:::The revision you are referring from October 4th is ''Into the Nexus'' which has nothing to do with the layout of the game section, and there is no edit summery provided so it could mean anything. Now to get to the point. You say it is confusing readers and editors and yet not you or anyone else have brought it up on the articles Talk Page. Secondly, this is the accepted method and is used on most articles, in fact it is supposed to be used as per wikipedia editing guidelines, that is why they provide us with the template. And by the way you can't argue that if other articles do it do it this way that you can as that is also against wikipedia editing guidelines. Thirdly, the critical reception isn't allowed where you have put it. This has been a matter for discussion on the video game Talk Page and the consensus reached is simply that it shouldn't be done like this as it unsightly and confusing. This point was also made for the Sly Cooper page which has a similar problem. Now I can appreciate where your coming from but the manner in which you have gone about this has been very unruly, disruptive and somewhat inappropriate. If this continues I will have to report you to be blocked. This is not a threat, it is simply what will happen if there isn't a bit more polite cooperation on your part i.e Don't tell editors to explain themselves and dictate where they do it. Don't delete message that have been left on your Talk Page. Do not leave a statement on the articles Talk Page saying you oppose and then revert the edits. The Talk Page is where you discuss the matter and reach a consensus, not dictate what you think without a valid reason (The ones you have provided aren't) and have the editors explain themselves to you. Welcome and introduction

Hi, Jak Fisher. This is NOT some automated message...it's from a real person. You can talk to me right now. Welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed you've just joined, and wanted to give you a few tips to get you started. If you have any questions, please talk to us. The tips below should help you to get started. Best of luck!  Chzz  ►  00:29, 3 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

ようこそ
  • You don't need to read anything - anybody can edit; just go to an article and edit it. Be Bold, but please don't put silly stuff in - it will be removed very quickly, and will annoy people.
  • Ask for help. Talk to us live, or edit this page, put {{helpme}} and describe what help you need. Someone will reply very quickly - usually within a few minutes.
  • Edit existing articles, before you make your own. Look at some subjects that you know about, and see if you can make them a bit better. For example, Wikipedia:Cleanup.
  • When you're ready, read about Your first article. It should be about something well-known, and it will need references.

Good luck with editing; please drop me a line some time on my own talk page.

There's lots of information below. Once again, welcome to the fantastic world of Wikipedia!

Warning: Inappropriate editing

Your recent edits to The Kingsroad are problematic in three separate ways:

  • Your preferred change, characterizing the critical reception as "positive" or "mostly positive" is at odds with the actual reviews cited.
  • In order to support your inaccurate version of the article you removed negative critical commentary here and here.
  • You have used both this account and an IP address in an apparent attempt to make your preferred changes appear to be the work of more than one user.
  • You have been doing this without either discussing your changes on the talk page, or providing appropriate editing summaries to justify why you believe your changes appropriate.

This behavior constitutes violations of editing expectations laid out in WP:NPOV, WP:SOCK, and WP:EW. Since you're relatively new to Wikipedia, I encourage you to read an review these policies before making any other edits, and to edit in compliance with site expectations in the future. Jclemens (talk) 17:22, 3 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry it took so long to reply,

  • I stated reviews as having "Mostly favourable" not "Mostly positive". Reviews were "mostly favourable", as most scores were around 8/10 or a "B" but you based the episodes "mixed response" on how you perceived reviews to be, instead of basing it of the critics score, as I can see has been done with the IGN review, excluding its score of 8/10, and quoting it as mixed.
  • You state as though it is solid fact that I used an IP address in an attempt to make my edits appear to be the doing of more than one person. I'd appreciate if you didn't make these unfounded claims, as it seems you were just trying to discredit me so as to maintain the episodes "mixed response", and as you can see if you cheek the IP address of the other edits as I have done, they have different IP addresses though they all took place around the same time, meaning they couldn't have come from the same user.
  • Not every change needs to be discussed in the talk page, only ones that need to be verified or are proving to be problematic, which my edit wasn't, it was correcting a statement that lead the reader to think reviews were mixed, when this wasn't the case. Thanks! - Jak Fisher 21:29, 27 December 2012

Assume good faith

Jak, please remember to assume good faith. It is appropriate to point out guidelines that support a certain edit, but do this without assuming that another editor is biased and without making threats. It does not make for a conducive environment for discussing edits. Warning for something like 3RR should be an act of a last resort. Thanks, Erik (talk | contribs) 17:57, 16 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

