Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:PlayStation 6
Please do not create hoaxes on Wikipedia, as you did at Draft:PlayStation 6. Doing so is considered to be vandalism and is prohibited. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia—and then to correct them if possible. If you would like to make test edits, please use the sandbox. Under section G3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, the page has been nominated for deletion. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Better than Wikispecies
Wikipedia articles are supposed to be better than a Wikispecies entry or Wikidata item. They should contain information on the range, and the common name, for example. As you can see, your minimalist stubs are upsetting people. Please consider fleshing out the stubs you have created. Abductive (reasoning) 03:33, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
- and where can you point to people getting upset? Starzoner (talk) 13:06, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
- The guy nominating your stubs for speedy deletion above? The editor who thanked me for making this thread? Various people remonstrating with you here on this talk page? Abductive (reasoning) 00:24, 23 February 2021 (UTC)
- I dont see anything in the thanks log directly "thanking you", unless there is some "private" convo you are trying to "reference". on and the person above me was directly reprimanded by the admin for the speedy deletion tags. Starzoner (talk) 00:46, 23 February 2021 (UTC)
- They were not reprimanded, their speedy was declined. We've all been through this; at first when I started making plant stubs, I was making errors and the more experienced editors pointed them out to me. So I modified my stub formats. What would be awesome is if you would make more complete stubs. Maybe use Template:Create plant stub? Abductive (reasoning) 00:57, 23 February 2021 (UTC)
- ya know, you could have just said <quote>What would be awesome is if you would make more complete stubs</quote>, that is without the blatant lie you started off with. The person Kochas was reprimanded on his talk following not one but TWO admins who told him to improve.
Listen, I barely know you since we did not really interact before, so lets start over, ok? Starzoner (talk) 22:25, 23 February 2021 (UTC)

Oh, that was in regards to your creation of drafts in sandbox before moving to drafts. Rusted AutoParts 21:19, 25 February 2021 (UTC)
- My core umbridge with the editor is the placeholding. They start it, then leave it for long periods of time until they're ready. I wouldn't care so much if it wasn't so clear it was a measure to be first. I like making drafts to unwind and research topics so yeah it's bugging me on that front too, but credit is secondary to my problem with the blatant desire to be first. Rusted AutoParts 21:09, 26 February 2021 (UTC)
- Is it not block evasion to hop over to another language Wiki? Rusted AutoParts 00:46, 27 February 2021 (UTC)
- I come here to clarify a couple of things, first of all you are totally unaware of the background of what happened in the Spanish Wikipedia, so coming to judge me here for mistakes I made in another Wikipedia seems to me at least an absurd persecution. Secondly, there are no drafts on Wikipedia in Spanish, so it is much more difficult to create articles about future films and that is why several of my articles translated from here were deleted. I invite you both to report to the administrators and you will see that your claim is absurd. I don't know under what excuse they will go because as far as I know I am not breaching any policy here. I find it even ridiculous that Rusted AutoParts seeks to ally itself with a user like Starzoner who has repeatedly demonstrated his interest in "being the first", creating drafts like Draft: Bumblebee 2 (film), Draft: Fractalverse or Draft: Scarlet Classic that don't even have references or the proper format. Bruno Rene Vargas (talk) 01:09, 27 February 2021 (UTC)
- @Bruno Rene Vargas: Whataboutism aside, I’m not “allying” with anyone, there isn’t a conspiracy against you. There is reasonable concern about your practices considering the ban I obviously don’t know the full context. All I have wanted from the get go is for you to stop rushing to placehold a draft location if you’re not going to work on it right away. It comes off as wanting to be first and you take the opportunity away from others to create it and put the work in them and there. If you just don’t placehold there would be zero problems here. That’s it. Rusted AutoParts 01:35, 27 February 2021 (UTC)
- @Rusted AutoParts: you are falling into the planning fallacy because you often have the conviction that the faster things are done, the better they will be evaluated. The subjective result of the planning fallacy is a constant feeling of frustration. Also a variable dose of permanent stress. Failure to comply induces feelings of tension and discomfort. I recommend you do what I do when I see that another user has already created an article before me, I simply go and put that information that already works in the other user's article, I send to delete my draft if I have already created it and that's it, zero stress. In addition, both of them say they feel frustrated to see that another user has already created the draft, that at the end of the day only shows that you are the ones who always want to "be the first". Bruno Rene Vargas (talk) 02:23, 27 February 2021 (UTC)
- I can't speak for Starzoner. I can only speak for myself and at risk at sounding like a broken record the irritation is when you start a draft and then just idle it. "Planning fallacy" just sounds scapegoatish. Just don't placehold draft locations anymore. Please. Rusted AutoParts 03:06, 27 February 2021 (UTC)

