I, CDanes23, request the undeletion of this Articles for creation submission deleted under CSD G13. Please restore the page as I intend to work on it. CDanes23 (talk) 22:02, 24 April 2015 (UTC)

  • Done - as an Articles for creation submission deleted under CSD G13, the page has been restored on request. Please edit the page to address the issues raised when it was declined, and re-submit it; "Articles for creation" is not for the indefinite hosting of material found to be unsuitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 22:27, 24 April 2015 (UTC)

This was a subpage of a user who was permanently blocked for some reason in which I wasn't involved. However the information on this page was important to a project in which he and I were both involved and I would like to recover it for personal use (and the use of anybody else interested in the project). Given that the user is banned I'm not sure how it would work but if needs must I would be happy for it to be restored in my namespace rather than his. -Keresaspa (talk) 00:30, 15 April 2015 (UTC)

Note: Fixed report to point to correct title; remember that all page titles on Wikipedia are case-sensitive. I will note, however, that G5 deletions will not be overturned here the best that can be done, possibly, is for an admin to send you the text of the page at time of deletion in the Bossanoven userspace (The Hoops gza userspace page was moved to the Bossanoven one). —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 18:15, 15 April 2015 (UTC)
An admin to send me the text would be perfect. I'm not bothered about the actual page being restored just having access to the contents and I didn't know how to request that. I can find a home for the contents on my sandbox or somewhere, no problem. Keresaspa (talk) 20:15, 16 April 2015 (UTC)

The University of Bologna Law Review

Enter your reasoning here and then click the "Save page" button below -SocratesAndLaw (talk) 12:16, 25 April 2015 (UTC)

The University of Bologna Law Review is a newborn student-run law review officially sponsored by the Department of Legal Studies of the University of Bologna. Our official website is still under construction. Our firs issue will be published on Spring 2016. I wrote the article under a merely objective point of view. I did not write that the University of Bologna Law Review will be the most important European student-run law review. No personal judgments, no personal predictions. Only facts. We would be glad to add our official domain as soon as possibile.

SocratesAndLaw

@SocratesAndLaw: Not done. This page is for articles that i) have already been deleted; and ii) to request undeleton (or userfication) where the deletion was on an uncontroversial basis and so can be undeleted on an uncontroversial basis. That's a bit of an oversimplification but what this means is that since the article has not been deleted, this page has no applicability whatsoever, and because the article is being considered for deletion on the merits at a deletion discussion (at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The University of Bologna Law Review), even if your request was after it was already deleted through that debate, this page would have no no applicability whatsoever. If you wish to avoid deletion, I suggest you go to the deletion debate I linked and provide policy/guideline-based reasons for why the article should be kept, maybe after first reading arguments to avoid in deletion discussions. Better yet, go to the article and expand it by writing prose that you cite to multiple, reliable, secondary sources that are entirely independent of The University of Bologna Law Review and discuss it in detail. After you've done that, go the the debate and explain that the basis for the nomination has been addressed.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 12:36, 25 April 2015 (UTC)

The page created is for a known Los Angeles Musician and Performance Artist. It was cleared once posted, then "Hadal" deleted it. I DO NOT understand how a user/volunteer who specializes in gems can make a decision regarding the validity of said musician? And secondly; there are several legitimate references noted; and that was only a small bit of the material, you can see the large amount of press coverage here: http://www.genevajacuzzi.com/_/Press_clipping_2014.html This has been one heavy reason why people don't like your system. It is a dictatorship, without heart. Rules and guidelines created to help people that get in the way of what they first intended = Bureaucracy! -DonTheJuan (talk) 23:16, 25 April 2015 (UTC)

Note: The page was deleted under speedy deletion criterion A7, indicating an article that did not explain or prove why the subject was notable. A7 deletions are not overturned here; try contacting the deleting administrator (Hadal (talk · contribs)) instead. We MUST be hardnosed about sources, especially when it comes to biographies, since a poorly-sourced biography can invite a libel lawsuit from the subject. Lastly, an A7 is generally more about the article's content as opposed to the sources (though the sources, or lack of quality thereof, are contributory). Basically, an A7 deletion indicates that the article did not explain why the subject was notable. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 03:23, 26 April 2015 (UTC)

2014 AFC Challenge Cup Group A

I am requesting this and 2014 AFC Challenge Cup Group B, and 2014 AFC Challenge Cup knockout stage as well. I have found enough sources to make a detailed match summary so the articles will pass WP:NOTSTATS, which was the main reason they were deleted in the deletion debate a year ago.

