Amazon Malaria Initiative

Hi there RHaworth, I have received a notification that the page User:Amazon malaria initiative has been deleted for violation of G-11: Unambiguous advertising. I would like to vouch for the article by noting that this piece has no purpose of adverting or self-promoting, and moreover, it fill and important knowledge gap. The AMI article is unbiased and is supported by third party’s sources that are purely fact biased. The reason for attempting to publish this article on Wikipedia was not for a web-hosting space (AMI has an organization website) but rather to provide information about this particular subject Malaria in the Americas that otherwise may be unknown. My hope for having a Wikipedia article is to have others contribute their knowledge to the AMI article page, including organization such as USAID and PAHO , as well as people and organizations from countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. Sincerely, michelle devlin 17:07, 17 June 2014 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mdevlin54 (talkcontribs)

Yes Thank you for that advice. I do plan on going back to article wizard and asking editors who have previously worked on PAHO and USAID page to contribute to my draft and steer my in the right direction. I also wanted to see if there was anyway you could send my text to me. I foolishly didn't saved my work to a separate word document and would like to have it as a guide for a new layout. — michelle devlin 14:04, 18 June 2014 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mdevlin54 (talkcontribs)

I deleted three of your uploads consisting of logos. These should definitely stay deleted - you are creating an article about your organisation, not re-creating your website. File:Amazon facebook.jpg will probably be OK - if you get the licensing right. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 15:53, 18 June 2014 (UTC)

I wanted to thank you again for helping me relaunch my page and ask if I was on track regarding the the sources and content I added. — michelle devlin 14:44, 20 June 2014 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mdevlin54 (talkcontribs)

Are you using ~~~~ for your signature? If not, why not? If yes, note that your custom signature must include a link to either your user page, your talk page or contribs, preferably all three. If does not, the SineBot will continue to follow you about. The content looks OK. I am a bit dubious about whether there are good independent refs but we will see what the AfC reviewer thinks. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 19:17, 20 June 2014 (UTC)

Fidelity Printers and Refinery

You deleted the article Fidelity Printers and Refinery. Could you please reinstate the article The company is the Banknote printer in Zimbabwe wholly owned by the Central Bank of Zimbabwe. apart from printing Banknotes the company is also involved in printing of other state and security documents like Ballot papers, passports, birth certificates, telecommunications recharge cards, National School Examinations question papers as well as refining of precious metals. The company also has Banknote and passport production contracts with other African countries. Fidelity printers and Refinery is the only licensed buyer of Gold in the country. The company also owns a subsidiary in Bulawayo known as the Zimbabwe Mint which strikes coins for the country and has contracts with other African countries — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rogda83 (talkcontribs) 19:21, 18 June 2014 (UTC)

Buldana Urban

Respected sir, some data has been deleted from Buldana Urban Cooperative Credit Society. is it possible to get back. and modify as per your requirement. Awards and achievements section in our article..we have some photographs is it possible to use it as a reference. i will upload it on wikimedia. thanks and Regards, V S Dongre. Vsdongre (talk) 22:49, 18 June 2014 (UTC)

  • Stop! My best advice is: do not touch this article at all. To put it bluntly: you have a blatant COI; your English is not up to the mark and you have very little idea of what a Wikipedia article looks like. You should thank Launchballer (talk · contribs) for raising the AfD. This has had the effect I expected of drawing experienced editors in. Anything you do to the article now is likely to be counter-productive. By all means upload more photographs; create a gallery for them on the Commons and add a link to that gallery in the Wikipedia article. Do not attempt to add the images themselves to the article. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:32, 18 June 2014 (UTC)

Eke3e3

Hello Sir, user Eke3e3 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) is trying to create multiples unsourced pages about football players. Recently he/she has created Tornike Grigalashvili (that you recently deleted) , Nika Sabanadze, Lasha Shergelashvili , Otar Kakabadze and many more in his/her list, all are non-notable young players having no reliable sources. Plus, the user has also uploaded bundles of non-free images some days ago that were keep on deleted. A.Minkowiski _Lets t@lk 18:48, 19 June 2014 (UTC)

Sir, I'm almost 24-hours online editor and fighting against vandals, reporting them, tagging articles for CSD and keep my eye on each vandal. I do report rapidly to every admin when I find any user vandalizing. A.Minkowiski _Lets t@lk 18:59, 19 June 2014 (UTC)

  • The image uploads seem to have stopped. Hopefully, if you keep tagging ill-referenced articles, the user may get the idea. I fear that my "slow down" message may be a bit pointless - Eke3e3 probably thinks that the stubs they are submitting are acceptable complete articles. If things get worse, come back and I will consider blocking. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 19:08, 19 June 2014 (UTC)

