California's 78th State Assembly district is one of 80 California State Assembly districts. It is currently represented by Democrat Toni Atkins of San Diego.

District profile

The district takes in southern coastal San Diego County, including part of San Diego Bay and coastal San Diego. It takes in a variety of communities ranging from beachfront properties to universities to a military base to Downtown San Diego, stretching from Solana Beach to the Mexico–United States border.