Bruno Rene Vargas (talk) 02:23, 27 February 2021 (UTC)
Seriously, I think there needs there need to be something changed. The citation of planning fallacy doesn’t really need to apply. For you Bruno, You just need to relax about editing. You are working yourself up to believe myself as the enemy, and want a scapegoat. Seriously, there is no need to continuously fight a crusade to ensure your edits are first. The urge for you to pump out creations of edits, as given by the timestamps of the news and your first edits, is just working overtime and really will not help you. A while ago, an admin told you to not worry too much about it so hard, yet you continue like you are personally attacked and robbed. Just drop it.
If you do insist so, please do put more effort than just a placeholder stuff. I’ve been told of this before, and I have done other in the meantime. Just add content instead of rushing out content. Just add more to your drafts, or don’t edit at all. What do you gain by being first? Starzoner (talk) 03:32, 27 February 2021 (UTC)
- Starzoner, I really don't know how to take seriously the recommendation and the question you ask me. You come to tell me that you don't win anything by being first but you are the one who has drafts like Draft: Firefly (upcoming TV series). @Rusted AutoParts: you also have to admit that you do the same as me because even though you "add content faster", you do it but through micro-edits (adding one or two words), I take a while more than you but my editions have more content, that is, I expand an article in two or three editions while you do it but with several micro editions, one after another. Bruno Rene Vargas (talk) 03:55, 27 February 2021 (UTC)
- That's not placeholding though, you can see me update every minute when fleshing out the page. You can also see a core reason I space out my edits, there's been too many times I encountered edit conflicts after lengthy time writing the page up. I don't placehold. Please stop with the whataboutism. Rusted AutoParts 05:03, 27 February 2021 (UTC)

You complain so much. 2x already you went to the admin's noticeboard, and 2x they failed to do something you wanted. These threads are about you. You have caused problems with people, and in this instance, you should just consider listening to them. If you stopped creating pages just 1 minute after it becomes public, then you would get less criticism. It is not a competition, and editing is not a paid profession. Starzoner (talk) 13:08, 27 February 2021 (UTC)
- At no time did I write messages on your talk pages, on the contrary, you are the ones who come to my talk page or directly talk behind my back without even notifying me. Since they both seem to have time to investigate my background and crashes I also did the same and what a surprise that it takes me to see this history of blocks of Rusted AutoParts, a user who left this type of comments about my blocking without knowing absolutely nothing of the case. At least I was blocked by editing conflicts, never by a lack of respect like this comment. And here I leave you this link to refresh your memory of what you were doing a few months ago with Rusted AutoParts and now you are doing with me. Then you have the face to come and tell me that nothing is gained by being first when it is you who, through all kinds of tricks, intends to carry out your mission of being the first editor of the articles. And I do this so that they see that we have all made mistakes in the past but that does not mean that a persecution of those people should be started. I am aware that Rusted AutoParts is currently doing an enviable job writing good articles and that it no longer makes the mistakes of the past but that is not why I am going to shut up when things are claimed from me that are unfounded for me. Recent changes
- Wikis using the Growth team tools can now show the name of a newcomer's mentor anywhere through a magic word. This can be used for welcome messages or userboxes.
- A new version of the VideoCutTool is now available. It enables cropping, trimming, audio disabling, and rotating video content. It is being created as part of the developer outreach programs.
Problems
- There was a problem with the job queue. This meant some functions did not save changes and mass messages were delayed. This did not affect wiki edits. [7]
- Some editors may not be logged in to their accounts automatically in the latest versions of Firefox and Safari. [8]
Changes later this week
- The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 2 March. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 3 March. It will be on all wikis from 4 March (calendar).

Moving pages
Hello, Starzoner,
Please do not play these moving pages games like you did with Draft:Pet Sematary prequel and Draft:Untitled Pet Sematary prequel. This is especially not fair if you are the author of one draft and you manipulate another editor's draft.
Please ask an uninvolved admin or another editor to do a history merge or find some way to resolve having two drafts on a similar subject. Doing this to an editor who is already irritated with your behavior only causes more aggravation and problems that can result in another visit to WP:ANI. Please do not do this again. Liz Read! Talk! 20:36, 2 March 2021 (UTC)
- ok. What should be done then? its been rejected 2x because it was deemed not a history merge. This was rejected despite the fact that the user uses the "I created it first" excuse to redirect my page and copy paste all the content.Starzoner (talk) 20:41, 2 March 2021 (UTC)

Wikiproject plants assessment
Hello @Starzoner:, you are busy, I wish they were more than stubs, but they do convey basic info to the punters. But a quibble, you have been using a strange template to start Wikiproject plants assessment box on the talk page, and it don't work. i.e the one that starts with "WP". - @Liz: There would be no problem if he just expanded it but I do not understand why Starzoner has to make those unnecessary moves to pages created blank many months ago. This can be used for both the code name and expected start date. - Wikis that are part of the desktop improvements project can now use a new search function. The desktop improvements and the new search will come to more wikis later. You can also test it early.
- Editors who put up banners or change site-wide JavaScript code should use the client error graph to see that their changes has not caused problems. You can read more. [9]

- The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 16 March. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 17 March. It will be on all wikis from 18 March (calendar).
Future changes
- You can add a newline or carriage return character to a custom signature if you use a template. There is a proposal to not allow them in the future. This is because they can cause formatting problems. [10][11]
- You will be able to read but not edit 12 wikis for a short period of time on 23 March at 06:00 (UTC). This could take 30 minutes but will probably be much faster.
- You can use Quarry for SQL queries to the Wiki Replicas. Cross-database
JOINS
will no longer work from 23 March. There will be a new field to specify the database to connect to. If you think this affects you and you need help you can post on Phabricator or on Wikitech. PAWS and other ways to do SQL queries to the Wiki Replicas will be affected later. [12]

- Flagged revisions will no longer have multiple tags like "tone" or "depth". It will also only have one tier. This was changed because very few wikis used these features and they make the tool difficult to maintain. [14][15]
- Gadgets and user scripts can access variables about the current page in JavaScript. In 2015 this was moved from
wg*
tomw.config
.wg*
will soon no longer work. [16]
