Living European supercentenarians
Living European supercentenarians
Below is a list of the oldest living people from Europe. Those whose lifespan is listed as 'verified' have been validated by an international body that specifically deals in longevity research, such as the Gerontology Research Group. Those listed as 'pending' have attained lifespans backed by at least one document, but not the three necessary for validation according to the standards of modern longevity research. Those listed as 'unverified' are backed by no documentary evidence, as yet.

Revision as of 22:50, 24 August 2015

This is an incomplete list of verified European supercentenarians (people from Europe who have attained the age of at least 110 years). There have been over 300 verified supercentenarians from Europe.[1] The oldest European ever was French woman Jeanne Calment, who is also the oldest verified person ever and died at the age of 122 years 164 days. The oldest verified European man was Spaniard Joan Riudavets Moll who died at the age of 114 years 81 days. As of 11 July 2024, there are 11 verified living supercentenarians, along with 7 pending[2], the oldest of whom is Italian woman Emma Morano,[1] aged 124 years, 225 days.
