Background
Candy's debut album, called Daddy Issues, is currently being produced by label-mate Sia amongst others. Sia, who is an executive producer and a songwriter on the album, discovered Candy on Instagram and reached out to her, believing “that I was the only person who could really support [Candy] in becoming who [she is] on a grander stage or platform.”[8]
So far, Sia has written at least two songs for Candy's upcoming album, one being the single "Living Out Loud"[8] which features Sia herself, and another Cher-inspired record.[3] Other collaborators include Greg Kurstin, Jack Antonoff[9] and Matthew Koma.[3]

Singles
A song called "Rubber Band Stacks" was released as a single. The music video, directed by Cody Critcheloe[10] and styled by Nicola Formichetti, was premiered on August 17, 2015,[11][12] but it won't make the final cut to the album.[13] It was released on August 13, 2015 followed by its music video on August 18. The song is featured on the Madden NFL 16 video game.[14]
To anticipate her upcoming album, Candy released some buzz singles. On January 29, 2016; she released the first one titled "Happy Days".[15] On February 4, 2016 its video also styled by Formichetti and directed by Renata Raksha was premiered on Nylon,[16] and was later uploaded to VEVO. On May 13 she released the second, "Changes", to promote her second makeup line.[17] It was followed on June 2 by the third promotional song "Nasty" along with its music video, directed by Rankin and co-styled by Candy herself. It was premiered via Hunger TV.[18] A month later, on July 7, the track "Paper or Plastic" was released as the fourth.[19] The music video, directed by Darren Craig, premiered a week later.[20][21][22]
On December 16, 2016 Candy released a KDA remix of the previously unreleased song "Living Out Loud" which featured Sia.[23][24] The original and proper version of the song was released on February 3, 2017 as Daddy Issues lead single.[25][26][27]

Suicidal Since 1995 is the debut studio album by Swedish singer Ängie. It was released on April 6, 2018 via Rich Parents and Universal Music AB. The release was preceded by the singles "Dope", released on February 2, 2018 and "Here for My Habits", released on March 23, 2018.
Background and promotion
After signing with Universal, Ängie released the singles "Smoke Weed Eat Pussy", "Housewive Spliffin" and "Spun", which gained attention from the media and led her to be labeled as the “most shocking pop star of 2016” by The Sun[21] as well as the “most controversial star” by The Mirror.[22] On February 2, 2018 she announced her debut album Suicidal Since 1995 and released "Dope" as the lead single from the proyect.[23] The music video directed by Christofer Nilsson along Ängie herself was premiered on February 14, 2018.[24][25] She performed the song in a studio live session at East FM on March 8, 2018.[26] The second single, "Here for My Habits" came out on March 23, 2018.[27]
Composition
About the album's controversial themes, Ängie stated: "I don’t think I’m controversial. If a dude was doing the exact thing I’m doing, there wouldn’t be any fuss about it. It’s because I’m a girl. Maybe I attracted attention because I have bright and playful videos about some taboo subjects. The album is a mini diary of things that have happened in the past."[28] She also stated in an interview with HISKIND that the inspiration behind the album is based on her own life and subjects, describing the release as an "open diary".[29] Simon Lundberg from Gaffa described the record's sound as a mix of Lana Del Rey's parables and vibrato, Uffie and Brooke Candy's rhymes, Tove Lo's poetic lyrics and Yung Lean's music.[20]
