Sunny Deol (Template:Lang-hi, Template:Lang-pa) is an Indian film actor, producer and director. His father Dharmendra is also an Indian actor. His mother's name is Parkash Kaur. He has won two National Film Awards and two Filmfare Awards.
Career
Sunny Deol started his acting career in Bollywood with Betaab (1983) which turned out to be a successful film. Over the years he gave several hits like Arjun (1985), Paap Ki Duniya (1988), Tridev (1989), Ghayal (1990), Damini (1993), Darr (1993), Ghatak: Lethal (1996) Jeet (1996), Border (1997), Ziddi (1997) among other films. His biggest success till date is Gadar: Ek Prem Katha (2001) which highest grossing film in Bollywood after sholay. Deol has acted in every genre but is primarily known for his action roles. He turned director with Dillagi (1999), in which he also played the lead role. His brother Bobby Deol also featured in that movie.[citation needed] His film Yamla Pagla Deewana was one of the highest grossing films of 2011.[citation needed]