Here is a quick example for the Kyrgyzstan - Palestine game which was the first match of the tournament:

In the first match of the final edition of the AFC Challenge Cup was an even affair until the last minute of stoppage time when substitute Abdelhamid Abuhabib struck from a corner to win the game.[1] It was a rather even game till then with Palestine having the best chances, with Hilal Musa having a shot just go over in the last minute of the first half as well in the 50th minute when he was completely unmarked in front of goal but he couldn't direct his shot on target. Palestine had an excellent chance with 20 minutes remaining when Ashraf Nu'man played a perfect pass to Tamer Seyam but Pavel Matiash made a fine save to deny the forward.[2] Kyrgyzstan's best chance came in the first minute of the second half when naturalized striker David Tetteh got his head to a cross but it wasn't the best connection and straight at Ramzi Saleh.[3] Afterwards Palestinian coach Jamal Mahmoud praised his players for never giving up at what he called a very even game, while Kyrgyz coach Sergey Dvoryankov prmossied that the best had yet to be seen from his players and blamed the tropic humidity and heat for his player's performance.[4]

Hi, I wrote previously and that too was deleted and now I tried to be neutral in all possible ways. Please, tell me how I can get it proofread before I submit my article finally. Looking forward to your kind response, Imran. -Ialirajput (talk) 20:38, 29 April 2015 (UTC)

Hi Ialirajput. You can place {{subst:submit}} at the top of the article to submit it for review, but it will surely be rejected because (besides being only one sentence) it contains no references. We require that the topics of articles be notable by being the subject of substantive treatment in reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the topic. i.e., books published by major publishing houses, newspaper articles, magazine write-ups, treatment in peer-reviewed scholarly journals and websites that meet the same requirements as reputable print-based sources, etc. (the flip side is that the following sources are not useful to show notability: the topic's own website, its press releases published anywhere, Facebook, blogs, random websites, etc.) We also require sourcing to show that the information in articles is verifiable. The way to demonstrate this is by citing such sources. If they don't exist, Wikipedia should not have an article on the topic. Best regards--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 22:51, 29 April 2015 (UTC)

Locanda Locatelli

This was scheduled for automated PROD deletion on the grounds of being not notable. This is an internationally famous Michelin-starred restaurant, in the top one-half-of-one-percent of UK restaurants (158 UK restaurants have Michelin stars out of about 26500 restaurants in the UK). Try doing a news search for Locanda Locatelli and see how often it's mentioned in national media. -137.108.145.21 (talk) 16:20, 29 April 2015 (UTC)

Done You don't need to go into such detail because since prods are a form of uncontroversial deletion, we also undelete them uncontroversially (meaning you generally only need ask). Of course the issue is partly not whether it is or isn't notable but that that has not been demonstrated, because all we have is a very short stub with little sourcing (see Help:Referencing for beginners). Since you seem interested in this restaurant (or what else could have brought you here), why not signup (takes about 30 seconds, no, we require for no personal information and it's more anonymous than editing by your IP address), then roll up your sleeves and turn that nothing cipher of a page into an actual article?--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 22:59, 29 April 2015 (UTC)

Hello, I am a graduate student in chemistry and have used the page for platinum tetrafluoride for physical constants and structure. The person who deleted it, does not seem to have any chemistry backgroud, and an article should not be deleted because they deem it too short, or boring. -128.138.65.240 (talk) 14:44, 30 April 2015 (UTC)

It appears that the malformed request may have intended to refer to Platinum tetrafluoride (second word with a small t). -
Done - as a contested proposed deletion, the article has been restored on request. I will notify user Peridon (talk), who proposed it, and who may choose to nominate it at WP:Articles for deletion, which would start a debate lasting seven days, to which you would be welcome to contribute.
I'm afraid you will not have learned much from this page. As a graduate student, you should have access to much better sources: you can help the page by expanding it and, in particular, by adding references to comply with the Wikipedia:Verifiability policy. See, for instance, Silicon tetrafluoride or Xenon tetrafluoride for the sort of information such an article might contain. JohnCD (talk) 20:26, 30 April 2015 (UTC)

