• Kwong Wat Yit Poh (光華日報) - Georgetown (the state capital of Penang Island)-based Penangite Chinese-language oldest daily newspaper for Penangite Chinese community was officially first established and first published based in Georgetown (the state capital of Penang Island) as Kwong Wat Yit Poh (光華日報) on 20 December 1910 (December 20, 1910 (1910-12-20)).

• Tamil Nesan (தமிழ் நேசன்) – ceased publication on 1 February 2019
• Weekend Mail – successor of the Sunday Mail, but was indefinitely suspended in 2006
• Utusan Melayu (Jawi script) – now a weekly newspaper and incorporating with Utusan Malaysia, ceased publication on 10 October 2019
