Welcome to my User Talk page :)

While anyone is welcome to post here, please note that I will consider your intentions & longevity when addressing things. However, here's a couple things up front:

- Wikipedia is NOT about winning. Make a statement; hell, make a case. Be passionate; be ambivolent; I don't care. Just say something, debate what you think is interesting to do so, and if it doesn't stick - DON'T get all peeved. Why? Because it just isn't worth the emotional investment. Wikipedia is NOT about winning, so DGAF away! Uhhh!

- Tone. Don't come here and be condescending and/or correcting. If you have a polite and well-considered suggestion or comment, it is welcome. Be NICE. I don't really care how long you have existed, or how many edits you have made, or what groups you belong to, etc. Please don't come here with the expectation that you are only going to see/consider your side of the story, because I am taking my time to see yours.

- Hubris. If you have it, please don't leave it here.

- Kindness & Demeanor. If you have both developed and you want to talk, then you are welcome here.

Posts may be removed from my User space when I no longer deem them of personal value and/or when they have been reviewed. (Thank you everyone who has anything to say here, but really nothing around us is permanent anyway).

Note: I was a record promoter for Warner Bros - Elektra/Asylum Records (Entertainment) for YEARS...so debating me over what is and is not an idea associated with promotion is not only challenging to overcome, but probably a waste of your effort. I can see and smell promotion from MILES distant... You may not agree, but then again you weren't a professional bullshitter for years, now were you?

Have a great day!

Wiki Med

[edit]

Hi

I'm contacting you because, as a participant at Wikiproject Medicine, you may be interested in a new non-profit organization we're forming at m:WikiMed. Our purpose is to help improve the range and quality of free online medical content, and we'll be working with like-minded organizations, such as the World Health Organization, professional and scholarly societies, medical schools, governments and NGOs - including Translators Without Borders.

Hope to see you there! Anthonyhcole (talk) 04:39, 20 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The Wikipedia Library now offering accounts from Cochrane Collaboration (sign up!)

[edit]

The Wikipedia Library gets Wikipedia editors free access to reliable sources that are behind paywalls. Because you are signed on as a medical editor, I thought you'd want to know about our most recent donation from Cochrane Collaboration.

  • Cochrane Collaboration is an independent medical nonprofit organization that conducts systematic reviews of randomized controlled trials of health-care interventions, which it then publishes in the Cochrane Library.
  • Cochrane has generously agreed to give free, full-access accounts to 100 medical editors. Individual access would otherwise cost between $300 and $800 per account.
  • If you are still active as a medical editor, come and sign up :)

Greetings Recent Changes Patrollers!

This is a one-time-only message to inform you about technical proposals related to Recent Changes Patrol in the 2016 Community Wishlist Survey that I think you may be interested in reviewing and perhaps even voting for:

  1. Adjust number of entries and days at Last unpatrolled
  2. Editor-focused central editing dashboard
  3. "Hide trusted users" checkbox option on watchlists and related/recent changes (RC) pages
  4. Real-Time Recent Changes App for Android
  5. Shortcut for patrollers to last changes list

Further, there are more than 20 proposals related to Watchlists in general that you may be interested in reviewing. (and over 260 proposals in all, across many aspects of wikis)

Thank you for your consideration. Please note that voting for proposals continues through December 12, 2016.

Note: You received this message because you have transcluded {{User wikipedia/RC Patrol}} (user box) on your user page. Since this message is "one-time-only" there is no opt out for future mailings.

Best regards, SteviethemanDelivered: 01:12, 8 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