Note: This page was deleted under speedy deletion criterion G11, indicating an page that was irredeemably promotional or blatant advertising. Note that G11 deletions are more an issue with the tone of the page as opposed to its sources or formatting. As articles deleted under G11 need to be rewritten from scratch, they will not be undeleted here or anywhere else; try contacting the deleting administrator (Kevin Gorman (talk · contribs)) in order to be emailed a copy of the article as it stood at time of deletion. Still working on it -Thoren1 (talk) 18:24, 1 May 2015 (UTC)

@Thoren1: Declined pending further information. This was undeleted over six months ago with a pledge that it would be worked on, but no edits were made to improve the entry for resubmission. Articles for creation is not an indefinite hosting service for material found to be unsuitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia's article mainspace. We may be willing to restore it again, but only if you provide a definite assurance that you actually intend to work on it and provide a short description of what you intend to do to improve it to meet our policies and guidelines. Please advise.. JohnCD (talk) 19:51, 1 May 2015 (UTC)

GODAN

Please, a sysop tell me if this page was deleted as copyrights violation or promotional stuff? I received the OTRS permission for it -Willy Weazley 01:28, 2 May 2015 (UTC)

  • Not done @Willy Weazley: It looks like it was done for several reasons. First is that it was an WP:A7, which means that there was no valid assertion of notability for the association. Secondly there were issues of copyright violations. Third, the article was promotionally written. The copyvio issue has been resolved but there are still issues with notability and advertising. Even if you can fix the issue with notability, the promotional tone would still be a problem. This is why Wikipedia puts such a heavy emphasis on not using material taken from somewhere else. In most cases the content was written to promote a specific viewpoint, something that would be fine when it was originally published but would not be permitted on Wikipedia. What this means is that even though you have given Wikipedia permission to use the content, you still need to re-write it in order to make it fit the WP:NPOV guidelines/policies. Heck, even when the source material is neutrally written it's still highly recommended that you re-write the material because articles that are partially or entirely made up of copyrighted text are continually challenged. I remember one scenario where an article was neutrally written but people kept challenging the article as promotional and a copyright violation to where it just became easier to re-write it. I'm putting a huge emphasis on this because I want you to understand that it really is easier for you to just write the article from scratch, in your own words. In any case, since this was an A7 article we cannot restore this here. You can ask the deleting admin, DGG, if he would restore the content although the promotional prose might end up making it ineligible for restoration. If he does restore it, I'd recommend that it get restored to the draftspace at WP:AfC so you can work on re-writing the article and showing notability. Since there does seem to be a potential conflict of interest here, going through AfC may help with that end as well. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 04:32, 2 May 2015 (UTC)

Imago (Sports Management and Media Consultancy)

I'm requesting undeletion on behalf of User:Tamzidul.islam. Please restore that article to User:Tamzidul.islam/Imago Sports Management and Media Consultancy. His article has gotten deleted twice and I think the best course of action would be to allow him a space to work on that article so other editors can point out what's wrong with it without it getting deleted meanwhile. Tamzidul seems to be really confused about the whole process so I'm just going to make this request on his behalf instead of confusing him even more. -— Jeraphine Gryphon (talk) 12:10, 2 May 2015 (UTC)

@Jeraphine Gryphon: @Tamzidul.islam:  Not done. Sorry, you can ask the deleting admin, RHaworth if he is prepared to userfy this, but I am not - it was a G11 (advertising) deletion, and it is really too promotional: "innovative and effective media engagement solutions..." etc. Also, neither of the references even mentions the company - they are both about a cement company sponsoring or endorsing a cricketer. The cricketer is listed as a client, and presumably the company organised the sponsorship, but that says nothing about their notability, which requires showing references to "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." Significant means more than just listing-type mentions; reliable excludes Myspace, Facebook, blogs, places where anyone can post anything; independent excludes the subject's own website, affiliated ones and anything based on press releases. The test is, have people not connected with the company thought it significant enough to write substantial comment about?
An encyclopedia article should not be the company telling the world about itself, but a summary of what others say about it. There is excellent advice at User:Uncle G/On notability#Writing about subjects close to you:

"When writing about subjects that are close to you, don't use your own personal knowledge of the subject, and don't cite yourself, your web site, or the subject's web site. Instead, use what is written about the subject by other people, independently, as your sources. Cite those sources in your very first edit. If you don't have such sources, don't write."

