph Lon, why did you continue to use that website to add information after you were warned not to? Why did you not seek out other sources? Z1720 (talk) 14:30, 24 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Snr, please that amounts to the blatant disregard of the rules i talked about last midnight. And that is something i regret so much. Forgetfulness coupled with ignorance and disregard of rules was what happened. Though i use other sources, i should have just completely stopped referencing the site. Pteph Lon (talk) 17:02, 24 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, i have understood everything. And i will strictly go by the rules. Pteph Lon (talk) 08:21, 24 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Nobody inserts external links in article prose to "nbarepublic.com" to talk about a moon of Jupiter or "dailyinsuranceinfo.com" to talk about iOS unless they've been paid to do so. However, here's something even more interesting. You created Peter Atsu Ahianyo, and Peter Atsu Ahianyo wrote this article about NBA Republic on some kind of spam blog or content mill. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 21:09, 24 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Sir, sincerely speaking, i have never received anything cent to do those things. My headache at the moment is that you are not believing whatever i am saying. But what i am saying is nothing but the truth. If i tell you anything aside this, then that would a lie. I am born and raised in a home where truth is all that we know.
Fact is i received no monies.
I created that article (Peter Atsu A) when i was learning to edit and create new articles. But now i know those things should be done at user talk pages first before anything else. Those wrongs i have done are all things done ignorantly. As i have realized now that Wiki is never a playground; i won't do such things again, Sir. Please, just forgive me and give me another chance. Monitor my edits and you will never regret unblocking me. I have learnt my lessons now. Pteph Lon (talk) 22:02, 24 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Good afternoon, Admins. Please, i am here again to humbly request for the unblocking of my account. I have done all that i was directed to do. Most admins, per their responses were satisfied with my responses and adherence to directives. I am begging you all to give me another chance to edit Wikipedia, a platform we all love. It has been more three months since my account was blocked for reasons i accepted and accordingly apologized for. Such things will never happen again as i did them out of ignorance. I am very much aware of all the rules now, and therefore i can assure you that i will never repeat my mistakes again. My last unblock request was declined and the admin cited "closing as stale" as the only reason. I hope and beg that you consider my sincere plea this time.
