Gaby Herbstein

Hi Antrocent! First of all, thank you for your edits on the Gaby Herbstein article. I am new in Wikipedia and I am still figuring out a few things about how it works, so all your help editing is great and welcome! However, there are two specific things I would like to change back in the article because of their relevancy when informing about this photographers work. I share my thoughts with you before doing so:

1) I would change "Argentine fashion photographer" for "Argentine photographer", because according to my research defining her as a fashion photographer is a conceptual difference with her actual work. It is true that fashion photography is one facet of her work, but she has also produced relevant artistic projects that are not related to fashion, for example Huella Ecologica 2 (La Basura no es Basura). Here she joined Pablo Bernasconi, an argentine illustrator that works with recycled materials and worked together on a concept of ecology. This project (that couldn't be labeled as fashion photography) has been considered so important that was exhibited in the Obelisk, that is one of the most iconic and crowded places of Buenos Aires. This leads me to my next point:

2) I believe her exhibitions should be listed in the article (as they where originally), because they are precise information about her career and how her work was received by society. Also, if we were debating whether a subject is notable or not, exhibitions in art museums and public places are facts that give count of the relation between any work of art and its reception by the audience: this is strongly related to an artists notability. I don't find this information as promotional, but as precise information that can be relevant in any research from an art theory point of view (I figure a big part of the readers of this page would be art students, photography students, etc.). 1. Okay, you may change that back if you wish.
2. Exhaustive lists of an individuals work are generally not encyclopedic. The problem is not that it is promotional, rather that it more what you would expect to find on a curriculum vitae than an encyclopedia article. An encyclopedia article should describe the overall thrust or development of a persons work (as part of this, specific examples may be given). For example, articles about academics may cover papers of theirs that are representative of their work or were particularly notable, but do not contain lists of every article they have ever published.

Regarding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mike Rhyner

You've only been here 6 months so I am going to give you a break and not hit you with a warning template for what you said you did on the article at the AfD above, but you should be aware that is not how you handle editing disputes. See WP:BRD. After a reversion, the issue is to be discussed on the article talk page and a consensus reached for the changes. You do not just re-add your content.

I am not even going to bother re-reverting your changes tho, because every reference you add is just bolstering my arguement that this dude is totally not notable. Being a radio personality, even in one of the top 10 markets in the country, is just not enough for notability. All the ref's you are showing, even the book, is primarily local in nature and much more about the station then the person. The only one you have shown that is primarily about him and discusses him in detail, is an interview with no other content, and that isn't WP:INDY and says nothing to notability. John from Idegon, the article Mike Rhyner will be kept because its subject is clearly notable and I do not appreciate your threats and attempts to sabotage that. Up to this point I have tried to be very polite and even supplicating in the hope that you might join me in building the encyclopedia instead of defensively doubling down on your deletion nomination. Now, in the spirit of constructive criticism, I would just like to say that I have found your conduct aggressive and insulting. As to your contention that I need to read WP:BRD, I think it is you for whom that advice applies. I view your removal of 90% of the pages content (entirely non-controversial stuff like what university he attended) and references as the bold action, which would make my re-addition of some of that content, as part of much larger improvement of the page, the revert action (if you can even call that a revert). Ged UK, I did not tag the page for deletion under A7. The band SilentScream is the same as Paperplane Pursuit, they recently changed their name. The SilentScream article needs to be moved over the Paperplane Pursuit article.I tagged it for deletion under G6 using the G6 template with said rationale in the rationale field. I discovered the Paperplane Pursuit article while reviewing new pages when it was an extremely low quality article and added the sources that are now on the page (my improvements) before I discovered the well developed SilentScream page. Heya, yeah I kinda wanted to get back involved due to the issues around articles around trans people, the shitfest around Chelsea manning was a disgrace, so actually trying to write good articles now rather than just being a bit of a glorified RC robot. I learnt alot since 2006 :).
