The Marikina Science High School (Filipino: Mataas na Paaralang Pang-Agham ng Marikina), commonly known as MSHS or MariSci, is a public science high school located at Mayor Juan Chanyungco Street, Sta. Elena, City of Marikina. It was established last November 2001.

As of 2007, the school has 1306 students and employs 37 teachers. The school has been recognized for its manageable and small number of students. The City Government of Marikina wanted the school to house more students and so, when the SY 2005-2006 started, at least 700 students set their foot to the newly constructed MariSci Annex at Concepcion Uno. Recently, a forum site for Marikina Science High School students had been made. visit MariSci Foyer. [1]

History

Marikina Science High School was a part of Marikina Institute of Science and Technology (MIST). By the power of R.A. 9289, MIST was transformed to Marikina Polytechnic College (MPC). MariSci was then a part of MIST until 2001.

The current principal is Mr. Lauro Z. De Guzman.

Campus

Marikina Science High School used to have only one campus, located at Mayor Chanyungco Street, Brgy. Sta. Elena, Marikina City right near the Marikina City Hall. Its telephone number presently is 647-4262 (Main Faculty).

In 2005, the school opened another campus (now used to call Annex, and the other as Main) located at Panama Street, Greenheights Subdivision, Brgy. Concepcion Uno, Marikina City. Its telephone number is 948-8883 (Annex Faculty).

First Year students have their classes at MSHS Annex and the higher years have their classes at the Main Campus, until the start of school year 2007-2008, due to changes made. Freshmen and Seniors are at the Annex and the Sophomores and the Juniors are at the Main Campus.

Marikina Science High School Hymn

We salute to the school
Pride of our land,
Years have gone by and
Years have to come,
We will stay and stand
Forever and ever,
We the teachers and
Students to lead.

Love and protection
Will flourish,
Knowledge and Wisdom
To stay,
Power and Strength
To remain,
Oh, dear MariSci,
Hear and protect us

Listen and whisper
Thy blessings
We'll raise your banner
To the sky
Let us all sing