BLP warning

Stop icon This is your only warning; if you violate Wikipedia's biographies of living persons policy by inserting unsourced or poorly sourced defamatory content into an article or any other Wikipedia page again, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. --John (talk) 19:20, 19 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You have no valid reason to remove this and threatening me by being block won't work. I have used a reliable source, where Coogan himself says he had entered rehab. It is of wikipedias neutral point of view, as it says "In 2004, Coogan entered rehab to deal with his alcohol and drug use", nothing biased written there. These sort of things are often reported on wikipedia and you have given no valid reason as to way it shouldn't be included. And it isn't original research. So that's the three points for your BLP covered. I am now consulting a supervising editor for your actions, are they seem biased and without merit (as you haven't given a clear reason as to why it shouldn't be included. Do not threaten with idle nonsense again. Thanks - Jak Fisher (talk
See WP:BLPSOURCES. And, to be really clear, I won't "threaten" again (though I prefer the word "warn"); by the nature of a final warning, I will just block if I see you again adding poorly referenced material to a BLP. Your initial block would be 48 hours, to reflect the seriousness of the offence and to give you time to read up on our policies. --John (talk) 05:22, 20 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Steve Coogan at Kevin Mazur Celebrity Portrait Studio in Park City, Utah, presented by Nintendo, January 21 2008.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. 天‍元 Origin of Heaven (link) 04:40, 5 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Steve Coogan image

Hey Jak, sorry to be a pain about the Steve Coogan article again, but File:Steve Coogan at Kevin Muzar Celebrity Portrait Studio in Park City, Utah, presented by Nintendo.jpg (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs) is going to be a problem because Wikipedia does not allow non-free images to be used when a freely licensed image exists (as is the case for Coogan) or could be created (which is the case for almost all living individuals). Image use is a somewhat tricky area of policy but the relevant pages here would be:

CIreland (talk) 18:29, 5 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Restoring the previously used image would be fine. Of course, if you come across another freely-licensed image you think would be more suitable, that would be OK too. Anything that is either public domain or has a Creative Commons license that doesn't disallow derivatives or commercial use would be fine. (look for CC-BY, CC-SA or CC-BY-SA but not a license that includes ND or NC). CIreland (talk) 19:46, 8 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Steve Coogan at Kevin Muzar Celebrity Portrait Studio in Park City, Utah, presented by Nintendo.jpg

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Steve Coogan at Kevin Muzar Celebrity Portrait Studio in Park City, Utah, presented by Nintendo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Diannaa (talk) 20:03, 10 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Jak & Daxter

Hi Jak Fisher,

Look, I don't have an "opinion" on Jak & Daxter (well, actually I do, I enjoy the games very much). The only valid question here is whether or not there is another game in development. What discussion where you referring to in your edit summary? The anon IP added 'present' again and again without any source. Maybe you can provide one, because from what I've gathered from my daily video game newsfeed, there still is no new game in development. Unless a reliable source can be added, that is either WP:OR or WP:CRYSTAL. --Soetermans. T / C 03:11, 20 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I could be mistaken, but gathering from your contributions, it seems you must've seen my message. Could you take the time to respond? Thanks. --Soetermans. T / C 08:07, 21 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Soetermans, sorry about that, I didn't safe my reply correctly the first time it seems. From what I can recall there was a discussion in the talk page referring to the matter, as there were several IP addressees that kept changing it. A similar think was happening on the Crash Bandicoot page as well; so no, I'm not referring to the one IP you have mentioned. I just glimpsed through the Jak and Daxter Talk Page and it isn't present, so I assume it most have been archived. As for the relevance of Naughty Dog, I suppose you do have a fair point, I was simply going by the consensus reached in the discussion, but that was a little while ago so it may not be that relevant to the here and now, and yes, there are no sources to prove there is another game in development so I don't really have a problem with it being changed. Sorry for the hassle and thanks for the message. - Jak Fisher (talkcontribs) 11:32, 21 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your reply, Jak Fisher. I'm glad it was just a misunderstanding. I think that it was wishful thinking and some crystalballing by that IP that keeps changing it to "present" (see diff, "Also, might I add, they will be working on a Jak 4 soon, if they aren't already."). I've changed it back to 'present'. On a sidenote, though I would love to see another J&D game, I don't think it seems likely in the near future. Naughty Dog is still working on The Last of Us DLC, and another Uncharted entry has been announced for the PS4. But who knows! Thanks, and happy editing. --Soetermans.
