Kendall Jenner (born November 3, 1995)[1] is an American television personality and model. She is best known for appearing on the E! reality TV show Keeping Up with the Kardashians that she shares with her family members. She has appeared as herself on a number of television shows and while presenting at award ceremonies, and, in 2012, made a guest appearance as the character, "AJ," in an episode of Hawaii Five-0, titled, "I Ka Wa Mamua."[2] With her sister, Kylie, she designs a clothing line called "Kendall & Kylie."[3] Jenner is also gaining success as a high fashion model, and, in addition to being featured in several print ads and photoshoots, walked the runways of several top designers during New York Fashion Week, Milan Fashion Week, and Paris Fashion Week in 2014.[4]

Early life and family

Kendall Nicole Jenner was born in Los Angeles, California. She is the first daughter of Bruce Jenner and Kris Jenner (formerly Kardashian, née Houghton). She has a younger sister, Kylie. Through her mother's side, she has three older half-sisters: Kourtney, Kim, Khloé Kardashian, and one brother Rob Kardashian. From her father, she has three older half-brothers: Burt, Brandon, and Brody, and an older half-sister, Casey.[5] Jenner attended Sierra Canyon School, where she was a member of the cheerleading team.

Personal Life

Beginning in 2012, while still attending Sierra Canyon School, Kendall dated her classmate, a football player three years her senior, named Julian Brooks. The pair remained in a relationship for over a year, allowing themselves to be photographed as a couple for the first time when he joined Kendall's family on a beach trip in July 2013.[6] However, speculations of him cheating on her surfaced shortly after, and in August 2013, the couple called it quits.[7]

Career

Modeling

As a professional model, Jenner was first featured in Paper magazine's "Beautiful People" article series with Kylie in 2010.[11] She began her modeling career by signing with the Wilhelmina modelling agency at age 14. Her first modeling job was a campaign for Forever 21. She has done photo shoots with OK! magazine,[12] Teen Vogue, and photographer Nick Saglimbeni. In Season 6 of Keeping up with the Kardashians, during a family photo shoot at Nick Saglimbeni's SlickforceStudio, Saglimbeni encourages Jenner to pursue professional modeling as a career.[13]

Also, she has modeled for the Sherri Hill dress line, which specializes in dresses for proms and pageants.[14] She also modeled at the official Hello Kitty Launch for Forever 21 in Los Angeles.[15] Seventeen magazine chose Kendall along with Kylie Jenner as Style Stars of 2011 and also the new 'Style Ambassadors' for the magazine.

Jenner has also done runway modeling.[16] Her first runway modeling job was the Sherri Hill show in New York on September 14, 2011.[17] She and Kylie have also hosted fashion week parties.[18]

In 2014, Jenner walked in thirteen shows in New York, Milan and Paris including Chanel, Marc Jacobs, Emilio Pucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Givenchy and DVF.

Acting

In interviews, Jenner has expressed an interest in acting, and regularly appears as herself on a variety of American television shows.[19] In 2012, she appeared on Hawaii Five-0, as the character, "AJ," in an episode titled, "I Ka Wa Mamua."[20]

Fashion

With her sister, Kylie, she designs and inspires a clothing line called "Kendall & Kylie," available exclusively at PacSun.[3] Since it's conception, the sisters have released several collections for this line.[21]
