The article MasterChef High School has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Page is a duplicate of MasterChef (US season 4).

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. LongLiveMusic (talk) 02:42, 27 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Act7041, and thank you for your contributions!

I wanted to let you know it seems an article you worked on, MasterChef High School, is copied from another Wikipedia page, MasterChef (US season 4). It's fine to do this as long as you provide the following information in the edit summary:

  1. a link to the article you copied from
  2. the date you copied it

You can do this now by editing the page, making any minor edit to the article, and adding the above information into the edit summary.

If you're still not sure how to fix the problem, please leave a message at the help desk. It's possible that I made a mistake, so feel free to remove the tag I placed on the article.

Thanks again for helping build the free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 02:47, 27 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your contributed article, MasterChef High School[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, MasterChef High School. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – MasterChef (US season 4). Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at MasterChef (US season 4) – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. LongLiveMusic (talk) 03:00, 27 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Removing Speedy at MasterChef High School[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for taking the time to create a page here. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed a speedy deletion tag from a page you created yourself. Because Wikipedia policy does not allow the creator of the page to remove deletion tags, an automated program has replaced the deletion tag you removed from MasterChef High School. Please do not continue to remove the deletion tag, instead, if you disagree with the deletion, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to the page by clicking this link. Once there, select the button that says Click here to contest this speedy deletion.
  2. This will take you to the talk page, where you can make your case by explaining why the page does not meet Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do. For further help about the deletion, you could contact the user who first placed the tag or a highly active user who is willing to help with deletion. This message was left by a bot, so please do not contact the bot about the deletion. Thank you, - SDPatrolBot (talk) 03:09, 27 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on High School Chef requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. MfD nomination of User:Act7041/sandbox[edit]

User:Act7041/sandbox, a page you substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Act7041/sandbox and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of User:Act7041/sandbox during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 05:44, 17 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on User:Act7041/sandbox requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free Web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". June 2015[edit]

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for attempting to harass other users. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  §FreeRangeFrogcroak 04:17, 20 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Y'know, if you'd just asked me politely to restore the material and explained why it was in your userpage (and the explanation was acceptable per Wikipedia's policies), I probably would have just restored it or a the very least, e-mailed it to you. Now? No way. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 06:51, 20 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I believe that since my block in June, I have learned to rules and regulations of Wikipedia. I have taken time to read the rules of the website, and realize that being able to edit is a privilege. I apologize for my behavior in June and would like to ask to be unblocked. Thank you. Act7041 (talk) 02:24, 1 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Hasn't responded to the questions below in almost 2 weeks. If you request again, please be sure to respond to Tokyogirl79's questions. only (talk) 23:07, 14 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

As far as I can tell, your block is based on a single edit (now hidden), though I agree the block was justified at the time. Pinging @Tokyogirl79: as the injured party, and @FreeRangeFrog: as blocking admin, to get their inputs as to whether they feel an unblock per WP:OFFER is acceptable. Optimist on the run (talk) 10:18, 2 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • I have a few questions:
  1. If you are unblocked, what type of edits will you make? Are you aware that your userspace is not meant to be a webhost and that your edits should center around things that will improve Wikipedia?
  2. Let's say that some of your content gets deleted again. How will you respond?
  3. Editing on Wikipedia can become heated. Can we trust you not to make similar vulgar remarks to other editors if they do something that makes you mad?
The biggest thing that is working against you right now is how you reacted to my deletion of your userspace content. Not only did you react poorly, but you made a personal attack on my userpage that centered around me being female. I have to emphasize that this is very, very unacceptable on Wikipedia and any similar attacks will end with you getting another permanent block, regardless of whether or not the attack is against a male or female editor. It has been a few months, but only about 6-7 months. You need to prove to us that you've matured in that relatively short amount of time. I'm not opposed to an unblocking, but I want to make sure that if you are unblocked, that you'll edit in ways that will benefit Wikipedia and that you can handle yourself appropriately if you get mad, which means no personal attacks. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 18:00, 2 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • As an admin, I can see the personal attack that preceded this block - and in my view the block was entirely justified. The term used does not have the same connotations in a number of places outwith the USA, but I don't see that as being relevant here. I think Tokyogirl79 is being very forgiving here, and I would urge you to take up her very kind approach to reconciliation - with the reminder that, should you be unblocked, any similar future conduct will result in a reinstatement of your indef block. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 18:54, 2 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • I'm trying to be at least somewhat understanding, although I will say that my first instinct is to deny the block - and I'm saying that here because I do want to make sure that he's aware of this. My official opinion will depend greatly on how he responds to the questions. I have to admit, six months isn't a long time to mature past the type of comment he made. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 19:58, 2 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Yep, my instinct is the same - we'll see. For myself, I would not support an unblock without your consent. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 20:22, 2 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • I have not visited every English-speaking country, but the offensive word used, resulting in a block, is offensive in the UK, in Australia, in New Zealand and in South Africa. I would have blocked, and would not unblock without a satisfactory answer to the question posed above. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 21:50, 2 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
