"My Defenses Are Down" is a song from the 1946 musical Annie Get Your Gun, by Irving Berlin. It was first performed by Ray Middleton.
In the song, Frank Butler sings about how falling in love with Annie Oakley has made him lose all his confidence in dealing with women.