Sure sir, here is another one Brianschardt (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) creating multiple copyvio pages like here and there. A.Minkowiski _Lets t@lk 19:45, 19 June 2014 (UTC)

Sir, thanks for deleting Swanneck and JX2 - Multi Utility Target Platform that I tagged for SD. Here is one more article with copyvio Equity estates A.Minkowiski _Lets t@lk 14:12, 20 June 2014 (UTC)

User:Hopesypert/sandbox deleted as spam

You deleted User:Hopesypert/sandbox under G11. It doesn't read that bad to me, and the topic seems notable enough, with international news coverage of the campaign. The author spoke to me over IRC and wants to work on the draft, which seems fixable. Would you consider undeleting it? — Huon (talk) 19:35, 19 June 2014 (UTC)

Ok, thanks. Let's hope we'll get a well-written article out of it. Huon (talk) 17:32, 21 June 2014 (UTC)

Medicare

Re CMS 5 Star Rating Plan for Medicare Advantage: you appear to have deleted a useful (if not very complete or well cited) article on medicare advantage 5-Stars. Would you please restore it? I have cited this article in the past and went to look up some information that it contained to find it gone.

Medicare Advantage is a $200B portion of the US Medicare system (i.e. one of the world's largest health insurers). The 5-Stars is how CMS rates the plans themselves -- and how they apportion billions of dollars to the plans every year to hundreds of businesses including the largest private insurers in the country. (e.g. united, humana, kaiser, blue cross, etc) An article about the star rating system is decidedly not merely an advertisement about a particular product. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 8.28.19.85 (talk) 21:59, 19 June 2014 (UTC)

  • I hope you read this when you left your message. I am only replying because your wording suggests you are not a Wikipedia editor. But I cannot overlook another of the requirements in my edit notice: how do you expect me to reply if you do not provide a proper link to the page about which you are talking? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:22, 19 June 2014 (UTC)

How are you doing my mentor, admin. Rhaworth?. I hope you are not reali too stressed by vandalist? Just checking on you, and how do you access my performance this days? Cheers, (Wikicology (talk) 12:48, 20 June 2014 (UTC))

  • Oh gosh, I am I your mentor? I access your performance via your contribs. history. If you want a quick assessment of it, I will say that it seems useful. The lack of complaints on your talk page is a very strong indication that you are doing things right. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 19:17, 20 June 2014 (UTC)

Please reverse your A7 on this. Showing works by notable directors certainly does not prove notability, but is at any rate a claim to possible significance. It's all too easy to use a7 for festivals etc simply because the article is inadequate. At prod or afd, the community has a chance to improve them. DGG ( talk ) 08:17, 21 June 2014 (UTC)

i heard that there was a article about it so i searched. And then it was gone, i really hope you add it again. Because you cannot delete a page before someone improves it. So i would be pleased if you add it back but WITH caution. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.28.247.109 (talk) 12:55, 21 June 2014 (UTC)

Greetings. I was trolling the deletion log (looking for bluelinks of recently A7/G11-speedied articles) and noticed your deletion of the above articles, and the note regarding possible previous versions. Having CSD-tagged the earlier articles, I can fill in the details: The earlier articles were DOUGIAS MURDOCK and GIANHAKIS PYGOUSIS, both created by Z136552455 (now indef-blocked) and recreated by his sock Jk1101201191 (also blocked). As per WP:DUCK, I'd say it's probably safe to block the new sock Jk123654 at this point. Thanks. --Finngall talk 16:57, 21 June 2014 (UTC)

Hello, I submitted this draft, and it was rejected. I would like to try to submit it again. The instructions said to contact you if I wanted to do so. Draft:Union Tanguera

Good evening, RHaworth! You deleted Draft:Union Tanguera as a G12 of www.elsieman.org/artists/union_tanguera_2.html. However, it seems to back, copied/close-paraphrased from the same source. I've tagged it for speedy deletion, but wondered if you might have any salt handy? Regards, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 21:45, 22 June 2014 (UTC)

Deletion is cleanup

Re User:Launchballer/Wikipedia:Deletion is cleanup: I will be moving this to mainspace soon. Given this comment, do you have anything you'd like to add to it? -- Launchballer 22:22, 22 June 2014 (UTC)

Please be aware, User:Launchballer, that the contents of that page are not suitable for WP:mainspace, and if you move those contents there, I will be CSD'ing them with the quickness. -- Demiurge1000 (talk) 22:41, 22 June 2014 (UTC)

