This is a collection of discussions on the deletion of articles related to Italy. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.
- Adding a new AfD discussion
- Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:
- Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
- You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Italy|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.
- There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.
- Removing a closed AfD discussion
- Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.
- Other types of discussions
- You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Italy. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.
- Further information
- For further information see Wikipedia's deletion policy and WP:AfD for general information about Articles for Deletion, including a list of article deletions sorted by day of nomination.
This list is also part of the larger list of deletion debates related to Europe.

- Speedy keep per lack of WP:BEFORE by the (now indefinitely blocked) nominator, she has an entry in Treccani, the major Italian encyclopedia ([1]), was president of a major organization like Confindustria and president of one of the 7 supermajor oil companies in the world Eni, has been profiled by major Italian publications like Rai News ([2]), La Repubblica ([3]), Il Giornale ([4], [5]) and books (eg. a chapter in Donne d'Italia by Bruno Vespa). Also English-language coverage in Financial Times (1, 2) and Politico ([6]), and some good sourcing in her Italian wikipedia page. I am sure there is a lot more digging (looking for her there are 22,000 articles in Google News [7]). 151.53.87.174 (talk) 16:02, 23 August 2021 (UTC)
- Speedy keep Baffling nomination. Furius (talk) 01:14, 25 August 2021 (UTC)
- Keep and I'll move some of the sources over to the page while we're here. BuySomeApples (talk) 07:38, 25 August 2021 (UTC)

Promotion of a Non-notable businessman. Fails WP:GNG. Lack of significant coverage about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject. DMySon (talk) 09:05, 19 August 2021 (UTC)

- Keep. The article includes two newspaper articles as references. Eastmain (talk • contribs) 12:14, 19 August 2021 (UTC)
- Delete despite the assertion by other editors, there are no actual sources that are independent and this is nothing more than complete vanity spam. PRAXIDICAE🌈 18:16, 19 August 2021 (UTC)
- Keep per Eastmain. I agree with Eastmain because during my research I found many Italian sources but they are offline and I don't know how to cite here. There is a book on him too. He is notable person, known for various innovations in pasta industry, maybe search in academic journals?. Sicleardus (talk) 17:30, 25 August 2021 (UTC)— Sicleardus (talk • contribs) has made few or no other edits outside this topic.
- This is pretty meaningless in the absence of actual, you know, cited sources. PRAXIDICAE🌈 18:42, 26 August 2021 (UTC)
Please add new comments below this notice. Thanks, Extraordinary Writ (talk) 21:24, 26 August 2021 (UTC)
- Delete I can’t find anything online to support this bio except for a single profile in Gazzetta di Parma. If anyone is able to demonstrate offline sourcing I’ll reconsider. Mccapra (talk) 10:19, 27 August 2021 (UTC)
- Delete — Per rationale by Praxidicae & Mccapra. I too do not see anything cogent that suggests GNG or anybio is met. Celestina007 (talk) 13:52, 31 August 2021 (UTC)
- Weak delete. The best I could find was [8], which appears to be a collection of issues of a magazine; unclear if it has anything to do with Barilla the Pasta company; and this, the reliability of which I'm unsure of. However, there are several passing mentions, and a presumed language barrier for most people who have searched for sources thus far: so I could be missing some sources. Does not satisfy WP:NALBUM (not been covered by multiple reliable sources in depth, not charted, not certified, etc etc. Been in CAT:NN for almost 11 years. – DarkGlow • 23:21, 18 August 2021 (UTC)

- Keep I found a few reviews including AllMusic,[9] Metal.de,[10] and Hard Rock Haven.[11] There's also this article about the album's release date in Blabbermouth.net.[12] There's other reviews as well but they look like they're on more niche websites. BuySomeApples (talk) 07:16, 23 August 2021 (UTC)
- Comment I added some sources to the page. BuySomeApples (talk) 07:30, 23 August 2021 (UTC)
- Keep: The sources indicated by BuySomeApples are reliable. I also found some more reliable sources which talk about the album: [13], [14] and [15]. That said, the article is good enough to pass WP:NALBUM. ASTIG😎 (ICE T • ICE CUBE) 14:50, 24 August 2021 (UTC)
- Keep per WP:HEY, but re: the above post, Metalreviews.com doesn't look reliable. Geschichte (talk) 18:45, 24 August 2021 (UTC)

The result was soft delete. Based on minimal participation, this uncontroversial nomination is treated as an expired PROD (a.k.a. "soft deletion"). Editors can request the article's undeletion. ✗plicit 00:38, 23 August 2021 (UTC)

Borderline, but I don't think it passes WP:NBAND or WP:GNG. Its articles in other languages and its Google search failed to show the significance or coverage we look for. This has been in CAT:NN's backlog for 12 years - I hope we can now resolve it. Boleyn (talk) 15:10, 15 August 2021 (UTC)

Fails WP:GNG and WP:NALBUM. The musical artist Haiducii is notable and one of the album's cover songs was a hit, but the album never charted and nobody has written in significant depth about it. Binksternet (talk) 01:05, 14 August 2021 (UTC)
