Sydney Bus Routes deletion
Hi Arnzy, you recently contributed to the deletion review about the Sydney bus routes. We're requesting an undeletion [[1]] and I'd appreciate your help in getting this decision overturned. I don't think there was a consensus on deletion. (JROBBO 06:09, 16 August 2006 (UTC))
Bus/Train Station Box
Just something really minor, I wonder if "disabled access" can be renamed to either "mobility impared access" or "wheelchair access" like what the QR CityTrain and busway network map shows?

A RfA thank you from en:User:Xyrael
I'd like to thank you Arnzy for either supporting, opposing, commenting, nominating, reading, editing, promoting and/or anything else that you may have done for my successful request for adminship (I've broken the one thousand sysop barrier!); I'm thanking you for getting involved, and for this I am very grateful. I hope to be able to serve Wikipedia more effectively with my new tools and that we can continue to build our free encyclopedia, for knowledge is power, but only wisdom is liberty. Please do feel free to get in touch if you feel you can improve me in any way; I will be glad to listen to all comments. Again, thanks 8) —Xyrael / 12:12, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
JPD's RfA
Thanks, Arnzy, for your support at my RfA, which finished with a tally of 94/1/0. I hope I live up to the confidence you have shown in me in my activities as an administrator. JPD (talk) 15:52, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
How to pronounce "Caloundra"?
How is "Caloundra" pronounced? I'd like to suggest that a note indicating the pronunciation should be added to the page. (IMHO, the pronunciation is not obvious to someone not from the area.) Richwales 07:56, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
- Just to be 100% sure I understand: When you said it's pronounced "Cah-lown-dra", does the second syllable rhyme with "downtown"? And is the stress on this syllable? So, in IPA, it would be [kə'laʊndrə]? Richwales 16:43, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
Contacting somebody
I live on the Gold Coast. There are a several references to my father's writings and designs, and some to mine on Wikipedia. I wrote PRIORITY ONE Together We Can Beat Global Warming. The text is available on line at our web site: or Google global warming and Priority One or Yeomans, and it will come up. I am not competent on Wikipedia and would like to meet somebody on the Gold Coast who could help with doing some major entry changes and also in creating some long articles. One in particular being "Ending Global Warming". I am at 55923017, my email is aj at yeomansplow dot com dot au With thanks Allan Yeomans. Yeomansplowchris1 02:11, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
Hi
I'm sorry if I've done something to offend you. Fact is I'm a Queenslander too and I think that you are a fantastic editor. May be we can catch up for a beer. --WikiCats 13:54, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
I find it interesting that you were the first voter to this AFD and you choose to delete commenting fancruft, but then (as of now) 11 more users voted keep. This tells me either of two things:
- You either didn't bother to look at the article and blindly voted based on the nominators opinion or..
- Your misconception of fancruft is vastly off.
Either way, please be careful reagrding AFD, which has the potential to actually do more damage to the encyclopedia than good (if no one else was to comment on it). Thanks! — Moe 04:18, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
RfA thanks

Re: CityTrain template
Apologies to the template thing, I was try to come up with something and hit the wrong button. :( matt-(my page-leave me a message) 11:38, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
Thanks a lot for merging the infoboxes. About Milton to Ipswich, I understand your concern, but I don't have any other ideas. So I agree to go to Ipswich/Rosewood unless anything better comes up. matt-(my page-leave me a message) 12:19, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
Corinda via South Brisbane Line VS Tennyson Line and Ipswich / Rosewood
Isn't Corinda via South Brisbane more like a description of the line more than a name? I know Tennyson would give much confusion.
And about Ipswich / Rosewood. What if I modify the infobox template a bit so it can be like
Inbound | Train Navigation | Outbound |
terminus | Rosewood Line (Peak hours only) |
Roma Street |
The reason with it is because I am wondering if Shorncliffe line should be included in Roma Street, South Brisbane and South Bank stations as it goes there during weekends, so I can put something similar beneath as well.
matt-(my page-leave me a message) 13:20, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
- Okay, I'd say stick to just "Ipswich line" and put notes in the line pages and also the QR CityTrain Stations template for both lines that occasional trains run to/from Rosewood. (There's a Rosewood train from City during late night every night isn't it?)matt-(my page-leave me a message) 15:01, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
- I'll start changing to Ipswich line with a note then. matt-(my page-leave me a message) 15:26, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
CityTrain box
Just a comment on your latest additions to the CityTrain template. I think they are very confusing. The box under the station picture that has something like "Brisbane South" could easily be thought to be the line on which the station is located or something else, unless you're familiar with the network itself. I suggest that it either have an explanation of what it is, or you change it back. Wouldn't the TransLink region be better served as one of the infobox attributes (ie. along with suburb, street, etc.)? Can I also make a comment that a lot of the station pages are looking a little cluttered with infoboxes on everything - I'd put the platform info as part of the article, rather than in a box. It's up to you, but I'm commenting on the perspective of a non-CityTrain user and it is confusing... I just don't want you to end up with people claiming it is "cruft" or something like that. Muns Article Deletion
I don't understand why everyone hates the article so much. It has close personal value to me but I also believe it holds a lot of water on a large scale. Many people can relate to this trend that until now has not had a specific title. I also intend to refine the article even moreso than I have done, so that it is presented in the most professional manner possible. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.125.55.199 (talk • contribs)

The event I mentioned in Delta's page about the joke by a Sydney Radio presenter did actually happen.
Hi Arnzy, I'm writing to you in regard to the Tantra Kriya Yoga page. It seems that it has been pegged foor deletion because it has been construed as potential advertising. I can assure you it is nothing more than the first draught of a complete instruction to an important meditation technique. This may take some time so please be patient. Brisbane
No worries. :) And yeah, to an outsider looking at Brisbane it's all a bit strange - over here the City of Perth is a few blocks and we have about 20 LGAs in the same general sort of geographic space, but they're all classed as Perth suburbs. Orderinchaos78 08:04, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

Footy Club
Hi, I am trying to introduce a club for rugby league supporters that will be more than just a wikiproject and help to encourage rugby league participation and article improvement. I have written down some of my thoughts about what wikileaguies should attempt to do and would be interested if you, like other rugby league supporters, would be willing to be involved on some level.