I included "Wikipedia:" for a reason - I meant projectspace. -- Launchballer 22:52, 22 June 2014 (UTC)

  • Demiurge, Launchballer is pointing out the subtlety that to do a move like this you can select Wikipedia in the drop-down namespace field and put "Foo" in the title box proper. Or you can select (article) in the drop-down and put "Wikipedia:Foo" in the title box proper. But you must not put Wikipedia in both - as I have seen often enough! — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 10:35, 23 June 2014 (UTC)

Pissed Consumer

Hi RHaworth, My name is Alex, I am writing on the subject of Pissed Consumer article which was recently deleted by you. I am the author of this article. Thank you for your professional remarks. You mentioned that the article infringes copyright. But I did not publish it anywhere except Wikipedia. I would be very grateful for your assistance with my Pissed Consumer article (http://www.pissedconsumer.com/company/pissed-consumer.html). Now it is not available and I am settling the process of page recovery. I have added notable sources as demanded. Could you restore my article please? Thank you for your time and assistance, Alex — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alex Syrov (talkcontribs) 13:15, 23 June 2014 (UTC)

  • At the bottom of the Pissed Consumer website it says: "© All Rights Reserved". Reproducing text from it was a copyvio. But kindly have the decency to wait until someone with no COI thinks your website is notable and writes about it here. If you genuinely have no COI, submit a non-copyvio version via AfC. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 16:22, 23 June 2014 (UTC)

You deleted the wrong article

I am referring to 2014 Olsberg mid-air collision. Olsberg mid-air collision was almost certainly created by a sockpuppet of Ryan kirkpatrick. I have nominated it for speedy deletion per G5. FYI I told The Bushranger, he's the administrator who knows Ryan's MO (bad spelling and grammar and more) best. — ...William 21:38, 23 June 2014 (UTC)

Please would you look at this draft and consider unprotecting Quantium Solutions. If you feel unable to unprotect QS, please leave a comment on the draft mentioning the things that need to alter for it to be accepted as an article. Fiddle Faddle 10:24, 24 June 2014 (UTC)

xat.com page

Okay, I'm a newcomer. You maybe have seen me in a lot of wikis, so I know a lot about wikis of the experience that I had in various Wikia wikis.

I think it's necessary to have a xat.com page to be created. I mean over ten million users registered it (even though once upon a time I used it, never was interested on joining their wiki) so it should have a Wikipedia page. Not to mention that there's a page called www.xat.com that redirects to something irrelevant. It should be created. It's completely necessary for it to have a Wikipedia page heck, it even has has it's own wiki. -- ELMOYQUENOCHE2 (talk) 22:53, 24 June 2014 (UTC)

As a Wikia editor myself, I can say from experience that most Wikia wikis are specific to a particular topic and thus have far far lower notability standards.--Launchballer 23:21, 24 June 2014 (UTC)

I know, I've been editing in Wikia for three years straight, which Wikia was my big passion back in 2011, but now I have an on-and-off activity on it, which I'm semi-retired in Wikia. Annoying Orange Wiki was my center of attention, which I preferred Muppet Wiki as an alternative. What about the xat.com page? -- ELMOYQUENOCHE2 (talk) 02:47, 25 June 2014 (UTC)

Quantium Solutions

Hi there, I am writing in with reference to the decision to unprotect the article handle Quantium Solutions. Since the speedy deletion of my original article some time back, I have discovered that I can actually submit it as this draft for revision first rather than publishing it straight onto wikipedia. Through that channel, I have had constructive advice via another admin as per the conversation here as to how to improve on my article and my references cited. Please see through the conversation I have had with this admin with regards to the references cited as well as their justifications (eg. of the school paper) and I hope you can reconsider your decision. If I had known initially that I could submit it as a draft to get reviewed by admins before submission I would have done so, rather than highly risking it to be speedily deleted by submitting it directly. As of now, the admin felt that my article can be accepted after a few rounds of iteration between the two of us. It has been a productive and interesting journey to improve the article and I will not want to have it resulted in it wasting the admin's time and effort to go through a step-by-step review only to have it resulted in this. I have also made the article a stub for others to add on it in future when Quantium Solutions get more recognition. Nevertheless, can you advise how to move on from here? Many thanks! Fuzzster87 (talk) 03:00, 26 June 2014 (UTC)

