Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a message letting you know that one or more of your recent edits to List of programs broadcast by WGN America has been undone by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

ABC Family Programming

[edit]

Please refrain from making nonconstructive edits to Wikipedia like you did at List of programs broadcast by ABC Family. Removing The Fresh Prince of Bel Air from the syndicated and moving it to former programming before it stops airing violates the fact that Wikipedia is not a Crystalball. Thank you -- Mmddyy28 (Contact Me Here) 21:07, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

That 70's Show

[edit]

This is your final warning. Please stop changing That 70's Show from current programming to former programming on List of programs broadcast by ABC Family. Doing this violates the fact that Wikipedia is not a Crystalball. Too many of these edits can result in your being blocked from editing. Thank you. -- Mmddyy28 (Contact Me Here) 18:51, 7 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Electricburst1996. Your recent edit to the page List of programs broadcast by Comedy Central appears to have added incorrect information, so I have removed it for now. If you believe the information was correct, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. The version of The Tick described in the article is the 1994 animated series. Please do not alter the dates again. Thank you. ElectricBurst(Electron firings)(Zaps) 07:16, 3 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of comedians, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Jim Jefferies. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Information icon Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. Nymf (talk) 11:06, 11 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Jared Fogle. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted or removed.

  • If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor then please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
  • If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive, until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively could result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. -- WV 02:43, 20 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing, as you did at Bill Cosby. Your edits have been reverted or removed.

Do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively may result in your being blocked from editing. NeilN talk to me 03:09, 20 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Information icon Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on JoAnna Garcia ‎ , but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Materialscientist (talk) 23:31, 5 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Concerns regarding edits

[edit]

I see above that another editor above noted long ago that edits should only be marked as minor if they are simply cosmetic changes (e.g. fixing a typo, formatting), yet you continue to mark the majority of your edits as minor even when you are adding or changing content. Please don't continue to do so. It is misleading to others and can be disruptive if it continues despite warnings. Also, please ensure you are including reliable sources when adding material to biography articles. Thank you, --Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 16:30, 26 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Note that per long-standing consensus, IMDb does not meet the reliable sourcing criteria for the inclusion of personal information in articles and your edits at Tom Everett Scott have been reverted accordingly. You can read more about the reasons for this here, here and here.--Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 17:17, 9 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unsourced content. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. DMacks (talk) 19:38, 16 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Block notice

[edit]
Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for persistent addition of unsourced content to biography articles despite multiple warnings and requests to use reliable sources. Also of note, but not directly related to the block, is that you have repeatedly been requested to stop marking your edits as minor when they are not. The fact that you continue to do so and have not responded to any concerns (or edited any talk page ever) just adds to the overall disruption. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 23:15, 9 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week for the continued addition of unsourced and poorly sourced personal information to biography articles. While blocked, please ensure you read through what constitutes a reliable source. You continue to add and change information in articles without including a reliable source despite previous blocks and warnings. Also, you are still marking all of your edits as minor when they are not despite also being informed that you should not be doing so. Although this is not the reason for the block, it is another example of disruption. Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 17:28, 20 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

[edit]

Hello, Wikister98. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 month for persistently adding unsourced or poorly sourced content. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. • I cannot understand why you are incapable of abiding by our policies regarding quality sourcing for biographies, but here we are again. You have not amended your behaviour a single iota since your last block expired and are still making the same unsourced edits, all incorrectly marked as minor. If this continues once the block expires your next block will likely be indefinite.--Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 21:55, 14 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Tom Cruise, without citing a reliable source using an inline citation that clearly supports the material. The burden is on the person wishing to keep in the material to meet these requirements, as a necessary (but not always sufficient) condition. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 03:47, 17 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Survey Invite

[edit]

I'm working on a study of political motivations and how they effect editing. I'd like to ask you to take a survey. The survey should take 5 minutes. Your survey responses will be kept private. Our project is documented at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Research:Wikipedia_%2B_Politics.

Survey Link: http://uchicago.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_eXOHLbXwbpfYC1f?Q_DL=428IIjnoqfCepM1_eXOHLbXwbpfYC1f_MLRP_cH2qqrpJtwzyNRr&Q_CHL=gl

I am asking you to participate in this study because you are a frequent editor of pages on Wikipedia that are of political interest. We would like to learn about your experiences in dealing with editors of different political orientations.

Sincere thanks for your help! Porteclefs (talk) 20:00, 19 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