If this is a new company, the author may have to accept that it is not (yet) notable enough to have an article. JohnCD (talk) 17:53, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
Okay, well, I just thought it would be easier to explain to him what's wrong with the article if the article was live. I'll link him to your response here (just in case, pings don't always seem to work). Also: I have not actually googled to search for additional sources, so I don't know if this company is actually notable or not. It might be, for all I know. — Jeraphine Gryphon (talk) 18:34, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
Suggest he starts with a clean sheet, reads WP:Your first article and WP:PEACOCK, and then uses the WP:Article wizard to guide him through the process, making a draft not posting an article directly. If he is connected with the company, he needs to read WP:COI and WP:PSCOI. JohnCD (talk) 19:40, 2 May 2015 (UTC)

I believe that my user page should not have been subjected to speedy deletion on the grounds that it is self-promotional. It was purely biographical, and did not contain anything that was in any way misleading, inaccurate or self-serving. I suggested to the Administration who deleted the page that I should at least have been able to "userfy" the page, but was not given this option. I believe that the page should not have been deleted, and certainly not via speedy deletion.Ncox (talk) 20:16, 4 May 2015 (UTC)

I requested that this user page be deleted as it was an inappropriate, exact copy of his autobiographical article Noel Cox. Theroadislong (talk) 20:30, 4 May 2015 (UTC)
I restored (for now). I disagree it was overly promotional, and more importantly a lot of these userspace deletions need to be weighed against the level of contributions to the encyclopedia a user has. With more than 5,000 so far, I'd say the user merits the courtesy of a discussion if nothing else. With that said, it is a partial copy of a mainspace article, and there's no realistic way to know if "Ncox" is indeed Noel Cox but that shouldn't matter anyway. Ncox would you be willing to trim your userpage? If not then Theroadislong or anyone else is welcome to nominate it for deletion. §FreeRangeFrogcroak 20:36, 4 May 2015 (UTC)

As I've just said on the contest deletion page, the page is not unambiguously promotional, because it is biographical. If it is felt that I have included too much information I would be very happy restrict the content to more overly Wikipedia related. There are sections in the user page that relate directly to the sorts of pages I have edited over the last few years that I have been an active editor, law, monarchy, academia, all feature in the pages - so I though (perhaps wrongly) that it was relevant to include a fair amount of information to show that I was qualified to make the Wikipedia edits that I have done.Ncox (talk) 20:41, 4 May 2015 (UTC)

@Ncox: If you could trim it a bit I think that would diminish the problem. The less overly detailed resume-like material and the more Wikipedia-related stuff, the better. There's also the concerns about the duplicated material from the article. §FreeRangeFrogcroak 20:54, 4 May 2015 (UTC)

Hanna Skandera

No reasoning given. -Graeme Bartlett (talk) 03:35, 5 May 2015 (UTC) | This is a very important and controversial public official here in New Mexico. I am a journalist writing an article that involves her, and was attempting to find some basic biographical info about her when I discovered the page had been deleted for this reason, which is completely inaccurate: "A7. No indication of importance (individuals, animals, organizations, web content, events)." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.119.165.13 (talk) 01:27, 5 May 2015 (UTC)

Not done The A7 deletion is based on what the article said rather than the true importance of the subject. The content was meerly "Hanna Skandera is the secretary-designate of the Public Education Department of New Mexico." and was written by Amaze7. So you can see no useful information. You are welcome to log on and recreate this saying something that indicates the importance of the person. Or you can stay as an IP and write at Draft:Hanna Skandera. • Not done - this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Funky Taurus, it cannot be undeleted through this process. However, if you believe that the outcome of the discussion did not reflect the consensus of the participants, or that significant new information has come to light since the article was deleted, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion, user Davewild (talk · contribs). After you do so, if your concerns are not addressed and you still seek undeletion, a request may be made at deletion review. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 04:32, 5 May 2015 (UTC)
