The Panama national football team is controlled by the Panamanian Football Federation. Panama finished as runners-up in the 2005 Gold Cup and 2013 Gold Cup. Panama reached the fourth round for the 2006 World Cup CONCACAF qualifications and advanced to the fourth round for the 2014 World Cup CONCACAF qualifications.
