The Miami MLS team is an announced professional soccer team to be based in Miami, Florida. The year the team is scheduled to join Major League Soccer (MLS) is pending due to the stadium agreement. The team's name, colors, crest, and home field are undecided. One of the principal owners will be David Beckham.[1][2]

Marcelo Claure has said he is hoping to have the team ready by 2017.[3] PortMiami is the preferred location for a stadium due to its proximity to Miami Arena, parking facilities and its "view of the ocean that few teams in the world have".[3]