  • Please try and practice brevity. You have a blatant COI - I should really be giving you my standard mantra - search this page for "kindly". But I definitely want to know your relationship to Hieutrung.trinh (talk · contribs). You have mis-used the word admin five times in your message. It is a very important principle of Wikipedia that policy is made by the community, not just by admins. Reviewing of drafts does not require admin rights and @Timtrent: is not an admin.
As to your article: you have been working on it for a month but it is still, in your own words, a stub because the company lacks recongnition. What do you think of my suggestion that your text should be added to the Singapore Post article? I would of course be willing to create a redirect at Quantium Solutions. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 21:56, 26 June 2014 (UTC)
  • (talk page stalker) I imagine that anyone who reviews articles can feel to a new editor as though they have the magic powers often attributed to real admins, RH. Most of us are not. I am most assuredly not, nor do I ever want to be, as my user page says, somewhere. The COI stuff used to confuse me. It seems to be a tradition of WP:AFC that COI is allowed up to but not past the point of acceptance of an article, on the basis that the review process rips out any non WP:NPOV material. I don;t agree with it, but I am old enough and ugly enough to realise that it will take a major consensus building exercise to change it. We should have the same rules everywhere. Fiddle Faddle 22:03, 26 June 2014 (UTC)

Hi, I am sorry for not knowing the very important principles of Wikipedia well enough as you. "Admin" or not, Timtrent has been willing and more helpful than any other "admins" I have encountered thus far. If you are saying my conversations with him are deemed useless because you have the ultimate power to make the final decision, then it is indeed an insult to him as he has helped me through and through. My relationship to the above user is not even relevant in this context - I am discussing about the contents of this article as it is. As a resolution, I will take your suggestion to include my text under Singapore Post, but if the content is just a copy n paste of the draft in which I have submitted - why does it make a difference where it resides in? If this is indeed content that we are talking about. Please try and practice brevity and tell me exactly how many sources does QS need in order for it to qualify as an article? Thanks.Fuzzster87 (talk) 07:21, 27 June 2014 (UTC)

  • (talk page stalker) Me again, Fuzzster87. A couple of cracking good references are sufficient for a WP:Stub article. QS is longer and requires every fact asserted to be referenced. This is the same whether it resides in a freestanding article or as part of a larger article.
Does it matter where it is (freestanding or part of a larger article)? No. But what does matter is editor consensus. But picture it differently. If it does not matter, then it does not matter for it to be within a larger article. So my advice is to go with the flow and copy it into a new section in SP, with references.
RH, ignoring the fact that F has just poked you a little with a stick it looks to me as if you poked him a little first. Honours seem to be even. Is there something happening of which I am not aware, coz, from the outside, this conversation looks unlike your usual measured tone, and came as a surprise to me. Fiddle Faddle 13:30, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
  • Timtrent, so why are my comments here less "measured" than those anywhere else? Considering that I view Fuzzster as a spammer and possible sock puppet, they are receiving a remarkably mild response from me.
Fuzzster, please read my less measured comments. Did I give even the slightest hint that Tim's messages are useless? The difference where it resides is that QS are not notable enough to support their own article. It is not the number of references that matters but the quality of them. Text now merged. Please leave it to someone with no COI to propose a separate article. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 21:35, 28 June 2014 (UTC)

Dear RHaworth,

The page: Draft:Herreshoff 12½ (keelboat) was deleted because permission for use of the quoted PDF, http://www.herreshoffregistry.org/doc/Class_Description_12-footer.pdf, was not adequate. @Ttrbbr: The "NC" means non-commercial use only, and Wikipedia doesn't allow content that's non-commercial use only. Jackmcbarn (talk) 23:24, 30 June 2014 (UTC)
@Jackmcbarn: Clarification please. I understood that images could not be "non-commercial use only", but did not know this of text. Please direct me to the appropriate wikipedia policy and/or explanation so I don't make this error again. I will request the author of the content reconsider. @Ttrbbr: There is no preference order with licensing. All that matters is that the source license is compatible with CC-BY-SA 3.0. CC-BY and CC-BY-SA (and several other non-CC licenses) are, but CC-BY-NC, CC-BY-NC-SA, CC-BY-NC-ND, and CC-BY-ND (and several other non-CC licenses) are not.

Methods of measuring Horizontal angles

Hi Why you have deleted the page methods of measuring Horizontal angles. The page was not the part of article theodolite. it was a civil engineering topic and had reasonable sources. It was under construction and was created by owais khursheed. I removed the template because I was trying to improve it. You dont know anything about civil engineering and out of lack of knowledge and without understanding the topic you have deleted it. I think the topic did not entered your mind when you read it. Now I am going to challenge its deletion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jin khatama (talkcontribs) 05:53, 1 July 2014 (UTC)
